Chapter 4 - Flames, Flute, and Fateful Encounters

But her power level was far beyond theirs, and with sheer force she quickly stabilized herself.

She sneered, voice laced with arrogance:

"Pathetic. You are nothing but children still drinking milk before me…"

With a furious cry, she unleashed a wave of blinding light. The blast struck them all, hurling bodies across the ground. Blood spilled from their lips as pain ripped through their chests, internal injuries tore through their bodies.

Agnira staggered to her feet, her cap torn away. Her colorful hair, streaked in wild hues, burst free—each strand glowing as if kissed by fire. Her's blue eyes glowing with an unholy brilliance.

Wiping the blood from her lips, she hissed, voice dripping with menace, "When you can't win the game, you'd better break it…"

Her tone was like that of a demon risen from the abyss. The spark in her blue eyes seemed to command even the flames of the fallen torches around them, bending them to her will. The curve of her smile revealed the truth—once again, she had lost all control.

Inara's wide eyes froze on her. "WHAT IS SHE DOING ?"

Shaurya's claws trembled midair."No… this can't be…. She's commanding the FIRE."

Dove's expression twisted, her mocking grin faltering for the first time. She whispered sharply, almost to herself:

"Impossible… that spark… that control… Could she be—of the Agniyata royal bloodline? A true Firebearer?".....

With a low growl, she raised both arms. The flames quivered, then surged higher, twisting around her like obedient serpents.

Clenching her fist with a fierce scream, she unleashed them—erupting in a blinding, earth-shaking explosion.

All of them had collapsed into unconsciousness, their battered bodies strewn across the battlefield.....

Agnira alone remained—half-conscious, half-lost in her fury. Her shimmering blue eyes shifted down toward her belt. With trembling, bloodied hands, she slowly reached for it and drew out the flute who is given by her tribe mother.

Closing her eyes, she lifted it to her lips.

'I need to be control myself ',with her half conscious thought, she start palying the flute ..

A soft, haunting melody spilled into the air as she stepped forward, each note carrying both her strength and her sorrow. The flames that had once raged around her now seemed to sway gently with the rhythm........

Moments later, Inara and Shaurya slowly slowly get thier conscoiusness.

Shaurya frowned faintly, his mind restless. "How did we end up here…?"

As Shaurya's eyes slowly fluttered open, the sharp ache in his body reminded him of the fight he had just survived.

His gaze lifted, and there she was—Agnira. Perched high on a tree branch, her silhouette framed against the pale moonlight, flute pressed softly to her lips. The sound drifted through the jungle, calm yet powerful, like it carried a secret only she knew.

As he observed Agnira he remembered.

The flames she commanded, the colors blazing through her hair, were unlike anything he had ever seen.

'This isn't normal... I've never seen a Soulbeast eyes like this —no, they don't belong to a Soulbeast at all. She look… like an Agniyata.'

His gaze sharpened, doubt weaving through his mind.

' Could she be tied to the royal bloodline? Among all Agniyatas, only the royal heirs are born with the power to bend fire at will. '

'And that flute… it dulled the pain of wounds as though it carried a skill-soul of its own.'

The questions multiplied, heavy and restless.

'Is she truly one of them? Or perhaps a Swarjan? Maybe even a Bharvi or Agniyata fusion species or a spy?'

Seeing her like this ,Inara whispered softly, awe touching her voice, "You truly play beautifully… your music feel like magic."

Agnira stop playing flute she opend her eyes and look down to them , her eyes now normal and bandaged wounds properly treated.

Seeing them stir, she pull out her magical pouch and tossed a few dried herbs toward them.

"Rub these on. It'll ease the pain," she said casually.

Shaurya looked up at her. "You didn't leave… You could've just abandoned us."

Agnira smirked."Don't flatter yourselves. I stayed to collect my price."

Inara rose to her feet, eyes fixed on her.

"Do you possess special spiritual powers? I've never seen a Skill Soul like this before. Are you some kind of fusion between Soul Beast and Skill Soul ?"

Agnira leapt forward, landing directly in front of Inara, her gaze sharp and unyielding.

"If you value your life, then forget everything you saw here. We never met. You never saw me."

Turning her head toward Shaurya, she added coldly,

"You've already sensed the extent of my powers. And one more thing—if anyone learns that a royal prince and a clan princess were freed by someone else, it won't stain my name… it will destroy your reputation."

Agnira cast a glance at the herbs, then spoke coolly,

"These herbs are rare. Consider yourselves lucky to have them… and don't ever cross me again."

Agnira pushed off the ground, leaping swiftly from branch to branch. But just as she moved to disappear, Shaurya's voice rang out from behind—

"You said you wanted a price. Don't you want it now?"

She glanced back over her shoulder.

"The price will be paid… in time," she said, her eyes glinting.

Inara whispered softly, almost desperately,

"At least… tell me your name before you leave. … I swear, I won't breathe a word to anyone. "

"Foolish girl…" Agnira muttered with a faint smile, before vanishing without looking back, leaping swiftly from branch to branch into the cover of the trees.

Inara watched Agnira vanish into the woods, a spark in her eyes.

"Woah… what a cool girl,"

"I'm already a fan of her ," Inara breathed, eyes wide. "With a single strike, she defeated them all…"

Shaurya cut in coldly, "Don't forget—we were wounded by that power as well."

Inara's tone sharpened, dripping with accusation. "Ungrateful as always… all cats are the same."

Shaurya scoffed, disdain curling his lips. His ears twitched as his claws slid out, swiping close to her face without touching, a cold smirk playing across his features. "I am no cat. I am a white lion."

Without blinking Inara's violet eyes gleamed, amusement sparking within them.

"And yet, lions still belong to the cat family. So be a wise cat for once, and use these herbs. They're extraordinary—already closing my wounds."

They both stood up slowly, beginning to apply the herbs Agnira had thrown. Inara winced a little.

"You're a Royal Prince…"she muttered, inspecting him like she was seeing him properly for the first time.

Shaurya smirked. "Hmm. Finally convinced?"

"So that makes you a prince," she said, raising a brow.

"A rude one," she added quickly, "with zero manners."

He tilted his head toward her, amused. "And you're a nosy peacock with a loud mouth… but not a bad fighter."

Inara crossed her arms."You really need to work on how to talk to people."

"And you need to work on using your brain instead of just your mouth," he shot back, lips twitching into a playful smile.

A beat passed.

She rolled her eyes. "Ugh, you're impossible."

Shaurya stepped forward, voice softer. "And you're trouble."

They locked eyes for a second—just long enough for silence to say what words didn't.

Then he turned away.

"Come on," he said, extend his hand towards her. "Let's get out of here before another assassin shows up just to hear us flirt."

Inara blushed. "Flirt?! In your dreams, White Lion."

She spread her wings wide and soared away into the night sky. Watching her leave, Shaurya smiled to himself.

"An adventurous night with killer ladies... So be it." He chuckled. "Prince Shaurya—looks like the Lady Killer has finally met his killer."

And with that, he dashed forward at lightning speed, cutting through the dense jungle like a blazing storm.

Agnira returned to the inn quietly and slipped into her room. The Tribe Mother saw her enter but said nothing, her gaze unreadable.
