Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: Claiming the Grave

The chamber of the Gravekeeper loomed dark and silent, gravestones pulsing faintly in time with the whispers of the dead. Shadows clung to every corner, murmuring as Kairo stepped forward, chains rattling, Bone Blade humming with latent energy.

The Gravekeeper rose slowly, staff of blackened bone raised, eyes unseen beneath the hood. "You have come far, Red-Eyed One. The pact is offered… your soul willingly given. You may wield my power."

Kairo's crimson eyes gleamed, reflecting the dim, spectral light of the chamber. "I know," he said, chains coiling tighter. "But I want more than your power. I want… everything."

With a sudden, fluid motion, Kairo lunged. Chains struck first, coiling around the Gravekeeper's staff, yanking it aside. The Bone Blade followed, a flash of crimson steel imbued with the Gravekeeper's magic.

"You… dare?" the Gravekeeper hissed, but it was too late.

Crimson chains wrapped around him, piercing, constricting, and binding. Kairo moved with precision, each strike reclaiming his soul piece by piece, unraveling the centuries of control the Gravekeeper had maintained over the Seal.

With a final, bone-shattering blow, the Gravekeeper fell. His staff shattered, whispers screaming in protest as Kairo's crimson aura flared to its peak. The power of the Gravekeeper surged into him — magic of bones, the command of souls, the authority over death itself. And yet, the Seal of Armageddon remained his to wield, untarnished.

Kairo stood over the lifeless form, chains rattling around him like serpents at attention. "I take back my soul… and claim your power," he murmured. "No one rules me. Not even death."

The chamber shivered. Gravestones cracked. Shadows writhed in acknowledgment, bending to the will of the Red-Eyed One.

Beyond, Hell burned in chaos. Igron and Veyrith continued their monumental clash, but Kairo moved forward, Bone Blade thrumming, chains coiling — unstoppable, untouchable, and infinitely more terrifying than any force around him.

The path to Hades lay open, and Kairo's aura blazed, crimson and absolute. The Red-Eyed One had claimed everything — even the dead themselves bowed to his will.
