Chapter 1 - prologue - Last Minute Addition

There was a man floating in the void of the sandbox universe. Grotesque lumps grew all over his body, shifting from head to toe and morphing into various organic body parts. Within his vicinity, there was a grand cosmic battle happening between an army of various races wielding transcendent powers and a cosmic enitity of astronomical size. Various auras collided together and shockwaves could be felt from every impact.

Despite the chaotic environment, this man was meditating. His monstrous skin seemed to repel the residual shockwaves from the battle. Deep in his thoughts, there was both excitement and anxiety.

"Now this is quite tricky. To think my plans would be used like this."

Behind the army fighting the cosmic entity, there was their home, Sumatra. It was the continent in the sandbox universe, that they all transcended from. The man was also a native who held the most unique status. He was Torq, the blessed clansman and the first to transcend in the current era of mortals. Like his other fellow transcendents, they left behind inheritances for future generations - some with the hope of increasing the number of transcendents within the same faction.

On Sumatra, Torq had the Ravaged Federation which held many of his achievements. His most significant achievement being the major treasure, Pet. However, there was now an issue. Despite the Ravaged Federation being incredibly isolated on Sumatra, there was someone that managed to pull it and other mortal factions into an insane scheme.

The latest mystic empyrean tentacle, Rendulu, had messed around with the plans of other transcendents. The inheritances left behind on Sumatra were pulled into a grand scheme - all to benefit the descendants of his guardian, the mammoth clan. It was called Sumatra Chronicles and the problem was that it revealed the location of his hidden base, the Ravaged Federation.

This was an important asset for him as it was his foundation on Sumatra. Unlike other transcendents, he could restart his cultivation journey through his special status as the sole blessed clansman. This perk allowed him to experiment and develop plans to become a stronger transcendent.

Now, it was under threat. The scheme was written like a story and it foretold the destruction of the ravaged federation. Although, from what he read, the contingencies left behind managed to prevent the core of his base from being destroyed. Still, those are losses he would rather not have.

Luckily, this scheme had an exploitable flaw. It showed an incomplete reality of Sumatra. Through this flaw, Torq planned to hijack Rendulu's scheme and advance the ravaged federation much more than he previously expected.

The first step to do this is to utilise his special connection with Pet. Through this major treasure, Torq could interact with mortals on Sumatra as it shared his consciousness. By using the functions of treasures, he was going to fuse with multiple individuals and influence them to act in a certain direction. Although there was a limit to what he could influence, these small pieces will create a great wave of change.
