Alexander Smith
Given the pace of Daniel's product improvement, Alex has already decided to give up on his magic machineries research if any other players that can match Daniel's resources came into the picture. There is just no way Alex or his two brothers can ever compete against a player that have the backing of million of dollars at their disposal. Though he is a big fan of David versus Goliath, such story doesn't happen much in real life. If it ever happens, he will have to come to term that the royalty fees are not for his family to earn and focus solely on manufacturing magic machineries alone. Since an inventor doesn't get exclusive manufacturing rights, he is confident he can do a much better job creating superior quality machineries against a bloated conglomerate filled with red tapes.
The emergence of spirit energy battery has greatly expanded the players production capacity as they are no longer limited by their own internal energy reserve. In turn, it has been a boon to the family's business. Orders for magic machineries, especially for the magic stamping press has been in the backlogged ever since other players discovered how a few magic machineries early adopters have suddenly been able to significantly raise the production rate for basic components and equipment. At the rate the machineries orders are coming in and the premium offered for speedy delivery, Alex and Joshua will be so busy completing those orders that he has inadvertently fulfilled his initial goal of making a fortune from a market shortfall.

Acting Sect Leader Maximus Radcliffe
Maximus has been kept busy ever since the usage of spirit energy battery gain momentum across Eldorin. The production capability of his disciples has either tripled or quadrupled now that they no longer need to meditate to recover their spirit energy reserve whenever they run dry. If his disciples ever managed to solve the hurdle of mental fatigue as well, they can literally go on a continuous production run without ever getting tired like a piece of machinery. Even discounting the mental fatigue and the daily login limit, Maximus original development blueprint for the future is no longer relevant now that all settlements are developing way too fast exacerbating the issue of manpower.
Moreover, his disciples reliance on machineries to increase productivity contrast greatly from the cultivation world's common sense. Prior to this, Maximus will always equate production rate and quality to cultivation realm. The higher a disciple's cultivation realm, the more he or she can produce and the higher the grade of goods being produced. Spirit energy battery broke the logic since the machineries invented by his disciples can be operated by those in the first cultivation realm or even without any cultivation.
Even before spirit energy battery has been invented, the enterprising disciples has already began to build a budding economy outside of transacting with the sect for the goods and services they need. To facilitate private transaction, Maximus has ordered that the compensation for all tasks on Oryn will be half paid in spirit stones while the remainder in sect merits. The emergence of private businesses has created a rather peculiar town environment where a majority of the shops are closed for business every five days. All these problems could have been easily resolved if he can just bring in natives from other worlds in the lower realm.
In Maximus original blueprint, he was planning to give access to other worlds in the lower realm roughly ten Earth months down the road when disciples in the third major realm begins to appear. Now that he has to move forward the whole timeframe, he will have to carefully assess the risk of his disciples falling into the wrong hand. Even if he limits access to the outside world only to disciples in the second major realm, there is still an increased chance of them being captured and in the worst case scenario, revealing their identity as a disciple of Immortal Ascension Pavillion. At the very least, he doesn't have to solve everything on his own. With twelve experienced old fossils, Maximums is pretty sure they will sooner or later come up with a comprehensive solution to mitigate all known risk.
Before the ripple effect brought about by the emergence of spirit energy battery can even subside, Maximus has to deal with another shocking discovery made by a second disciple. Other disciples have been trying out all sorts of experiments pushing the boundary of what they believe is possible ever since the news of Daniel Watson success in inventing something new spread. The whole experimental mania got even worse when this second disciple made his discovery public. This second disciple, a second grade alchemist has successfully proven that a basic spirit pill can be mass produced using a production line. Although the pill itself is the most common pill that only cultivators in the first major realm will find useful, the discovery significance lies in how it has broken the conventional way on how pills are being made in the cultivation world for ages. Needless to say, the initial quality of those mass manufactured pills is only passable at this point in time, Maximus instinct is telling him that the pill quality will certainly improve over time. Take the spirit energy battery as an example, the rate of improvement is just plain amazing.
The latest discovery will also revolutionize and change the dynamics in the alchemy field for the foreseeable future. With every pill formula that moves away from the traditional way of pill making, it will eliminate production wastage due to the possibility of failure while ensuring quality consistency. Even the most experienced alchemist will fail from time to time for pill formulas they are unfamiliar with nor can they guarantee the pills' quality with each successive attempt. Maximus can already envision a future where cultivators will no longer need to beg or bribe an alchemist to make a pill unless it is exceptionally rare or needing a pill exceeding the quality available in the market. At the same time, alchemy cauldron will also be relegated to the role of a training tool in most cases in the future. In the eventuality the supply issue for rare herbs is solved as well, pill shortages will become a matter of history. At this point in time, Maximus will no longer be skeptical if any of his disciples claim that they will one day find a solution to grow whatever herbs that is ever needed.
His disciples have already broken two conventions of the cultivation world to date. Maximus do wonder how many more surprises will be waiting for him in the days to come. Without the presence of spirit energy, Earthlings development has deviated greatly from the rest of humanity in the cultivation world. Some of the school of thoughts and beliefs toward life are so divergent that it will cause a controversy or scandal in the cultivation world. Nonetheless, such developments might not be a bad thing for Immortal Ascension Pavillion. Take the pill production line discovery as an example, the sect can probably bring all alchemist sects to their knees when the sect fully monopolizes all the most profitable pills sold in the market. Adding to the fact cultivators' reliance on pills, the alliance against the sect will fall apart sooner or later the moment the market is being flooded with high quality pills but at a cheaper price. No sects out there can find common ground and boycott the sect's pills since any sect that dare do so in the long run will be left in the dust in term of cultivation strength by those sects that embrace it.
The latest development within
Thankfully, the rune of secrecy has been doing a good job so far. The spell inscribed to their soul has been subtlety influencing the disciples not to reveal anything sensitive about the game. Despite the success, the disciples' friends and relatives have begun to take notice of
