Chapter 98 - Chapter 92 Hyperion Attacks

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Through the wormhole, the aftershocks of the explosion poured out from the sky, an unimaginable inferno of flames in a spherical shape, destroying and burning several buildings around Stark Tower like straw.

The entire New York and hundreds of miles around experienced a tremendous tremor.

The flames spread through the air, sweeping for several miles.

"This nuclear bomb has a considerable yield."

Facing the blinding glare and the terrifying flames capable of turning a person to ash, Ron narrowed his eyes slightly.

He activated his ability, transforming his entire body into an invisible black hole, and the explosion's energy was completely devoured before reaching him.

Like a colossal wave firmly split by an immovable reef, a fan-shaped vacuum zone formed within the sweeping explosion of flames.

Audreyf was behind him, only her hair fluttering, unharmed in the slightest, not even feeling a hint of high temperature.

"Your Planet still has weapons of this caliber?"

She looked at the scene in the distance, a hint of surprise in her eyes.

"Let's go, see your brother."

Ignoring her surprise, Ron led her towards the city center.

As for the nuclear radiation in the city center, still potent enough to kill ordinary people, he didn't care in the slightest.

"The invasion seems to be resolved."

The nuclear blast was merely an aftershock, not spreading too far, and Spider-Man and others, dishevelled, emerged from the buildings they had taken refuge in, relieved to have survived.

The wormhole remained open.

The Chitauri are a fanatical race, with absolute control of superiors over subordinates; they not only capture cosmic creatures to create biological weapons like the Leviathan but also turn their own kind into biological weapons.

Once the mothership exploded, all Chitauri lost connection and fell to the ground, and the massive Leviathan crashed from the sky.

A disaster that the Avengers had struggled with all their might to resolve was easily ended by Ron within seconds of his arrival.

Everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief.

"The explosion only brought down Stark Tower and a few surrounding buildings; that was the invasion center, so the civilians should have been evacuated."

Hawkeye, covered in dust, finished speaking, then added with a hint of worry.

"Stark, I wonder if he's still alive…"

Before he could finish speaking,

"Cough, cough, what do you mean 'only'?"

Stark's displeased voice rang out, having only suffered some contusions within his armor.

On the scorching street, he pushed away a huge slab of stone that had fallen on him and stood up, looking dishevelled.

At the center of the nuclear blast's aftershock, which came through the wormhole, only the device that opened the wormhole was protected by the Tesseract's own energy, completely unharmed, suspended and fixed in mid-air.

And the Stark Tower was reduced to nothing but its foundation.

"My family's building for decades… how do I turn this thing off?"

Black Dwarf, blown away by the Impact, emerged from the shattered door of a shop he had crashed into, his mouth bleeding, head dizzy and swaying, before he could even stand steady.

"Ron is here, the powerful Midgardian I told you about."

Loki, his golden horned helmet nowhere to be seen, covered in scrapes, had barely escaped thanks to the Mind Stone's power and his own strong physique, but with an unceasing unease, he found Black Dwarf and told him to summon Thanos to Earth.

"The Chitauri forces are completely annihilated."

"We must call for aid from Thanos and have him come to Earth through the wormhole.

Otherwise, the plan to invade Earth will fail."

Even with the Mind Stone, he didn't feel safe enough; he hoped to seek Thanos's protection.

"My Lord Sanos?"

Black Dwarf sneered, "Asgardian, there's no part for My Lord Sanos in the plan."

"What do you mean?"

Loki was confused; did Thanos no longer want Earth?

It couldn't be that the Mad Titan, whose fearsome reputation echoed throughout the Universe, was scared.

"Loki, you are at least Odin's adopted son, and now you work for Thanos; you truly disgrace Odin."

A slightly magnetic voice came, and Ron, leading Audreyf, slowly flew over, exuding a powerful aura, looking down at the panicked Loki on the ground.

"Ron, if you know Thanos, you should know he has slaughtered thousands of life Planets; Earth is insignificant compared to that."

Loki's palms sweated as he gripped the Mind Stone, pointing it at Ron, and shouted.

Upon seeing Ron, he felt a bit breathless, instinctively recalling the shadow in his heart, how he was brutally tormented by Ron last time, how he was almost strangled like a chick in Ron's hands.

He tried to scare Ron with Thanos's name.

"Thanos's power is feared by the entire Universe!"

"I don't know how to describe you, Loki.

'Frog in a well' isn't quite fitting for you, but you are indeed ignorant."

Ron shook his head slightly.

Loki was not born in a 'well'; Asgard, as an old cosmic hegemon, certainly could not be called a well.

But Loki was intimidated by a mere Thanos, treating Thanos as a strong individual equal to or even more powerful than Odin.

"You insult the title of Odin's son."

With ribbons fluttering from her arms and dressed in battle armor, Audreyf flew in mid-air, possessing a mixture of sacredness and cold sternness in her demeanor; she frowned tightly, looking at Loki, her nominal brother, with great displeasure.

Born into Asgardian royalty, yet reduced to associating with a madman like Thanos from the Universe.

"What right do you have to judge me?"

Loki dared not retort to Ron, but he dared to retort to Audreyf; enraged, he fired an energy ray from his scepter, which Audreyf easily dodged, and with a gentle sweep of her ribbon, Loki was violently sent flying, crashing into and denting a car on the road.

"Thanos is feared in the Universe more because he is just a madman."

Ron commented with a smile.

Thanos indeed has formidable strength, but the reason he is so feared is because he is insane, madly slaughtering living beings throughout the Universe, with a thought process that is incomprehensible, which is why he is so terrifying.

"Earthling, you dare to disrespect My Lord Sanos!"

Black Dwarf, a loyal follower of Thanos, heard this and angrily leaped, swinging his incredibly heavy pickaxe, which whistled through the air.

The heavy pickaxe, held in both hands, struck down.

Clang!

Ron extended one hand, easily catching it; the pickaxe could not advance an inch further.

"Disrespect? What is Thanos, that he should be worthy of my reverence?"

He grabbed the pickaxe and shook it slightly; Black Dwarf, who was holding the pickaxe with both hands, felt an irresistible force, as if weightless, and was flung away.

Bang, his massive figure crashed through the wall of a building.

"Here, take it back."

Ron casually threw the heavy pickaxe, and it flew at an astonishing speed, growing larger in Black Dwarf's widened eyes.

Bang!

A huge, deep crater, with shattered bones and flesh splattered everywhere.

Black Dwarf, one of the Black Order who had followed Thanos in slaughtering thousands of Planets, was smashed into a pulp by his own weapon.

Ron's expression was calm, as if he had just crushed an insect with a flick of his hand.

Whoosh!

Suddenly.

He slowly reached out behind him.

Loki, who had leaped to stab, was caught and revealed, almost an exact repeat of the previous scene, hanging in mid-air while clutching the Mind Stone.

"Again, playing your little tricks in front of me."

Ron looked at him indifferently and said.

"Don't you learn?"

"This time I did it on purpose."

Loki sneered triumphantly, even brazenly; he activated the Mind Stone, and the scepter emitted a wave of psychic energy.

But Ron's expression did not change in the slightest.

"What are you doing?"

"Impossible."

His smile froze, and he tried again, disbelievingly, but still nothing happened; the scene was eerily silent.

Swoosh!

A heat ray blast sent Loki flying.

Ron unhurriedly took the scepter, examining the gem inlaid at its tip, and slowly said.

"You think my mind is as weak as an ordinary person's, to be controlled by you?

How naive."

The Mind Stone's power is almost infinite, but not everyone can wield it.

The scepter itself and the Tesseract's casing are artificial devices created to make it easier to use the gem's power, and the power that can be borrowed through them is limited.

Otherwise, Thanos would not have entrusted the Mind Stone to Loki so readily.

"No…"

Cold sweat trickled down his forehead; Loki's heart turned cold at this sight, his last shred of hope gone—Ron was not only strong in body and energy, but his mind was equally powerful.

Even the Mind Stone could not harm Ron.

"Loki, surrender."

Suddenly, the Avengers, led by Captain America, arrived; Spider-Man shot out a few webs, sticking Loki's hands and feet to the ground, and Luke Cage, picking up a Chitauri weapon, unceremoniously slammed the butt of it into his forehead.

"You've killed countless people; you'll definitely be sentenced to death."

"…Stop."

Audreyf was silent for a moment, then spoke to intervene.

She had no fondness for Loki, but her mother, Frigga, had mentioned Loki before, speaking of him with the same loving tone as she would a biological son.

She couldn't let Loki die on Earth: "He is an Asgardian; I will send him back to Asgard for lifelong imprisonment."

"Why?!"

Luke Cage retorted angrily, "He killed countless Earthlings."

Loki should remain on Earth to face judgment.

Captain America frowned and coldly said, "Madam, we cannot agree with what you said; he must remain on Earth to pay for his crimes."

Too many people in their country had died because of Loki.

Due to Ron's influence, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Captain America had not yet met Thor, unaware that Asgard possessed the star-destroying weapon, the Bifrost Bridge; otherwise, their attitude might have been different.

"I don't want to say it a second time."

Audreyf frowned, her heroic spirit flaring, and slowly pressed her hand to the Star Sword at her waist: "Hand him over to me."

The atmosphere instantly became tense.

As one of the most lethal assassins in the Milky Way Galaxy, raised in a place like Heaven, she was not some infinitely kind, good lady.

"Madam…"

They couldn't hand over the person, but Captain America also looked at Ron with deep apprehension; he saw that this beautiful orange-haired woman had come with Ron.

If they were to fight…

Black Dwarf, whom he had struggled to defeat for a long time and who had been smashed into a pulp by Ron with a single blow, was lying not far away…

But the next second, Ron, without a word, grabbed the Mind Stone and flew away, showing no intention of getting involved in the matter.

This was Audreyf's own decision.

Moreover, with Audreyf's strength, dealing with this Avengers team would be effortless.

It was just that this Avengers team actually had Spider-Man; a quick glance with his X-ray vision suggested it was the Extraordinary Spider version.

He didn't look like a high school student and was also taller.

But he didn't pay it much mind either.

In mid-air, Stark racked his brain, trying to figure out how to close the wormhole.

A wormhole leading directly to space, opened above Earth, would affect the atmosphere if left open for too long.

"King Ron, how does it feel to save Earth again?

Even though my building was razed to the ground."

He saw Ron approaching and said.

In fact, Stark also knew Ron had arrived and, believing there was nothing more to worry about, confidently came here to ponder how to close the Tesseract.

"Are you asking me for compensation?"

His eyes fixed on the Tesseract, which emitted a powerful, ethereal blue energy, he replied.

"If it weren't for Wakanda's Vibranium, I would now be scattered dust everywhere.

Tony Stark's life is worth far more than a mere building."

Stark waved his hands.

Even when expressing gratitude, he couldn't help but show off a bit.

"This matter can't be blamed on you."

Tens of thousands of brutal alien troops rampaging through this urban area, every second delayed could mean countless more deaths; even just now, the other Avengers were in precarious situations under the fierce assault, such as Hawkeye, Black Widow, and that red-hooded Spider-Man.

If they had found a way to close this device before throwing the nuclear bomb, thousands of lives might have been lost in the interim.

In his eyes, Ron's actions were incredibly bold and precise, like a surgeon's knife; appearing for just a few seconds, he had devised the most correct solution, turning the tide and resolving a global crisis.

"What a pity…"

Finally, he clicked his tongue and muttered, with a hint of frivolous regret: "If I had saved the World this time, when I die, I'd definitely go to Heaven, and maybe even God himself would welcome me and give me a few beautiful brides."

Such a big opportunity to steal the spotlight by saving Earth, and it wasn't him.

Even though it happened right on top of his Stark Tower.

However, Stark also knew that even if Ron hadn't acted, it wouldn't have been his turn; when the nuclear bomb arrived, he was almost overwhelmed by the Chitauri airship attacks, being thrown around.

"Space Stone…"

Ron ignored Stark's mumbling, extended the Mind Stone, and slowly thrust it towards the energy shield.

"Uh, Ron… I can call you that, right?"

Seeing his action, Stark quickly and frantically warned, "I advise you not to touch it; this thing will automatically retaliate based on the force, it's not that easy to pierce."

If Ron were to thrust with his strength, he certainly didn't want to be thrown back a hundred meters.

Ignoring his warning, the Mind Stone steadily pierced the energy shield; Stark's eyes widened at this sight.

"How did you do that?"

Bang!

The setup was destroyed, and the Tesseract fell into Ron's hands; he weighed it.

A scepter in one hand, a Tesseract in the other.

"Of the six Infinity Stones, one-third are now in my possession."

As for how he did it—"The energies of the Stones are mutually sensitive; they are almost a single entity."

The wormhole in the sky, without energy support, closed on its own, and he replied, turning and flying away.

"Stones, what Stones?" Stark, left behind, was puzzled and felt a slight sense of unease.

He had spent half a day getting beaten while trying various methods to close this device, and after the alien forces were dealt with, he spent another half day racking his brain, yet couldn't find a solution, while Ron effortlessly resolved it in a few seconds.

Compared like this, it made him and the Avengers seem like useless individuals.

"He closed the wormhole."

"Why does this scene feel so familiar?

I remember S.H.I.E.L.D.'s video archives; after he resolved the trouble Loki brought last time, he took away that powerful ice weapon.

Is he going to do the same thing?"

On the images displayed by extraterrestrial satellites, several high-ranking government officials were intensely debating.

"The Tesseract is ours; we absolutely cannot let him take it!"

Last century, the Nazi HYDRA, by studying this treasure, developed weapons far surpassing those of today, and they had just started to achieve some results along this path.

They absolutely cannot lose the Tesseract!

This was the key to whether their technology could surpass the entire World, surpass Wakanda, and permanently dominate the globe!

"Wakanda's technology already surpasses ours significantly; if Ron also gets the Tesseract, who will rule Earth in the future?"

"That mutant squad can't stop him; send 'him' to stop Ron, and if he can kill him, even better."

"Are we really deploying Hyperion?"

Someone among them mentioned that name with a slight reservation.

"Just have him complete the mission and return immediately, not lingering outside!"

Finally, someone decisively slammed the table, ordering the deployment of the government's secret weapon, to stop Ron from taking the Tesseract at all costs.

Meanwhile, Audreyf had already started fighting Captain America and the others; Captain America had become stronger with the help of the symbiote, and Spider-Man and Luke Cage were also not weak among super-powered individuals.

However, they were facing a woman more powerful than the current Thor; they were soundly defeated, and except for Captain America, who had healing abilities, all were knocked down.

Ron was about to call Audreyf to leave.

Suddenly, he frowned and looked towards the distant horizon.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Above the firmament, a tall, imposing figure, radiating a sharp aura, flew at dozens of times the speed of sound, leaving a series of sonic booms in his wake!

A strong individual he had never encountered on Earth, besides Odin.

In his telepathic sense, an incredibly strong mind, far surpassing Audreyf's.

"Hyperion?"

Gazing at the distant sky, beyond normal human vision, Ron remained expressionless, his gaze fixed on a single figure.
