The Going Meat Jr. cut through the waves like a red arrow fired from a bowstring that didn't know where it was aiming. Zoro stood at the helm, one hand lazily on the wheel, the other scratching his green hair while he stared at the horizon like it owed him money. The map in front of him was upside down—again—but he didn't notice. Or care.

Nami, pacing the deck with a compass in one hand and a log pose in the other, threw her hands up in frustration.

"This doesn't make any sense! After a detour to Shells Town, we should be weeks out from Logue Town—how the hell are we already seeing the the island?!"

The island loomed ahead: bustling harbors, tall spires, the faint outline of the execution platform where Gold Roger had met his end. Smoke curled from chimneys; ships of every flag dotted the docks.

Zoro shrugged. "My navigation skills."

Nami pinched the bridge of her nose. "You don't even know how to read a map! And you've been steering us in circles half the time!"

Luffy, sitting on the drumstick figurehead, laughed so hard he nearly fell into the water.

"Shishishi! Zoro's navigation is magic! It skips the boring parts!"

Nojiko leaned against the galley door, wiping her hands on her apron. "As long as we don't end up in the Calm Belt, I'm fine."

Usopp—chore boy—mopped nearby in sullen silence, nose twitching like it was allergic to the sea air.

The ship bumped gently against a side dock—away from the main harbor, but close enough to the action. Luffy hopped off first, sandals slapping wet wood.

"Logue Town! The town of beginning and end! Where Gold Roger started his journey—and ended it! Shishishi! Let's explore!"

He turned back. "Store Ship!"

The Going Meat Jr. shimmered and vanished into thin air with a soft pop. A few nearby dockworkers blinked, then shrugged—pirates came and went in Logue Town; weird shit was part of the deal.

Nami bounced off next, eyes sparkling with retail therapy hunger.

"I'm loaded now—time for shopping! Nojiko, let's hit the markets. I need dresses, you need ingredients. Chore boy—carry the bags!"

Nojiko nodded, slinging a small pouch of berries over her shoulder. "Fresh spices, herbs, maybe some rare fruits. Louge Town got the best before the Grand Line."

Usopp whimpered but shouldered empty bags like a pack mule, trailing behind the sisters with his elongated nose drooping.

Luffy and Zoro wandered off in the opposite direction—Luffy's nose leading him straight toward the first food stall he smelled.

"Meat skewers! Gimme ten!"

The vendor handed over sizzling sticks; Luffy devoured half in one bite. Zoro dragged him away by the vest when he tried to order twenty more.

"Save some belly for later. We're not here to eat the town."

"But Zoro—look! Fried octopus! And noodles! And—"

Zoro yanked harder. "Focus. I need new swords. Those two ordinary ones are junk now."

They pushed through the crowded streets—pirates haggling with merchants, Marines patrolling in pairs, civilians giving the rougher types wide berths. Logue Town buzzed with energy: the birthplace of the Pirate King, where dreams started and often ended on the scaffold.

Zoro stopped at a dingy shop with crossed swords over the door. "This one."

Inside smelled like oil and steel. Blades lined every wall—from cheap daggers to ornate katanas. The shopkeep—a wiry old man with a scar across his nose—rubbed his hands together.

"Welcome, gentlemen. Looking for something sharp?"

Zoro unsheathed his two nameless swords and slapped them on the counter. "Replacing these. Show me your best."

The shopkeep's eyes gleamed. "Budget?"

Zoro snorted. "I choose by the sword, not the price."

Luffy wandered the aisles, poking blades like they were toys. "This one looks tasty—sharp enough to cut meat!"

A young woman with short black hair and glasses bumped into him from behind—hard enough that she stumbled back, landing on her ass with a yelp.

Her glasses cracked on impact—spiderweb lines across one lens.

"Hey! Watch where you're going, you oaf!"

She scrambled up, adjusting her Marine uniform—tight jacket, sword at her hip—and glared at Zoro, assuming he was the culprit since Luffy had bounced harmlessly away.

Zoro stared back—dazed for a split second. The girl's face—determined eyes, black hair, that stubborn set to her jaw—hit him like a ghost from the past.

Kuina…

She kept nagging—voice rising.

"Do you have any idea how expensive these are? And now they're broken because you weren't paying attention! Be more careful in a sword shop of all places!"

Zoro blinked out of it, rubbing the back of his neck.

"…Sorry. I'll pay for the damage. How much?"

Tashigi flushed—anger mixing with discomfort. "I—I don't want your money! Just… be careful next time!"

She snatched her cracked glasses, shoved them back on, and stormed off—sword clinking at her side.

Luffy watched her go, then poked Zoro's arm.

"Oi. Something wrong? You look like you saw a ghost."

Zoro shook his head, turning back to the counter.

"She… looks like someone I knew from back home."

Luffy tilted his head. "Friend?"

"Yeah. Rival. She died young. Strongest girl I ever fought."

Luffy patted his shoulder. "Cool. Bet she'd be proud you're getting stronger swords now."

Zoro grunted, but the corner of his mouth twitched.

On the other side of town, Nami was in full haggling mode at a boutique—arms crossed, foot tapping, glaring down a shopkeeper over a slinky red dress.

"Twenty thousand berries? That's robbery! Ten thousand, final offer!"

The shopkeep sweated. "Miss, it's imported silk—fifteen or I'm losing money!"

Nojiko—browsing spices at a nearby stall—chuckled. "Nami, just pay the man. We're swimming in berries now."

Usopp stood buried under bags—dresses, herbs, pots—nose twitching from the weight.

"Ugh… how much more…?"

Nami shot him a glare. "Quiet, chore boy. You're lucky we let you carry instead of mop."

Back at the sword shop, Zoro's eyes had locked on a blade in the discard pile—rusted sheath, faint aura of menace. He pulled it out.

Shindai Kitetsu.

The shopkeep paled. "That one's cursed! Brings death to anyone who wields it!"

Zoro smirked. "Let's test that."

He tossed it high—spinning end over end—then thrust his arm out, palm up, daring it to cut him.

The blade whirled—missed his hand by millimeters—and embedded itself in the shopkeep's chest with a wet thunk.

The old man gasped once—blood bubbling from his mouth—then slumped dead behind the counter.

Tashigi—who was praying Zoro's hand doesn't get cut off, was dazed.

"You—you just killed him!"

Zoro blinked at the corpse. "Cursed, huh."

Tashigi drew her sword—Shigure—voice shaking with rage.

"You're under arrest for murder even if it's by carelessness! Drop your weapons!"

DING!

[Quest: Kidnap the Naggy Girl]

[Objective: Kidnap Tashigi and take her as a captive]

[Reward: Intermediate Armament Haki – Deeper coating, extended duration, hardening of weapons/objects]

Luffy's eyes lit up.

"Zoro! Let's kidnap her!"

Zoro—still holding Kitetsu—shrugged. "If you say so, Captain."

Tashigi charged—sword raised.

Zoro disarmed her in one lazy parry—Shigure flying across the room. Luffy stretched an arm around her waist, yanked her close, and clamped a hand over her mouth.

"Mmph—let go—!"

They worked fast—rope from the shop's storage tied her wrists behind her back, ankles bound, a rag stuffed in her mouth and knotted tight.

Tashigi thrashed—glasses askew, Marine uniform riding up—muffled screams vibrating against the gag.

Zoro hoisted her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. She swung wildly—kicking, squirming, ass in the air.

"Let's move," Zoro said, already walking out.

Luffy grabbed Kitetsu and a few other blades from the racks. "Free swords! Nice!"

They strolled out—casual as tourists—while Tashigi's muffled protests drew stares but no intervention. Pirates were common in Logue Town; kidnapped Marines were just another Tuesday.
