Information poured into his head as the messages played in his head. Luckily, his intelligence was by far his highest stat, which allowed his brain to process all of it without any complications.
In a matter of minutes, Luck was grinning from ear-to-ear. This physique of his seemed to be very beneficial for him, even with all these risk-to-reward quests that it gave him.
He was already ahead of his peers in the village in terms of raw talent. Now the gap was even wider.
His summons was next on his itinerary. If he were getting stronger, he could improve them as well. They were extremely beneficial to him after all.
Opening his Shadow Inventory as well as his spatial bag, Luck allowed the monster cores he had collected through the battle to fall onto the floor.
"Let's see, I've got 100 Rank F, 80 Rank D, and 5 Rank C cores."
He summoned both Asher and Freya. "Asher first."
[Asher has reached D-rank [Low-tier]!]
[Asher has learnt the skill [Soul Arrow(R)]!]
[Asher has learnt the skill [Whirlwind Slash(Av)]!]
(They get a new skill every time they increase in rank?) He shook his head almost immediately after that thought. If that were the case, then Asher would have three new skills instead of.
(Now you.) Luck thought as he looked at Freya and pumped in the remaining sixty rank F cores he had left.
*Ding*
[Freya has reached D rank [Low-tier]!]
[Freya has reached the stage to evolve. Comence Evolution?]
Luck raised an eyebrow at this message. He wasn't expecting this at all, as it seemed too early for this to occur.
Eitherway, it was a plus on his side.
"Yes," Luck answered without much hesitation.
He instantly began to feel his mana being rapidly depleted at a pace where his Mana Regen was barely able to keep up.
It reached the point where lethargy began to seep into his brain, causing his thoughts to become clouded for a moment.
(If I didn't have Mana Regen, I could have fallen unconscious from mana loss.) Luck thought as the air suddenly turned frigid.
It was a scary thought to have. Even if he fainted from mana depletion. The evolution process will still try to continue, meaning that Luck could have potentially died due to his jumping headfirst into the unknown territory of Necromancy.
(No wonder it asked me if I wanted to proceed first.) Fortunately for him, though, mana depletion might never be a problem as Mana Regen continued to grow.

[Your named creature has evolved into a Skeleton Grand Archer! Please choose a weapon for your undead creature!]
He scratched in confusion as he read the message in front of him. From what he knew, Freya had been using a longbow since he first summoned her. Now they were telling him he could change that.
1. Longbow
2. Compound bow
3. Recurve bow
4. Crossbow
5. Mongolian bow
6. Flatbow
The variety in choices was making him dizzy. He wasn't a bowman, so he wouldn't understand the pros and cons of the bows and decide which one was best for his undead archer.
(Maybe she should be the one to decide this.) He thought as he summoned Freya.
Freya had gotten at least a foot taller since the last time he had summoned her. Her posture exuded a subtle grace that one would always identify as one that belonged to the bow.
In short, she seemed more refined than the last time he had summoned her.
"Oh. You already know what I called you out here for?" He voiced with slight surprise as he felt the thoughts she conveyed to him through the mind link.
"In that case..." Luck closed his eyes as he began to send out the various options into Freya's mind.
Minutes passed as the Grand Archer stared blankly into the air, occupied in figuring out which path she should take.
It was close to an hour before the undead finally sent back her reply.
Luck raised a brow in surprise (Interesting choice.)
*Ding*
[You have chosen option 4!]
Strapped across her back, a pristine white crossbow appeared on her.
She chattered her teeth, conveying to her master how excited she was about this new path she had decided to take.

Luck looked at Freya's status as he nodded his head in satisfaction. He glanced at his remaining sum of cores, pondering whether he should save it up, spend on his summons or on himself.
It took him seconds to make his decision as he transferred fifty of his E rank cores into his skill points.
*Ding*
[You have gained 450 skill points) Luck observed. Well, it made sense, since to him at least, skill points were maybe actually more valuable than stat points.
(Buy the remaining skills) Luck said internally without any hesitation.
Another flood of information was uploaded into his brain, although less than the previous one, which was still enough to leave him staring blankly for a few minutes.
*Ding*
[Skill tree will reset when the host reaches the next rank!]
Luck didn't pay much attention to the message as he began to walk outside to the yard, a grin slowly growing on his face.
It was time to check his new skills.
(Some of the skills seem easy enough.) Luck thought as he conjured a Skeleton Bomb and a Shadow sphere in his hands.
Although he never used the skill before, with the way it was downloaded by his brain, it was as easy as breathing.
The Skeleton Bomb was a pristine white, lumpy, spherical mass of bones. Its outer shell was covered heavily with weird protrusions.
The Shadow Sphere, on the other hand, was as smooth as can be, with no abnormality whatsoever. However, its black coat exuded an aura that seemed to slightly obscure the senses.
The two seemed to wholly contradict each other.
He threw the Sphere at the dummy.
Immediately, blackish smoke erupted from it, covering the figure of the training dummy entirely.
(A smokescreen skill, but more advanced) Luck thought seeing that the smoke only covered the body of the dummy.
(Also, the spell not only blocks sight, but partially all other senses as well.)
This knowledge of his spells was really handy as they told him of the skill's current capabilities.
"Bombs away, I guess." Luck muttered as he threw the Skeleton Bomb next.
It did exactly what its name implied. Exploded.
*Boom*
Luck watched drily as the shrapnel of the exploding spell bounced off the body of the dummy.
Luck wasn't really surprised. His parents also used the dummies as practice, which meant that he would have to be at least Saint rank to damage that thing.
Then again, it was self-healing as well.
With that, Luck moved on to the next.
