"Hey, Xan!" A large man, known as Alpha Eric, called out to the woman who made me her slave for life. "I'll pay you for that one," he called out from a distance, dragging a young woman also bleeding from her collarbone.
"With what money?" she chuckled back.
'Xan? What kind of name is that,' I thought, never thinking that I would ever find people with stranger names than Lumin and Nebra.
"My name is Alexandra," she informed me, responding to my thoughts.
"Nice," I responded due to lack of a better word. "So do I call you Xan or Alexandra?" I questioned, still trailing after her. What I was really doing was trying to distract her from Alpha Eric. Everyone knows his pack consisted mainly of Hybrids, and Hybrids can't feed on fellow Lycans. They needed wolfless.
"Master," she said flatly.
"I will give you a Hybrid for security," Alpha Eric chuckled.
"Thanks, but no thanks," she declined.
I sighed with relief.
"You know where to find me when you change your mind, sweet cheeks," Alpha Eric teased. I watched as he looked around.
"Hey, slave. Where is your sister?" Alpha Eric shouted at me.
"The name is Lumin," I retorted.
"You are a slave from this day forward," Xan reminded me. Her words hit me hard.
"How old is your sister?" Xan questioned before my mind could wander off to an escape plan.
"Twenty-Five," I answered, wondering what it meant to her. Everyone knew you could only claim one slave per red moon.
"Too bad. I would have come back for her next year," she told me as if it were a promise.
I looked around at all the Alphas dragging fighting women behind them. I don't see Nebra.
"Do you want me to chain you like a dog, or are you going to keep up?" Xan scolded me, urging me to keep walking.
"Can we please just wait until it is over?" I pleaded with her.
"Why?" She questioned me, facing me head on. "It is not like you are ever going to see your sister again. Best you accept that now," she added coldly.
'What a bitch,' came to my mind.
Unexpectedly, she jabbed me in the gut. It came as a surprise, caught me off guard. I struggle for air. The second time that day, she knocked the wind out of me.
I barely got my breath back when I felt the cold snap of the human collar.
"It really is not needed," I choked out.
She wrapped her hand around the metal collar and pulled me down to her level. Eye to eye. For a moment, I thought she was going to kiss me, but no such luck.
In a low whisper, she put me in my place. "Remember, I am in your head. If I just get a feeling that you are trying to make a run for it, I will use this."
She was referring to the metal collar around my neck. She could electricude me with it. I wanted to lash back at her. I wanted to ask her what people would think if they were to find out she was fated to me, but I bit my tongue. Too late though because my rebilious thoughts was enough of a reason for her to use the fking collar. The electricity bolted through my neck, burning my skin. The smell was as bad as the sting. At least now I know what human flesh smells like when it is burnt.
"I will kill you," she whispered, a stern warning again.
I looked at her with eyes filled with hate, and it was almost as if my hating had a bad effect on her. I swear I could see her flinch at my resentment.
By the time we got to her pickup truck, she had more than a handful of offers for me. Would I have been better off with another pack? What the hell does a Luna want with a male slave if not to satisfy their needs?
I was about to get into the passenger seat when she stopped me. "On the back with you, slave." It was as if she were making a point of it to put me in my place.
I hopped onto the back. Obeying hopefully meant she wont use the bloody collar around my neck again.
The last time I was in a moving vehicle was the day my sister and I got dropped at the Wolfless area. The drive felt like forever. I vomited twice. She didn't give a shit.
I started to hate her more and more by the second. When we finally got to her pack territory, I was white in the face. I never felt so sick in my life. I was sick with worry for my sister Nebra as well, but I tried my best not to think about her for now, out of fear for the jail around my neck.
"Come," she ordered me to follow her. I needed a moment to find my bearings after that ride but no such luck.
The impatient look she gave me made me move. Instead of jumping of the truck, I slowly got off.
"That's better," I said under my breath when my feet touched the ground.
All eyes were on me. Females standing around. Some were licking their lips. I would say their eyes were undressing me, but I was already shirtless.
I looked around. Taking in my surroundings.
"Don't even think about it," Xan warns me.
"Think about what?" I retorted.
"Escaping," she said flatly.
I walk a step behind her. "I was checking for other slaves," I dared to correct her.
"You are the first," Xan chuckled.
"Why?" I wondered out loud.
"Didn't they teach you anything at the Wolfless Area?" Xan questioned the irritation clear in her voice.
"I take it you would prefer me to shut up and not think either," I dared again. I really need to stop doing that.
"That will be great," she admitted.
"You four," Xan pointed at a few females who looked like they had never seen a man before. "Give him a good scrub and then bring him to my place."
"And no funny business. If I found out anything sexual happened, I will exile all of you," she added with a stern warning.
I was not sure if I was relieved or not. At least I knew then I was not there to tend to their sexual needs.
Xan chuckled at my thought, and that made me worried. I tried not to speculate what's gonna happen next. What was the use?
"I am Aria," a beautiful young woman introduced herself. Actually, all of them were beautiful.
"River," the next stated.
"Selene. Welcome to the pack," she introduced herself with a small smile.
"Lupa," the fourth woman stated.
"Lumin," I said and followed them into a cabin. Their cabins were modern from the outside. The interior was also modern.
"The Lumin?" Lupa asked as if she had heard some great story about me. "Sucks to be you."
"Tell me about it. Today was supposed to be the day I get my freedom," I added. I tried not to sound too sad, but it was obviously clear in my voice.
Unexpectedly, River wrapped her arms around me. "Everything is going to be ok."
"How do you know that?" Selene questioned.
"I agree. Don't give him false hope," Lupa added. "Take off your clothing and stand in the shower so we can scrub you."
"I know how to shower," I told them, hoping that they would leave the bathroom.
Aria stood with her arms folded. Waiting.
"Some privacy, please," I tried not to sound pleading.
"Fine," Lupa said and pulled the other women out of the bathroom.
I got into the shower. Generally, I am strong. I never cried in my life, but that day I started to cry. The word 'crying' is an understatement. I sobbed. I truly could not believe that after all those years escaping Alpha's I got captured by a Luna. Worst of all, I didn't know if my sister got captured or got her freedom.
