What happens when someone is unconscious but can still stand and fight? That's exactly what's happening to Nova right now. An impossible sight, yet undeniably real.
So what's really happening with Nova? Why can he move normally while being unconscious, and is he truly unconscious?
The answer lies within himself. What happens when someone has two different sides to themselves - a calm side and a cruel side.
The Calm Side: The side that fights calmly, always thinking strategically before attacking. He considers every move carefully.
The Cruel Side: The side that fights with pure instinct, without feelings, without mercy. Anyone near him becomes a target.
And that's what's happening with Nova now. What the vampire is currently fighting is Nova's cruel side. Why did this happen? It's because his calm side has reached its limit, causing the calm side to be put to sleep, and now the cruel side is awake.
Actually, what makes Nova have two sides to himself? No one knows about this. It's extremely rare - no, it almost never happens in this world.
The most fundamental difference between these two sides lies in the physical limits of the body. Nova's calm side is still bound by pain and fatigue - when his body reaches its limit, he'll faint. But his cruel side? He will continue fighting using 100% of his body's potential, no matter how severe the wounds on his body are. Pain is just a signal that he ignores.
What's even more amazing is that Nova's calm side hasn't been able to use his perfectly strengthened body yet. Meanwhile, his cruel side immediately knows how to maximize the power of his enhanced body.
And now... Nova in cruel mode walks casually toward the vampire.
"You... Are you really the same person?" the vampire asks with disbelief.
Nova doesn't answer. Without warning, he attacks immediately with a speed different from before.
The vampire had anticipated the attack and quickly created a solid blood wall that usually could withstand physical attacks from ordinary humans.
CRASH!
Nova's single hand destroys the blood wall like wet paper.
"What?!" the vampire's eyes widen in disbelief.
Before the vampire can react, Nova's fist has already struck his face with far greater force than before. The vampire's body flies backward dozens of meters.
This time Nova doesn't walk casually. While the vampire's body is still floating in the air, Nova moves with one motion - it's an explosive movement technique that uses all the leg muscle power in one thrust.
In an instant, Nova is already above the still-flying vampire. His right hand swings downward like a sledgehammer.
BOOM!
The vampire crashes into the ground violently, creating a crater five meters in diameter.
The vampire rises slowly, his wounds beginning to heal again.
"You... Damn brat!"
In the sky above, blood clots begin to appear and take various shapes. Some resemble giant bears, wolves, even small dragons.
Dozens of these blood creatures rush Nova from all directions.
However, instead of dodging, Nova advances forward. His hands move with incredible speed for a 12-year-old child, destroying each blood creature before they can explode.
When one blood creature is about to explode near him, Nova has already destroyed its body first. His movements flow like water, jumping left and right.
*What the hell is this?* the vampire thinks in panic. *How can he become this strong in such a short time? What's really happening with this kid? It feels like I'm fighting a completely different person!*
Nova realizes that fighting the blood creatures is just wasting time. He quickly moves in a straight line toward the vampire.
*This kid... he knows who the real enemy is,* the vampire thinks. *Seems like I underestimated him too much.*
Just as Nova is about to reach him, suddenly both his hands and feet are bound by blood tentacles emerging from underground.
"Take this!"
It turns out the vampire had prepared a trap. He transformed his blood into liquid form and inserted it into the ground. The high-temperature blood burned the ground from within, creating space to place "blood balls" that function as traps.
The vampire swings his right hand, covered in explosive blood, toward Nova's face. When the blood touches Nova's face, it will explode.
But a second before that punch lands...
CRACK!
Nova's right leg manages to break free from the binding. He immediately kicks the vampire's hand, thwarting the attack.
Not only that, Nova doesn't lower his leg. Instead, he raises it high then slams it down.
BOOM!
That kick penetrates the ground, destroying the hidden blood ball below. A crater two meters deep forms from Nova's single kick.
With both hands and one leg freed, Nova is ready to launch a counterattack.
The vampire, realizing his main trap has failed, tries to retreat, but...
Nova is already behind him.
Nova's leg strikes the vampire's head. His head is buried deep into the ground until only his body is visible on the surface.
Nova looks down to check on the vampire. But as he observes carefully, the vampire's body begins to liquefy like water and seeps into the ground.
Suddenly from behind, a giant blood creature appears and hugs him tightly. But Nova has already reacted, quickly breaking free before the creature explodes.
BOOM!
The blood explosion creates a small crater where Nova was standing just seconds before.
Apparently the vampire transformed his body into liquid to enter the ground, then created an underground space as a base.
Nova now stands on top of a tall tree trunk, looking around.
From underground, the vampire peeks through small blood droplets on the surface. These small blood drops allow him to see Nova's movements from a distance.
*Damn! How do I defeat this kid? What are the limits of his body's capabilities? And why doesn't he look like he's in pain even though he's severely wounded like that? Can't he feel pain?*
