Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: The Inferno Walks

The bandits rushed him like jackals sensing weakness — but their laughter died the moment his flames flared bright.

The first swung a blade. The man caught it barehanded, fire surging from his palm. The steel bent, glowing red before snapping in two. He drove his fist into the bandit's chest — a single blow, bones shattered, the man crumpled in silence.

The second screamed, lunging with a spear. A sweep of fire curled like a whip, burning the weapon to ash before his heel met the bandit's jaw. Neck snapped. Silence again.

"Impossible…" the leader muttered, stepping back.

But the man's expression never changed. His breathing was calm, his eyes steady, his movements precise. Each step he took forward made the children behind him cling tighter to one another — not from fear, but awe.

Another bandit tried to run. Fire streaked across the sand, cutting his path off. The man's voice was low, cold.

"No one leaves."

And one by one, they fell. Burnt. Broken. Silenced. Until only the leader remained, trembling with sword in hand.

The man's flames shrank, drawn tight around his fists, his aura now calm, focused.

"This is the price of laying hands on children."

His strike was swift — a final flare of fire, and the leader was gone, body reduced to ash.

Silence hung heavy. The children's eyes were wide, one of them trembling, tears streaming down their cheeks.

The man turned back slowly. His fire died down, his figure shadowed by moonlight. He knelt, placing a warm hand on the sobbing child's head.

"It's over," he said softly, his tone gentle. "You're safe now."

The children huddled closer, still shaking, but clinging to his words.

Behind them, Kairo's crimson eyes glowed faintly in the dark, unreadable. Igron's lips curled faintly — an approving smirk.

The desert had witnessed death, but for the children… they had witnessed salvation.
