Chapter 58: Hell Ignites
The arena, scarred by battle, had barely begun to settle when the murmurs of the demons erupted into screams of outrage. Kairo's audacious demand for freedom hung in the air like a spark over dry kindling.
"He dares… demand freedom?!" one elder demon shrieked, claws digging into the sand.
"Hades always grants requests! What trick is this?" another hissed, eyes wide with fear.
Hades appeared above the pit, a shadow like a storm descending, aura suffocating and crimson-black. His gaze landed on the loudest demon, one that had leaped to challenge his authority openly.
"Enough," Hades' voice boomed, cutting through the chaos like thunder.
In an instant, the defiant demon was obliterated. Bones shattered, blood sprayed, and its roar ended in a choked gurgle. The arena froze. The other demons' eyes widened — and then all hell broke loose.
Rage and terror combined into a deafening roar. The remaining demons erupted into a frenzy, claws, fangs, and dark energy slashing through the air. Phantom titans rose from the sand, shadows twisted, bones erupted violently from the ground — every inch of the arena became chaos incarnate.
"Did he… just kill one of us?!" a demon screamed, panic overtaking reason. "Hades… he lies! He kills!"
The frenzy escalated into pure madness. Demons turned on one another, fighting blindly, unable to contain the flood of fear, rage, and disbelief. The ground shook beneath the surge of bodies and energy.
Kairo stepped into the center, chains rattling like serpents, crimson aura blazing. The Bone
hummed in resonance with the madness, as if acknowledging its master's intent.
"Let them come," Kairo murmured, voice calm amidst the storm, "if freedom is denied, then we will take it!"
Even Igron's eyes widened at the sight. "The pit… it's collapsing under his presence. He hasn't even fought yet… and they're already losing control."
The arena had become a storm of fury, blood, and bone. The rebellion had begun — not quietly, not subtly, but in a roar that shook the very foundations of Hell. Hades' wrath was rising, but Kairo's defiance was unstoppable.
Hell itself had been challenged.
