A week later, and I feel like a different being, everything's more heightened, more clearer. My physique has changed and I can feel it, I was fit before but not honed like this, i practically have six abs now. I can even hear the tiniest of sounds, my sense of smell have gotten sharper, I even controlled my boss at work once, but that made me feel like shit. I have being avoiding Justin and Shirley for the whole week now, at first they didn't notice but now Justin is giving me the stint eye. Am pretty sure a confrontation is coming soon.
After school, I found Justin and Shirley waiting for me outside.
"What do you think you are doing?', Justin asks
"Hi, and what do you mean? Pretending not to understand what he meant.
"Don't play dumb with with me, you have being avoiding me, us for like a week. Care to explain why?'
"Have been preoccupied with work and am not avoiding you, what gave you that idea?"
"Yeah, right you weren't" He said looking hurt, damn and am feeling like shit again.
This is the last thing I wanted to do but being emotional hurt is better than being dead. "Listen, I have a lot going on, things that I can't tell you so just give me time and I promise I will, okay?"
He stares me in the eye for a while, finally relenting
"fine, I will give you time". And he walks away.
I sighed, turning to Shirley as she looks at me and continue staring, I have the feeling she sees more than she lets on.
Finally, I asked "What do you want to say?'
"I don't have much to say"
Expecting her to continue, but she didn't. She's trying to make me feel guilty and it's working. Snapping, i said "Well.... Lets hear it'
"I don't intend to give you time, I will intrude on your personal space every minute"
I looked at her dumbstrucked, what is wrong with her, "well it's not up for debate" I said.
Turning away from her, she grabs my forearm and steps into my personal space. We are only a breath apart. Swallowing, i asked "What do you think you are...
She raised her head and kissed me, oh my god...my brain stopped functioning, mistake I mean all the blood left my brain and went to a particular anatomy that I do not even want to think about.
She takes a step back and said, "I like you and I know you don't trust me, cause you think it's too soon but I would like if you would...me and you could like...
"Could do what?" I asked, my mind already going through different scenarios
"Argh, you are very clueless, aren't you? she said, sighing.
"What I mean is, we should date"
I was dumbstruck the second time in minutes. I opened my mouth to answer then closed it, what do I even want to say.
"I don't think that's a very good idea, Shirley"
"Why isn't it a good idea?"
"Let's see, first You barely know me, two we just met not too long ago and i don't get why you want to date me, when there are countless other guys on campus"

Girls, don't get attracted to me. All my life, I have been invincible to the opposite gender.

"So, she asked you out?"
"Yes" I could see him rolling his eyes at the one syllabic answer
"And?, Did you accept?"
"I told her I will think it through"

He looks at me straight in the eye "you could put her in danger, Jared"

"If you know, then why are you contemplating it?"
"I like her, like I really like her. She's like the first girl that I like and likes me back"
"If you truly did, then her safety should be your concern"
"You really don't get it, do you?. Forget it, let's just drop it"
