Chapter 62 - Chapter 65: Seele Thinks Brother-in-law Would Be Better as Sister's Husband!

In the St. Freya dormitory.

The girl, her personality switched back to White Seele, took out a copy of "The Little Mermaid" from the bookshelf and gently opened it.

Inside this well-known fairy tale book was a handmade bookmark. On the small paper surface was drawn a man resembling Haru, with two butterflies dancing around him.

"I never thought I'd find the Captain this way..."

Seele gazed at the bookmark she'd made to ease her longing, her deep sea-like beautiful eyes welling up with tears as she showed a smile of tears of joy.

She harbored a secret that even Sister Bronya didn't know.

The girl not only had a dual personality but also possessed memories of her past life - or rather, she had been reborn due to some accident she still hadn't figured out.

"In my past life, I only remember that after the Captain was defeated by the Herrscher of Finality, he used his last bit of strength to send me into the Quantum Sea, hoping I could escape the Cocoon of Finality's purge. But when I regained consciousness, I found the world had completely changed."

The world that should have been destroyed by Finality had suddenly become incredibly peaceful, with no Honkai beasts and no Herrschers.

She was still a child from Cocolia's orphanage, with Sister Bronya, Rozaliya, Liliya and other companions who'd been together since childhood by her side. After entering St. Freya Academy, she also met Kiana, Mei and the others.

Seele had thought things would develop step by step and she'd soon meet the Captain again... but that didn't happen.

She encountered one familiar figure after another, but among all those figures, the only one missing was the Captain who had rescued her from the Quantum Sea, who had promised to be with her forever!

In the agonizing wait, Seele also began her journey to find the Captain.

She visited every place where she and the Captain had created beautiful memories, repeatedly inquiring at locations where the Captain might appear, trying to find news of him.

But the Captain seemed like her imagination...

No matter how hard she tried, Seele couldn't find any trace of the Captain's existence in reality.

Time flew by rapidly. She gradually went from disappointment to despair, from sadness to numbness, but the girl's gentle yet stubborn personality made her persevere without giving up the search for the Captain.

Heaven rewards the diligent.

A miracle finally occurred after many years - the Captain appeared before the girl in a way she'd never anticipated.

"Heh, we searched for him for so long, and he actually became Bronya's subordinate."

Black Seele's personality emerged, curling her lips with an unfriendly tone: "This guy's charm is as consistent as ever. It's only been a few days and he's already got our dear sister singing his praises. If we'd found him any later, I can't imagine what would have happened."

"Don't say that, other me."

Seele placed a hand on her chest, comforting: "The Captain probably doesn't have memories of his past life. Otherwise, he would have tried to contact us after meeting Sister Bronya, or even come looking for us much earlier."

"I know that, of course. I'm just complaining casually."

Black Seele snorted softly without arguing.

That Captain guy still had integrity when it came to relationships.

Back then, almost all the Valkyries on Hyperion had feelings for him, but after dating the two of them, the Captain actively kept his distance from other Valkyries, looking completely devoted to pure love and fidelity.

Of course, with a little angel like Seele by his side, no one would have the heart to betray her and fool around outside!

Black Seele thought proudly, then her blood-red eyes flashed slightly.

"Seele, now that we've found the Captain, what do you plan to do next?"

"Well... go to Nagazora City first, then get reacquainted with the Captain?"

Seele tilted her head, saying somewhat uncertainly.

"That's it? Seele, don't blame me for being a wet blanket."

Black Seele wasn't as naive and pure as the surface personality, speaking gloomily:

"The Captain doesn't have past life memories. With his charm, he might have already gotten involved with other women. And even if the Captain is single, our dear sister seems to have feelings for him too."

"Bronya is cold to most men, but she's only known this Captain subordinate for a short while and they're already intimately taking photos together... Are you prepared to compete with your Sister Bronya for a man?"

Black Seele's words plunged White Seele into long silence.

The girl fidgeted with her fingers in distress, her azure beautiful eyes opening and closing intermittently, seemingly engaged in some fierce psychological struggle.

Finally, looking at the bookmark tucked in "The Little Mermaid," she pressed her lips together and said quietly:

"Sister Bronya has only known the Captain for a few days at most. She just has some favorable feelings for him. Seele making a move on the Captain now doesn't count as competing with Sister Bronya for a man."

"Moreover, Sister Bronya will inherit Anti-Entropy in the future, but the Captain in this world is just a lead artist at a game studio. Their status and positions are too different - they don't match... Sister Bronya deserves a better man. An ordinary Captain would be better off with Seele."

The Big Duck far away in Nagazora City probably never imagined that her usually considerate little sister not only had no intention of being a wingman this time, but actually thought brother-in-law would be better suited as sister's husband.

"Fine, let's say you've solved the Bronya problem."

Black Seele's beautiful eyes narrowed as she continued pressing: "But what if the Captain already has someone he likes in this life?"

"I... I..."

Seele bit her lip lightly, took a deep breath, and her pretty face showed a determined expression that seemed capable of punching through the Quantum Sea seven times.

"This life's Captain might not need Seele, but Seele wants the Captain by her side no matter what..."

"So even if this is an incredibly selfish decision, even if Seele becomes a bad child because of it, I'll use any means necessary to steal the Captain away from others!"

The girl's resolute words made the inner personality nod with satisfaction.

"That's exactly what you should do, Seele!"

Black Seele's voice was like a heart-bewitching demon, her smile charming yet maniacal.

"In our past life, the Captain promised to be with us forever. Even if he doesn't remember, as long as we remember, that promise should remain in effect."

"Whether the world is destroyed or spacetime is reversed, the man named Haru can only belong to you and me - can only belong to 'Seele'!"

Two personalities with completely opposite characters reached consensus in this moment.

In her past life, the girl hadn't been able to face Finality together with the Captain, and had washed her face with tears countless times after rebirth.

Now that she'd finally found the Captain, they would definitely grip him tightly and never let him leave again.

Even if the Captain might be unwilling...

Even if they had to chain the Captain up, lock him in a cage, and keep him by their side like a pet...

They would spare no effort!

In this life, even death wouldn't separate them from the Captain!!!
