I look at the expanse of taiga in front of me. I can see trees around me, animals like cows and sheep. However, I notice something about them all. All things around me are strangely cubical.
With the new memory in my head, I know what kind of world this is and why I am here.
That is the damned CYOA. It is the CYOA I play before I go to sleep to make Fanfic when I have free time.
And with the knowledge in my head, I know this is real. It is tech trees from multiple worlds. Fiction worlds. It is knowledge that can turn me into a being that can conquer a world without any help.
I have knowledge from the world of Xenoblade Chronicle X, Phantasy Star, Pokémon, Stellaris, Type Moon, Warhammer 40k (Imperium of Man), Warhammer 40k (Necrons), and Xenoblade Chronicles.
Yeah. I have received the knowledge that I can be considered an Omnissiah if I go to the Warhammer 40k world. The only downside? I am weak as fuck. The perks from the CYOA are great and will increase my chances of survival if I appear in the Warhammer world.
However, the powers… Well, it is not great.
They are powerful, don't get me wrong. However, they are support-based power. They can be used in a fight, but it is not used for that. |Inventory| is a power that grants me access to an infinite pocket dimension for me to store all kinds of items inside. Just like in the game, it is something that supports the player instead of being used in a fight. I can use it for a fight by switching all kinds of weapons in a second to catch the opponent off guard, but to win, it depends on me instead of the power.
|Multitasking| is another support power. It lets me multitask more than humans can. It can be used to analyze an opponent's movement, but once again, it depends on me to win.
|Sandbox Construction (Minecraft)| allows me to destroy materials up to a cubic meter in size, causing them to be reduced in weight and size as necessary, so that I can carry them around with ease. I can place these materials on whatever surface I choose, causing them to increase to their full size. While this enables me to obtain wood by punching a tree, I will need increasingly better tools to collect materials beyond that.
Basically? Give me the ability of a Minecraft protagonist even without the Minecraft universe. The only thing this power does not do is the crafting power of the Minecraft game. It lets me gather the material, but does not let me craft them into something else.
|Blackbox Lockbox| is a power that lets me blackbox my tech. Something being blackboxed means it cannot be fully deciphered or understood, even through examination or study, meaning it can't be duplicated or modified by anyone other than me. Toggling if something is blackboxed is always a set of simple modifications applied to the thing in question, and may be done to tech I did not create but understand enough to reproduce, as well. Once again, this power does not increase fighting power.
|Innovating| is the power that lets me gain new ideas each time I encounter something new. What does that mean? Well, if I encounter something that is not within my tech knowledge, it will give me an idea of how to make that thing, and even an idea of how to create a new thing based on the thing I encounter. It is weird, but this power is related to my tech. That means it does increase my power.
|Photon Arts (Phantasy Star)| is a power from the Phantasy Star game. It is the only thing that is focused on battle. It is magic in the Phantasy Star universe. It can do elemental attack, healing, power amplification, or buffing people. It is the power that lets me manipulate the Photon Particles. It is particles that appear in many universes, including this one, for some reason. I can feel the particles floating in the air, ready for me to use. I can use it to create a Crystallize Photon for energy sources. However, I will do that later.
|Natural Born Genius (Type Moon)| is another power that supports my knowledge-based things. It let me become an unparalleled genius like Da Vinci from the Type-Moon universe. It is simple but powerful in the long run.
|Supergenius| is a power that elevates the previous one into a new degree. It makes me into supergeniuses like Victor von Doom, Lex Luthor, Rick Sanchez, Stanford Pines, and Ivo Robotnik. That means I can revolutionize beyond my current knowledge of technology. In fact, my mind is already supplying me with ideas and things I can create using multiple tech trees from the CYOA.
|Gigastructural Engineering & More (Stellaris mod)|. As for this one… It is not a power but rather an upgrade to my Stellaris Tech knowledge. It gives me a tech tree that lets me build a gigastructure. Move a planet? Sure. Create an artificial planet? Of course. Planetary computing? Here you go. FTL through the use of Blackhole? There are a couple of those. Yeah. This one would be very powerful if you gave me enough time and manpower to complete it.
There are also powers that let me gather materials. The first one is called |Direct Acquisition|, which lets me go to another world I want. I can put it on at random if I want to see something new, but it can also let me go to another world I want. It cannot be specific, like an AU version of Mass Effect, where humanity has the technology of Warhammer 40k or something along those lines. I can choose the Alternate Universe world, but it cannot be too different from the Main Worldline.
The second one is called |[Resource] Bar|, which lets me convert any resource I have into [Resource], a special substance that can function as any material in sufficient quantities. I can freely convert [Resource] into any material; however, the more difficult to acquire the material, the more [Resource] it costs (and the more it would give if converted). Additionally, [Resource] conversions operate at half efficiency overall, requiring twice as much material converted into [Resource] to produce an equal amount through conversion. All [Resource] is stored in hyperdimensional storage within yourself, which has no limit to how much you can have on hand at a time.
The last one is a weakness, but not really. In this Minecraft world where resources are abundant, the weakness does not really affect me.
Anyway, those are my powers, and the only thing that lets me defend myself is the Photon Arts; it does not directly upgrade my body to be more durable, and so on.
Lucky for me, I did not choose that forsaken world and instead went to the Minecraft world as my first world. This place is a heaven for a person like me who needs a lot of raw material.
I don't know who sent me here, but I call it ROB, and I will kiss whoever they are. My previous life was not good. It is a monotone life, full of hardship. The manager is a bitch and entitled because her daddy is the owner of the company. A coworker loves to gossip and spread harsh rumors if you say something he doesn't like—neighbors who love to party at night and cause quite a ruckus. The landlord ignores all the complaints because most of them are caused by his son, who is the annoying neighbor.
Is it bad? Not really. There are more people who suffer worse than what I experience. However, I want to get out of that life, which is a thousand times better.
And for that, I am thankful. If there is something I can do, I will do that. I will still prioritize my life, but I will help whoever is sending me here if they require my help.
For now, I need to create a good foundation, and I need to start that by punching trees.
