Teleporting to Seth's island, where my daughter was kept. She was a beautiful child, funny she didn't take after either me or her mother. Smiling at her even though she couldn't see me nor recognize me. It was better this way after all. There won't be any messy goodbyes for both of us, I hope she finds it in her heart to forgive me when we meet in Duat, cause that's where we are going after all this.
I could have teleported to his throne room where he was obviously waiting for me but I opted to appear a few clicks away. I needed time to collect my thoughts after my visit to Renenutet, funny how things are going to end after all this time.
"You are late" Seth said as I made my way inside his throne room filled with his KHEPRI legions. A special kind of demon army whose main purpose is to create chaos.
I sauntered in like I owned the place, knowing it will piss him off. I hate to admit it but I get off by pissing the bastard off now adays.
"I got delayed" I replied, smiling at a demon who had the ignorance of mind to show his teeth at me. Fool, if he only knew how I could make his days a living hell if I chose to. Ignoring him, I stopped at the throne step.
"Jared just entered the temple alone, his companions are currently engaged in battle"
"Well, what are we waiting for?, I think it's time we also joined the party" he said.
"Very well, shall we?" I smiled knowing full well I may not be coming back alive.
THE ELEPHANTINE ISLAND
SHAI: goddess of fate
It's coming down the way she saw it, the death of the gods. The beginning of the end and there's no solution to it, even if there had once been. It all started with Ra and with only Ra's bloodline will it end. If only Ra had listened to her, but he had been fueled by his greed for power just as his son Seth is.
"What are you doing there Shai?, Did you see another vision?" Thoth asked, hugging me
"Yes, and this one is going to be the death of us all" I answered, drawing strength from his comfort.
"There's always a way, you know" he said confidently
"I don't see any, Thoth. What Seth is doing is going to unravel the thread of the universe, it will lead to ultimate destruction" doesn't he too see it, why is everybody so shortsighted about this, I wondered.
"Why do you think the other gods have been quiet about this?, Don't you think it's odd?" He asked me
"What don't I know, Thoth?" I asked
"You see, when you first told me and Ra your vision of his death and what will lead to it, the rest of the Ogdoad gave me permission to sift through time. What I saw was scary, the annihilation of everything not only the gods. But I also saw light, it was fickle then but not anymore"
"You mean there's another way?" I asked, hope beginning to form
"Yes, there is and our children are at the fore front of that hope"
"Rene and Mesk?" Wondering, what role they had to play in all of this.
"You see wife, you didn't check thoroughly. The moment you saw what Ra's decision caused, you stopped looking. My guess is someone very important died" he said looking at me
I looked away, because he was right. Someone important did die, someone I couldn't bear to lose.
"You worry too much, death comes and even the gods aren't above it. Let's go inside, nothing is going to change with you worrying about it" he said and dragged me indoors.
RENENUTET
This place brings back old memories, memories of the child I had been. This used to be the safest place to play in the Elephantine, the home of the Ogdoad. Walking into Isis's garden, feeling like a petulant child all over again. I shook myself, am no longer a child now. This place was the most beautiful place by far in all the Island.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit, son" the sultry voice asked, the owner of the voice is nowhere to be seen
"I came to ask a favor, mother" everyone, but the original 8 called her mother. Isis, the goddess of creation and motherhood, she was the most beautiful amongst them. It was said that she is still a virgin, but I don't believe that. But one thing I believe is her powers would rival any god's. It's only by her blood and Ptah's one can kill the gods without unraveling the fabric of the universe, she was also the one who created Taberah, Seth's demon pet.
"Why do you think I will help you, Rene?" Calling me Rene is just her way of making me feel like a child, one that am aware of. She still hasn't manifested herself, but she hasn't driven me away.
"I know full well that you are aware of what's happening right now, all of you are. But you let everything play out which is unlike you. Even knowing that Seth is going to come after all of you"
"We are aware and there's nothing we can do" she sighed
"Am giving you a chance to stop him, we all know at this rate, it's only Jared that's capable of doing that"
Finally she appeared and I realized that she wasn't alone, Ptah god of truth, Geb god of earth, Nut goddess of the sky, Ishtar goddess of love and sexuality, Onuris god of war, Sothis goddess of the star, Beet-roth goddess of fertility, Maahes protector god of Maat, the order of the world, Mafdet goddess of justice, Ihy god of music, son of Horus and my parents Thoth and Shai with Meshkenet, but I call her Mesk my twin sister.
"What are you doing here?" I directed the question to my parents.
"The same reason you are here, darling" it was my mother that spoke up. Thoth just nodded at me and smiled.
"Now that we are all here, let's get down to it" Isis announced
