Chapter 57 - 57

"I thought you'd driven off with my car?"

Sitting in the taxi, Nick Fury looked at Colin in the driver's seat and joked.

"I picked up a passenger on the way and stopped to buy a few things, so I was a little delayed."

Colin casually explained to Nick, then turned the steering wheel and expertly drove the taxi towards the Dark Avengers Base on Fifth Avenue.

"It looks like you have quite a talent for being a taxi driver."

Hearing Colin's explanation, Nick glanced at the shopping bag on the passenger seat, then said, half-joking and half-serious.

"Interested in becoming a taxi driver with me? I can introduce you to the 'New York Taxi Workers Alliance'."

"I think I'll pass."

Driving the taxi past the car in front, Colin shook his head and politely refused Nick's 'enthusiastic' job offer: "I still prefer my original job. If possible, I'd rather find a similar job for cover."

Faced with Colin's refusal, Nick, who was sitting in the back, didn't get angry, merely saying with a touch of regret: "What a shame. I was originally planning for us to form a driver duo."

What about your ambitions, Nick Fury?

Colin glanced at Nick in the back seat through the rearview mirror, muttering a complaint to himself.

What happened to your S.H.I.E.L.D. Director demeanor?

...

Back at the Avengers Base, Colin resumed his usual monotonous yet busy life for the next few days.

While serializing the *Superman* comic in the Main World, he also learned various firearms and battlefield medical treatments through combat training from The Punisher.

If it weren't for the occasional Time Shards he obtained from Frank, Colin would have almost forgotten his current situation amidst this regular daily life. However, as the training sessions grew more frequent, he gradually discovered that obtaining Time Shards from Frank was becoming increasingly difficult.

From initial contact, to later gaining them through combat training.

Until the most recent time, Colin only obtained a Time Shard after engaging Frank in combat three or four times in a row.

This meant that if he wanted to obtain new Time Shards from The Punisher next time, he would have to create more opportunities for interaction.

As he pondered silently, Colin gazed at the newly acquired Time Shard (Frank Castle).

He saw that beneath the cracks like shattered glass, The Punisher Frank's figure faintly flickered within: clad in a military uniform, he looked spirited, holding two figures, one large and one small, both smiling.

Looking at Frank's gentle expression within the Time Shard, Colin found it extremely difficult to reconcile it with the ruthless and cold figure he had in mind.

...

"Here, this is your new identity."

The next day, Nick found Colin, holding a document with a name and social security number printed on it.

The series of social security numbers on the new document corresponded to a real, existing file at the Social Security Administration, containing all the necessary information from elementary school enrollment to entering society, including loans and driver's license details. For an ordinary person, forging a new identity was clearly no simple matter.

However, for Howard, this was an easy task.

In some ways, what Howard created wasn't a forgery, but a genuine identity.

Handing him the new identity document, Nick asked Colin what he thought about his new image.

The new identity prepared by the Dark Avengers naturally wasn't just a simple name.

It also included a new disguised appearance, encompassing height, weight, and skin color.

All of this would need to wait until Colin confirmed it, then Tony would forge and synthesize childhood-to-adult photos for the new identity and upload them to the file.

"Regarding this, perhaps it won't be so troublesome."

If it were before today...

Perhaps Colin would still need to spend time and effort cooperating with Nick Fury, using the Nanomask he had previously used to mold a new face for his new identity.

However, now, he could completely simplify this process.

As he spoke, Colin took out the glasses he had bought during his previous outing and put them on.

Immediately after, in the next second,

Under Nick Fury's gaze, Colin, wearing his glasses, seemed to have completely transformed.

He was clearly standing right in front of him, seeing him put on the glasses with his own eyes.

Yet, in Nick's perception, he subconsciously differentiated the Colin with glasses in front of him from the Colin in his memory.

"How did you do that?"

Frowning, and with great effort suppressing the contradictory feeling in his heart, Nick Fury looked at him with his one good eye and asked:

"A special disguise technique."

Facing Nick's question, Colin subtly curved the corner of his mouth, revealing a faint smile, then took off his glasses and explained with a laugh.

"I don't think a simple disguise technique can achieve that."

Looking at Colin without his glasses, the contradictory and unfamiliar feeling in Nick's heart immediately vanished.

His gaze swept back and forth between Colin's face and the glasses in his hand, his eyes filled with intense curiosity.

"I only recently discovered this new power of mine."

Noticing the curiosity in Nick Fury's eyes, Colin shrugged, glanced at the 'S'-shaped Black Iron Mark representing Superman on the back of his hand, and attributed it all to talent.

[Power – Super Disguise (Black Iron)]

[Power Description: Key to Superman's hidden Dual Identity: as long as he wears his glasses, anyone who sees him will not feel suspicious, nor will they associate Clark Kent with Superman's identity.]

[Super Disguise]

This was a Superman power that appeared in Colin's latest serialized story of the *Superman* comic in the Main World.

In this issue of the comic, Colin intentionally serialized a storyline titled 'Dual Identity,' describing why everyone, including Lois, had no suspicion whatsoever regarding Superman's identity. In this story, Colin described a power that Superman possessed, named Super Disguise.

Using Superman's daily life as the plot, it described Superman's adeptness in juggling his two identities as Superman and the reporter Clark, using his Super Disguise power.

Unexpectedly, the readers responded enthusiastically to this comic content that depicted Superman's daily life.

And Colin, taking advantage of the situation, unlocked this power.

It happened to be perfectly used for his new identity disguise in the Anti-World this time.
