Chapter 94 - Chapter 90: Rescue Mission

"Made chocolate cake, mont blanc, cream parfait. Give feedback. Survey for next creation. If tasty, say why. If bad, list improvements. Raw opinions matter most—don't slack! Here's the form!"

"Sweet—full of care and passion. Too good for me," Arash said.

"Delicious. Your effort shines. Sorry, I'm no poet," Cú Chulainn added.

"Earnest like your sister. Tasty perk," Hijikata noted.

"Sweet, tasty, perk… too vague. Fine, no recipe changes. Adjust topping amounts, sweetness for variety," she mused.

To the rescue!

United Rome's capital located, Just Rome's army amassed, charging forward—

Scattering lone squads and magical soldiers, relentless advance!!

"⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛—!!!"

A colossal Berserker's roar shook earth and air!!

"Surrounded by carnage. Master, Mash, Nero—crush the main target with all you've got," Gilgamesh ordered.

"Got it!" Ritsuka replied.

"Yes!" Mash nodded.

"Leave it to me!" Nero declared.

The trio charged the giant Berserker!

I'll clear the surrounding soldiers.

"Hm…"

Undead soldiers, lifeless. About ten thousand.

"For a decisive battle, I'll warm up," Gilgamesh said.

Selecting treasures: baptized, holy-sealed, demon-slaying weapon prototypes.

Cannon setup—skyward, sweeping the area. Total: 500.

"Let's play saint," he snapped his fingers.

"'Gate of Babylon'"

Countless treasures rained, crushing, scattering, returning undead to dust.

"Not bad. Clearing fodder's fine," Gilgamesh mused.

Glancing at Master, Ritsuka supported with Command Spells, Mash blocked the Berserker's storm-like attacks, and Nero struck precisely. Their long partnership shone.

"Well-honed. They ring when struck, shine when polished—worthy material," he said.

Add variety to shots. Pinpoint soldier positions, assign cannons to surround—feet, heads, blind spots.

Reduces waste, ensures precision kills. Undead's no issue.

"Fine-tuned work. No slacking, as promised," he snapped again, aiming at necks, skulls, hearts.

Treasures pierced, decimating nearly ten thousand in minutes.

Individual targeting—worth remembering.

"Now…"

He eyed Master's group.

"Overflow with agony, 'Zabaniya'—"

Hassan crafted a heart's mirror, crushing it.

"⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛—"

The Berserker froze, heart destroyed.

"I'll finish it!! Haa!!" Nero dashed, slashing.

"Finale! 'Golden'!"

Ritsuka summoned Golden via Chaldea—

"Got it! Critical!!"

"'Golden Impact'—!!!"

Golden's mighty blow felled the Berserker.

"Amazing, you three! Servant battles are your forte now!" Romani cheered.

"Our momentum outshines meteors! To the capital!" Nero rallied.

"Yeah!!" Ritsuka shouted.

"Noisy bunch," Gilgamesh smirked.

They're growing, gaining experience.

I must strive harder, leave no openings.

"We're unstoppable! Rome's pacification is near!!" Nero beamed.

But something's off. Too smooth. Lev and the leader haven't appeared despite our approach. No counterattacks, even after the Berserker. What's their plan?

"It won't be that easy," Gilgamesh muttered as a messenger arrived.

"Report! Spartacus and Lu Bu, stationed rearward, pursued enemies, leaving the front! Enemy detachment captured General Boudica!"

"What!?" Nero gasped.

"Two-front strategy. Weaken us with Berserkers, capture Boudica to limit us. Decent tactician," Gilgamesh nodded.

Boudica, captured…!

"Where's her captors?" Nero demanded.

"Stationed at the nearest fort. No movement," the messenger replied.

"Why? Sparing Berserkers, holding Boudica at a fort, not the capital…?" Romani puzzled.

Enemy's intent unclear. What's their goal?

"I trust the Berserkers to return. I want to rescue Boudica!" Nero declared.

"A trap using a general as bait. You'll go?" Gilgamesh asked.

"Of course! I won't abandon those who trust me!"

"Sounds like her," Gilgamesh said.

I agree. We can't lose a comrade protecting humanity.

But I'm a Servant. The call's Master's.

"Let's go! Trap? Crush it!" Ritsuka said.

"Senpai, you're thinking like a Berserker!" Mash warned.

"No objections. She's your general—save, cook, or burn her," Gilgamesh said.

"Thanks, all! Ready the horses! We save Boudica!!" Nero commanded.

"Roger!" Ritsuka saluted.

"Hope it's not her history's fate. She's endured enough," Gilgamesh muttered.

To the fort!

"Boudica! Where are you! Answer!!" Nero shouted at the small fort.

"Reply!!" Ritsuka called.

"Boudica-san!!" Mash echoed.

They searched desperately.

"She's fine. Sleeping soundly," a red-haired youth appeared.

"You… the Conqueror?" Gilgamesh's eyes widened.

"That's future me. Iskandar. Yeah, that's the future," the youth said.

"Hmph, quite the radiant form. The gods reshaped you," Gilgamesh noted.

"Haha, I hear that a lot. Hi, Hero King. Call me Alexander," he bowed.

"Hero King, I'd love to chat, but I'm only here for Nero," Alexander said.

"…?" Nero tilted her head.

"No place for me, huh? Bold, future overlord," Gilgamesh smirked.

I feel the vessel's excitement at 'Conqueror.' More than just another figure.

"Sorry. You'll deal with…" Alexander began.

"You'll entertain me," a tall, black-haired man in a suit, un-Roman, interrupted.

"Who are you? Met before?" Gilgamesh asked.

"No surprise you don't recall. I was a powerless child then," the man replied.

"Gil, a friend?" Ritsuka asked.

"Some small fry I crushed in another time. I don't track mongrels," Gilgamesh scoffed.

Selecting treasures cautiously.

He's hostile—clearly.

"Okay if I leave it to you, Teacher?" Alexander asked.

"Go fulfill your wish. I'll—"

"Challenge a king, mongrel?" Gilgamesh taunted.

"I'll face the one my king challenged!!"

Resolve and defiance struck!!

"I'm cooking now!"

"Can't lose! More faith, prayers, love! That makes food delicious! Let's cook!"
