Chapter 13 - Shock

Night had already fell as the duo made it back to the village causing the town to look eerily forgotten

Even more weird as they had to be at least some night- time life.

They moved through the village with caution as if sensing for traps. Only when they reached the center did they loosen up with a sigh of relief.

A large villa painted with coats of black and white took up the vast space.

They entered with caution as they seemingly double checked for any signs of life through the windows.

Seeing nothing, they rushed in with hushed panic.

"Care to explain where you two have been all day?".

A silky voice broke through the heavy silence like a knife causing Luke to start.

Luck's brain rang like a church bell as fear crept into his spine.

"Run"

Alas, it was too late.

*Snap*

A white silken thread passed by Luck's cheek as he made his way towards the exit that was already sealed before he could even blink.

"We're still waiting for an explanation ". A gruff voice sounded as flame was lit , casting the face of the lighter in an eerie glow.

"Fine "Luck muttered begrudgingly. He essentially had no choice. He didn't want to end up like...

"Mmmmnmnmmmn!"

Luck glanced at his brother who hung in the air, wrapped like a Christmas present

His eyes pleaded with Luck's heart.

The flames went out all of a sudden as it was abruptly replaced by lights that illuminated the entire room.

"We're waiting " Dan; the twin's father said flatly as he blew out a piece of green hair that blocked his black eyes.

"And be quick about it "Their mother;Vera quipped as a cold gaze flashed through her golden eyes.

Luck let out an exasperated sigh as he began recount everything that happened today.

By the time he was done, Dan and Vera's mouths hung wide open .

"Your pulling our legs, aren't you?" Dan asked incredulously.

"If your lying..."She didn't bother to continue as threads began to materialize behind her.

Luck sighed as he glanced at his brother. "Not even pulling the cuffs of your pants "

Their soul books immediately appeared in front of them as they began to float towards their parents.

But of course, they weren't surprised. They had already sensed that the dog's almost non-exsistent mana had risen considerably.

Although they were not surprised that their children had already awakened, they couldn't expect that...

""Why are both your classes special classes?!""

"..."

The twins didn't respond as they honestly did not have anything to say.

It was understandable though. Classes basically defined what you're meant to be. They were the specialization which were bestowed upon mortals on how their energy would be used.

A person that was given a Swordsman class couldn't be a an Archer. They certainly couldn't become a mage.

It would make no sense that something so distinct as that would still be divided right?

Unfortunately it was.

The first were normal specializations. They were seen everywhere as they were the most common. Classes such as fire mage, Swordsman, , Brawler, Healer, were considered common classes.

Special/Rare classes were the next. Necromancers, Summoners, Technomages, Empath, were considered as part of these branch. Their quality was considerably higher than normal classes and advancing them was equally harder than those of the common description.

The last were Unique classes. Not much was known about them as they were even rarer than Special classes. Not only that could never be recorded.

Each Unique class was specially tailored for each candidate that carried it making it impossible for it to be used as data as they could only be one that held it.

Their quality was astronomical depending on how the host interprets and applies it.

Although their advancement requirements were equally complex and tasking.

Which was why all of them looked at each other like fools.

"What is this Phantom Warrior class?"Dan said suddenly as he gazed in confusion at Luck.

Cold sweat broke over Luck's back. "I thought you would know about it dad!"

Luck's panic/excitement was understandable. If his parents didn't know of any such class that meant...

"It's a Unique " Vera muttered, shocked at the words that came out of her own mouth.
