Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12:NOT A CRUSH, JUST PAYBACK

When we were done with the morning class, I saw Margaret standing at my door, waiting gidigidi. Haha, this lady.

"Let's go to the cafeteria, I'm hungry," she said.

"Ohhh, patience lady! I'm now going to put my book in my locker," I replied.

"Hmmm," she said, faking that face. That's Margaret for you.

She's light-skinned, has a chiseled nose, brown eyes, and black curly hair—so you can guess her attitude tho. Always complaining to her friends, haha.

In the cafeteria, we ordered our food, then dug in. We were eating, talking, and laughing when suddenly one of Margaret's friends—whom I still don't know her name—said,

"Well, well, I see someone is already crushing on our black beauty."

I almost spilled my water.

"Easy girl..." the brownie lady said.

I turned to where they were staring—only to see Mr. Unknown looking at me.

"But seriously, I think the guy is into you," Margaret said.

"No, he's not," I replied quickly.

"We're mostly in the same class, that's all."

"Mmmmmm," they laughed in chorus.

"You're too naive, Rachy," the brownie lady added. "This eye he's using is not class-partner eyeing!"

"Guys, I think I have to use the washroom," I said.

Their teasing made me uncomfortable, so I left. In the washroom, I poured water on my face, adjusted my dress, and decided to go straight to class. I was done eating—I wasn't going back for more teasing.

That Mr. Unknown… I'll deal with him.

Back in class, I noticed some students arriving, so I sat upright. I was already planning a little trick. I put some liquid on his desk—nothing obvious—then pretended to fall asleep so he wouldn't suspect me.

When he entered the room, I saw him but stayed "asleep," struggling to contain my laughter. Then—boom! He sat on it. Well, today be today. That's for making me look stupid earlier.

He tapped me, saying the lecturer was in. I thanked him and pretended like nothing had happened, focusing on the lesson.

After an hour, the class was over. I packed my things quickly, dropped them in my locker, locked it, and rushed to the bus station. I didn't want him to know I was behind it. Maybe tomorrow, I'll face him—but not today.

At the station, I waited for about 30 minutes before a bus finally came. I got in, alighted near my hostel, and walked the rest of the way.

On the way, I saw some students training their bodies out, haha, while others were chit-chatting with friends.

When I reached the hostel, I remembered the water issue from the morning. Well, let's see what my roommate can do about that.

As I opened the door, I heard noises from her room—so she was in. I went to my room and collapsed onto my bed to relax small.

I took some snacks, munched them while rolling on the bed, then later came out around 5 p.m. to sit on the sofa while my food was still on fire.

Thirty minutes later, it was ready. I ate, scrolled on my phone, and sang to myself.
