"What happened? The last thing he remembered was falling, then pitch black. Logan was floating in an empty void, akin to space. The air, was thick and cold, straining each breath as though the darkness itself resisted him
"It's... chilly," mumbling, still disoriented, trying to orient himself in the weightless dark.
Then he sees it.
A single eye. Massive and motionless, fixated. Its pupil, impossibly darker than the surrounding void, delivering a shiver down his spine...
In a single instant, a sharp, piercing ring can be heard, quickly turning into mumbling and somehow, Logan somehow began to understand.
It had started to speak to him.
"You're awake" the eye projected. "You must have a lot of questions. You are in the land of between, where the dead linger."
