Chapter 20 - Chapter 19 – The Dada Mama Idiot Era

The Dawn of Torment

The morning sun rose lazily, golden light spilling across the swamp's edge. Birds chirped. Mist curled over the ground.

And in the middle of this idyllic scenery, a broken man whimpered:

"…please, just… stop biting…"

Ahmed's face was hollow with exhaustion, eyes bloodshot, lips trembling. Nana clung to his back like a barnacle, tiny fingers tugging at his hair, her little teeth poised for another ambush.

She pointed at him, her glowing eyes bright with glee.

"…Idiot!"

CHOMP.

"AAAGH!" Ahmed flailed, shaking his hand free from her bite. "That's it! That's it, I've had enough! You—!"

"Idiot!" she repeated cheerfully, bouncing on his shoulders like a tiny conqueror riding her warhorse.

Ahmed's voice cracked. "STOP CALLING ME THAT! I'M YOUR DADA! SAY IT! D-A-D-A!"

Nana's smile widened, full of mischief. She leaned forward, nose nearly touching his.

"…Mama Idiot."

The camp exploded into chaos.

Whorina tumbled through the air, clutching her sides, her laughter echoing like bells of doom. "Oh, honey, she's perfect! Mama Ahmed, this is the title you were destined for!"

Tsu-Nan, standing cross-legged on a floating plank of wood, stroked his beard with deep solemnity. "She possesses a fierce spirit. To declare her progenitor an idiot without hesitation… such boldness is rare in one so young. Truly, she is a prodigy."

Liuyue set her scroll down with a sigh, adjusting her ink brush. "Observation: Ahmed demonstrates catastrophic parental incompetence. Prognosis: unfit for child-rearing. Likely to perish from bite-related blood loss within a fortnight."

Ahmed threw his arms up, his voice shrill. "WHY IS NO ONE ON MY SIDE?!"

Nana leaned down, bit his ear, and whispered sweetly, "Mama Idiot."

Naming the Brat

By noon, Ahmed had reached the inevitable breaking point.

Dragging himself through mud, half-buried under vines, clothes shredded like battlefield banners, he turned to the child on his shoulders and roared:

"THAT'S IT. YOU'RE NANA! NANA, YOU HEAR ME? N-A-N-A! I'M NAMING YOU OUT OF PURE, BLOODY, BITTER FRUSTRATION!"

The child tilted her head, curious. "Nana?"

"Yes! Nana!" Ahmed jabbed a finger at her nose. "Now stop calling me Mama Idiot!"

Silence.

Nana blinked once, slowly.

Then her grin widened, sharper than before. She puffed her cheeks, raised her little hands, and bellowed with the force of ten drums:

"Dada Mama Idiot Nanaaaaa!"

Whorina collapsed midair, rolling through invisible clouds of laughter. "Oh, darling, you've named her! You've given her power! She'll never let this go now!"

Ahmed staggered, pale as chalk. "What have I done…"

Tsu-Nan gave a grave nod. "By naming her, you acknowledge her existence. This bond is eternal. Accept it, Ahmed. This is your path."

Liuyue scribbled in her notes. "Conclusion: subject has unintentionally sealed his fate. New hypothesis: perhaps the child's bite transfers spiritual imprint. Testing required."

"TEST YOURSELF!" Ahmed shrieked, yanking his arm away as Nana gnawed on his sleeve again.

The Traveling Nightmare

Their journey through the swamp was a hell no tongue could describe.

Every few steps, Ahmed's scream echoed through the mist.

"OW! STOP THAT! BAD NANA!"

"Idiot!" Bite.

"WHY ARE YOUR TEETH SHARPER THAN KNIVES?!"

"Idiot!" Bite.

"AAHHHH! SHE'S EATING MY SOUL!"

Whorina floated upside-down above them, narrating like a cursed bard. "And lo, the mighty Mama Ahmed marches onward, gnawed upon by his beloved daughter, carrying the banner of humiliation high!"

"SHUT UP!" Ahmed wailed, staggering under Nana's weight.

Nana, delighted by the chorus, began to sing in a high-pitched chant, her tiny fists pounding his head like drums.

"Dada Mama Idddoit!Dada Mama Idddoit!Bite-bite tasty Mama!Idddoit, idddoit, idddoit!"

Ahmed's soul visibly left his body. "Why… why was I born…"

Liuyue, walking behind with calm composure, studied the scene as though it were a rare insect pinned to glass. "Remarkable. She

combines physical assault with psychological conditioning. Efficiency unmatched."

Tsu-Nan's beard shimmered in the swamp's mist as he declared, "This is enlightenment through chaos. Ahmed, you should be proud."

"PROUD?!" Ahmed screeched, flailing as Nana bit his cheek. "SHE'S TURNING ME INTO CHEW TOY JERKY!"

The "Discipline" Attempt

At one point, Ahmed snapped. He grabbed Nana under the arms, holding her out in front of him like a misbehaving cat.

"LISTEN HERE, YOU MENACE!" he shouted, his voice trembling between rage and despair. "YOU WILL RESPECT YOUR DADA OR SO

HELP ME I—"

Nana's eyes widened. Her lips trembled.

And then—

"WAAAAAAAAHHHH!"

Her cry ripped through the swamp like the wail of a banshee. Birds scattered. The water churned. Frogs leapt into the mud in terror. The sheer volume made Ahmed stumble backward, clutching his ears.

"STOP STOP STOP! PLEASE! I'M SORRY!"

Nana's wails grew louder. Then, mid-cry, she leaned forward and—

CHOMP. Right on his nose.

"YAAAAAARGHHH!"

Whorina doubled over, shrieking with laughter. "Oh, Mama Ahmed, you've been disciplined! By your own child! This is the comedy of eternity!"

Ahmed dropped to his knees, tears and snot streaming down his face. "Why is this happening to me…"

Liuyue scribbled another note. "Experiment: attempted authority resulted in emotional backlash and intensified biting behavior. Conclusion: Subject Ahmed must accept subordinate role in hierarchy."

Ahmed glared at her through bloodshot eyes. "I'M LOWER THAN A SIX-YEAR-OLD PLANT DEMON?! THIS IS BULL—"

"Mama Idiot!" Nana shouted triumphantly, smacking his face with her tiny hand.

The Arrival

Hours later, the swamp grew darker, its mist thickening, the smell of damp earth clinging heavy in the air. Ahmed stumbled at the front of the group, face swollen from bites, eyes glazed. Nana rode his shoulders like a victorious general, humming her "Mama Idiot" song.

Tsu-Nan stopped suddenly, raising his hand.

Ahmed collapsed into the mud with a groan. "Oh, thank the heavens. Please tell me we're stopping because I'm about to die."

The old master's voice was grave, carrying through the swamp's stillness. "We have arrived."

Ahmed blinked blearily. "Arrived where? Hell? Because it feels like hell."

Tsu-Nan's eyes gleamed in the fog. He spread his arms wide.

"Here lies the next lesson. The Swamp of Spirit-Calming Mud. Only by submerging yourself in its depths can you cleanse your inner turmoil and attain serenity."

Ahmed's jaw dropped. "SUBMERGE? You want me to bathe in swamp mud?! Do you see what I'm carrying?! Do you know what she'll do if she gets mud in her mouth?!"

Nana clapped her hands, giggling. "Mud tasty Mama Idiot!"

Ahmed screamed into the swamp, voice cracking with despair.

Epilogue Cliffhanger :

The mist thickened, curling around their feet like grasping hands. The swamp gurgled, dark and alive, promising no peace.

Tsu-Nan's voice cut through the silence, solemn as fate. "Ahmed. This trial will either purify your spirit… or consume you whole."

Whorina whispered into his ear, her tone syrupy sweet. "Oh, honey. Mud baths and children. You're living the dream."

Liuyue dipped her brush into ink, ready to record history. "Observation: subject is about to perish. Hypothesis: worth studying."

And Ahmed—half-sinking in the muck, Nana gnawing happily on his ear, her song echoing across the swamp—knew the truth:

The frogs had been mercy. The wind had been kindness. The beast had been a gift.

This swamp would be his grave.

Unless… by some miracle, it wasn't.
