The room was silent for a heartbeat, as if the very air had frozen in reverence to the Goddess. Then chaos resumed, just with a slightly more stunned tone. Adrian's jaw had nearly reached the floor. He blinked at me, then at Zavier, then back at the Goddess.
"Wait… wait. You're telling me…" His voice trailed off, lost in disbelief. "Oh god."
Xavier's usually composed, calculating dark eyes were actually spinning. He pinched the bridge of his nose.
"How… how did we not know?!"He asked.
Charlie, of course, was completely unbothered by the magnitude of everything.
"Big brother, that's… that's incredible!" He bounced, hands clasped. "I mean, wow! A pup! Isn't that… wow!"
I groaned, hiding my face in Zavier's chest again. My wolf whimpered, pressing against me, clearly agreeing with my mental plea to just disappear. Selene, after a shocked pause, smirked faintly. A dangerous, amused glint in her eyes.
