Sesshomaru and I were standing atop a cliff when I looked over to see the now blood red moon as the wind blew furiously. "Something bad either happened or is about to happen..." I think as I then hear something rustling towards us through the tall grass, and I quickly turn to see Jaken rushing towards us.
"Lord Sesshomaru!" Jaken calls out, making Sesshomaru glance back at him.
"Young Rin has been abducted!" Jaken proclaims, causing my eyes to widen.
"By who?!" I exclaim with a worried expression.
"Naraku's Incarnation, Kagura, appeared out of nowhere and took off with Rin!" Jaken made known, making my body freeze in place. "Did she abduct Rin because I refused to go back to the castle as Naraku ordered?!" I wonder as a chill ran down my spine, while a voice I knew all too well rang out.
"Let me reassure you, Lord Sesshomaru." Naraku's voice rang out, but I couldn't feel his presence.
"You better not have hurt Rin!" I bellow as a Demon Puppet appears before us with poisonous insects surrounding it. "Of course, he sent a damn Demon Puppet since Sesshomaru's here!" I think as I ball my hands into fists.
"If you heed my request, I shall return Rin in good health." The Demon Puppet insists. "So he means to have Sesshomaru trade me for Rin, Damn it!" I think as I clench my already made fists.
"Ah! It's Naraku!" Jaken points out.
"We meet again. So, what do you have up your sleeve this time?" Sesshomaru asks, but I don't dare take my eyes off the Demon Puppet.
"Nothing special. I simply want (Y/N) to return to me or... for you to kill Inuyasha." The Demon Puppet answers, and a smirk appears on Sesshomaru's lips.
"Huh. Why are you going through all this trouble for something so trivial?" Sesshomaru questions. "Trivial?" I wonder as a pressure arises in my chest, but before I could say anything, Sesshomaru rushes over and slices the Demon Puppets' head off. Once the head lands on the ground, it all turns to dirt.
"Aah! What is that?!" Jaken exclaims as I let out a sigh.
"A Demon Puppet, Naraku's specialty..." I trail off. "This is all my fault because I didn't go with Kagura... I have to get Rin back at all costs." I think as I look over at Sesshomaru.
"Thank you for everything you've both done for me thus far." I thank as I bow to them.
"Huh?" Jaken sounds out in confusion as I stand up straight.
"I'll go to Naraku's Castle so nothing bad happens to Rin, I promise I'll make him return her," I swear as I turn and begin walking away. "I won't let anyone else suffer because of me." I think with a determined expression as I begin to feel Naraku's presence guiding my path, while the Poisonous Insects follow after me.
(To Sesshomaru)
Sesshomaru continued to stare down at the Demon Puppet with a glare.
"Does Naraku honestly believe that he can threaten me into action by endangering the life of a mere Mortal?" Sesshomaru asks, causing Jaken to look up at him.
"Will you turn your back on the girl? Will you forsake both her and (Y/N)?" Jaken asks as Sesshomaru turns away and begins walking the same way (Y/N) left in.
"Wait! Lord Sesshomaru, where are you going? Where are you headed, my Lord?" Jaken asks as he follows after Sesshomaru.
(To Naraku)
(Naraku's POV)
"I watched through Kanna's mirror to see Sesshomaru following after (Y/N). "So, Sesshomaru, you decided to follow (Y/N) just as I planned." I think as a grin appears on my face.
"I won't let you escape again..." I trail off as I narrow my eyes at (Y/N), who has a determined expression.
(To Rin)
Rin's eyelashes flutter to see a wooden floor, and as she sits up from the floor, her eyes widen.
"Where am I? Huh?" Rin sounds as she looks over to see Kohaku sitting by the door. Slowly, Rin turns to him with a worried expression.
"Who are you? Rin asks, but Kohaku does not respond or even look at her. Quickly, Rin stands and rushes to the door.
"No, you can't go outside!" Kohaku made known.
"I have to get back." Rin insists as she opens the door, only to see several demons surrounding the building. Suddenly, one of them rushes towards her, making Rin quickly shut the door and slowly walk over to Kohaku. Sitting beside Kohaku, Rin pulls her knees to her chest with a scared expression.
"I told you not to go outside. If you do, they'll tear you apart." Kohaku informs Rin, who looks over at him.
"Who are you? Were you brought here against your will, like I was? We could run away together!" Rin chirps, making Kohaku turn to her.
"My job is to guard you," Kohaku states, and Rin lets out a sigh.
"Oh, I see," Rin says as she turns away, leaving them to sit there in silence for a moment.
"Oh! You didn't tell me your name. You can call me Rin, if you want. How old are you? And how come you're a guard here? Does that mean you're a Demon like the others? Tell me, what do you like to eat? Do you like melons?" Rin questions.
"Yeah, I guess. You sure talk a lot." Kohaku responds as he stares down at Rin with a cold expression.
"Hmm?" Rin sounds, but then sighs as she looks away from him.
"I know, but I get scared when I'm not talking, and I'm still worried if (Y/N)'s okay..." Rin trails off as she looks down at the floor.
"(Y/N)?" Kohaku questions while his eyes widen.
"Yeah, she's my friend. Do you know her?" Rin asks, making Kohaku turn away with a confused expression.
"I feel as if I've heard it before..." Kohaku trails off.
(To me)
I looked back to see Jaken and Sesshomaru were still following behind me, which made a sigh flow out of my mouth. "Didn't he say before this was a trivial matter? So, why is he following me?!" I wonder as the pressure in my chest worsens.
"What is wrong with me...?" I whisper, but then a strong gust of wind blows restlessly, halting my steps.
"If I may be so bold as to ask, how do you plan to approach this, my Lord?" Jaken asks as I glance back to see Sesshomaru stopped as well.
"Why did you stop? Is something the matter?" Jaken asks as Sesshomaru walks up to me and narrows his eyes at the view in front of us.
"Naraku's castle is here," Sesshomaru answers, and I nod.
"Huh?" Jaken sounds as he looks around with a confused expression.
"I don't see a castle, my lord." Jaken made known as a scoff escapes my mouth.
"Are you going to open the barrier or do I need to break it, Naraku?!" I exclaim as I hold my hand up. "It doesn't really matter if I break it or not. Inuyasha has probably already caught whiff of your scent anyway." I think as a light begins to appear in my hand. Suddenly, the view in front of us becomes distorted, and Jaken gasps.
"The barrier has opened up," Jaken states as the light in my hand dissipates, and I walk through the opening. "His castles are always the same..." I sigh as I look around to see the dark purple sky above us and the dreary feeling it gives off.
"Wait!" I hear Jaken call out, making me look back to see Sesshomaru behind me. "I can't tell if he's here to save Rin or to kill Naraku because he was trying to tell him what to do." I think as Sesshomaru walks past me.
"You purposely leave your scent to reveal your castle so that I will follow you here." Sesshomaru declares as blue flames begin to light up in front of the palace entrance, and Naraku's presence strengthens.
"Would you have come otherwise?" Naraku asks as he appears in his baboon outfit.
"I'm here now. Where's Rin?" I question as I walk up to Naraku with an annoyed expression.
"(Y/N) I must inform you that the girl you seek is not here in my castle. Unlike you, she would never be able to survive the airless atmosphere of this poisonous Miasma. The girl is under Kohaku's protection outside the castle walls. I assure you she is unharmed... For now." Naraku responds, and my eyes widen.
"Kohaku?!" I exclaim as Naraku chuckles. "Damn it, that means he wasn't planning on returning her alive!" I think as I glare at him, the presence of a shard starts becoming clearer to me.
"I won't let you..." I trail off as I jump onto the roof of one of the buildings. "I don't care if I'm supposed to change your fate or not, I won't let you do something so cruel!" I think as I glare back at Naraku.
"(Y/N), where are you going?!" Jaken exclaims, making me look back, meeting Sesshomaru's gaze.
"I came here to save Rin, and that's exactly what I'm going to do!" I bellow as I jump away in the direction I sense the shard in. "I won't let him use Kohaku to take Rin's life!" I think with a determined expression as I jump through Naraku's barrier, leading me outside.
"Just wait for me, you two, please." I plead as I begin running, while still following the Jewel Shard.
(To Sesshomaru)
"Naraku, do me the honor of at least recognizing that I am not here simply to save Rin." Sesshomaru made known as he looked over at Naraku.
"Huh?" Jaken sounds.
"Of course. You, of all people, seem to despise taking orders from others. You would not simply hand over something or kill someone when told to do so. Nor did you come to look for the girl. I realized that you are here to kill me." Naraku explains as Sesshomaru smirks.
"Hmm. You sound as if you believe you've led me into your trap. Perhaps later I'll have you explain yourself. If you should survive the night, that is." Sesshomaru threatens as he holds up his hand while his knuckles pop.
(Naraku's POV)
I chuckle as I glare over at Sesshomaru. "It is you who will not survive the night, and you will assist me weather you like it or not, Sesshomaru." I think with a malicious grin plastered on my face.
(To Kagome)
"Inuyasha, wait for us!" Kagome calls out as she is riding her bike, trying to keep up with both Inuyasha and the others who are riding on Kirara.
"Slow down, we're losing you!" Shippo, who was holding onto Kagome's shoulder, made known.
"What's the hold up?!" Inuyasha exclaims as he stops and turns to them.
"I can sense Sacred Jewel Shards," Kagome informs, making Miroku and Songo turn to her as Kirara lands next to Inuyasha.
"Huh." Songo, Miroku, and Inuyasha chorus as Shippo looks over at her.
"Two are coming from over there, and it feels like one of them is headed towards the other." Kagome specifies as she looks over at the cliffs in the distance.
"So you think the shards are in those mountains over there?" Miroku asks.
"What should we do?" Songo questions as she turns to Inuyasha.
"We'll go after the Jewel Shards. Inuyasha, you go and try to find Naraku's castle." Miroku responds as he turns to Inuyasha as well.
"Right. Make sure you get those shards." Inuyasha instructs and then rushes away.
"Be careful, Inuyasha," Kagome warns with a worried expression.
(To (Y/N) )
( (Y/N)'s POV)
I was almost to the shard when I sensed 3 shards coming from another direction, making me stop for a moment. "Don't tell me-
"I have to hurry." I insist as I start running again, but faster. "For some reason, I don't want to face Kagome and the others right now." I think, as I see a large hut on the edge of a cliff surrounded by many Demons and poisonous Insects.
"Kohaku and Rin must be in there," I state as I draw my sword.
(To Naraku)
(Naraku's POV)
"Lord Sesshomaru, I'm honored by your visit. So in return, I will gladly accept your challenge." I specify, while beginning to transform.
"Aah! What's he become?!" Jaken exclaims as he rushes behind Sesshomaru.
"Huh. A collection of rejected Demons. Is this your true form, Naraku?" Sesshomaru asks.
"True form? No. My body is far from being complete." I answer as one of the Demon arms sticking out from me rushes towards Sesshomaru, but he dodges it.
"Huh. You'll destroy me for refusing to do as you wish?" Sesshomaru asks as he lands in front of me. "You shouldn't have touched that which belongs to me." I think as I glance over to see Kagura peeking out from behind a pillar. "I thought I told her to keep an eye on my Butterfly?!" I think as I glare at Kagura.
(To Kagome)
"The Sacred Jewel Shards are nearby," Kagome informs Miroku, who had Shippo holding onto his shoulder as they ran beside Kirara.
"I don't like this, considering we're so close to Naraku's castle." Miroku points out, making Kagome and Songo look over at him.
"Yeah, I agree. Also, I think it's 2 people with 1 shard each, but now that they're so close to each other, I'm unsure." Kagome specifies, causing Songo to look to the front with a concerned expression.
(To Sesshomaru)
Grabbing onto the hilt of a sword, Sesshomaru draws Toki-Jin, making Naraku send several pieces of flesh towards Sesshomaru. Slashing his sword towards the flesh, a beam of energy causes them to disintegrate.
"Naraku, you're such a lowly Demon. You will never have the power or resources to harm me." Sesshomaru remarks, but Naraku only laughs as the pieces of his flesh begin to combine and move towards him.
"Huh?" Sesshomaru sounds as he looks down to see the piece of flesh wrapped around his leg. However, Naraku quickly sends several pieces of flesh towards Sesshomaru, causing him to slash his sword towards the flesh, allowing another beam of energy to disintegrate some of them. Jumping up, Sesshomaru begins to slash all the pieces of flesh that rush towards him and lands back in front of Naraku as the pieces of flesh rain down around him.
(Naraku's POV)
"How long do you intend to keep up this ludicrous farce?" Sesshomaru asks as a chuckle fell from my mouth. "Every time you hack away a piece of me, you're slowly covered by pieces of my flesh. And then..." I trail off as I see the pieces of my flesh begin to fidget on the ground.
"Uh!" I sound out as my eyes widen, while seeing my barrier beginning to ripple. "Who's there? Someone is breaking through my barrier, and it can't be (Y/N); she's where Kohaku and Rin are. It must be..." I think as I quickly turn to Kagura.
"Kagura, after him," I order Kagura, who narrows her eyes and then runs off.
"An unexpected guest, Naraku?" Sesshomaru questions cause me to turn back to face him.
"How very unfortunate for him. I assure you, his journey here will have been in vain." Sesshomaru states as he begins holding up his sword to the side.
"By the time he arrives, you'll be dead!" Sesshomaru bellows, while a huge blast of energy rushes towards me. Blasting several pieces of my flesh, I chuckle with a mischievous grin. "Just a little longer. Soon, you will be absorbed into my body. You will be one with my flesh." I think as I narrow my eyes down at Sesshomaru.
(To Kagura)
"Inuyasha!" Kagura gasps as she goes to fly down to him on her feather, but her eyes widen as she lays her eyes upon the red blade of his sword.
"Hmm? Kagura." Inuyasha says as she lands in front of him.
"So it was you who broke through the barrier, Inuyasha," Kagura states.
"In the flesh, Kagura. Take my advice and stand back. You're no match for me any longer. Back off and let me pass, or I'll have to kill you." Inuyasha declares as Kagura's eyes tremble, but buzzing sounds out, making her look back and see Naraku's poisonous insects.
"I can't let you pass, because I'm under watch myself." Kagura made known as she opened her fan.
"Huh?" Inuyasha sounds, while Kagura sends her Blades of Wind towards Inuyasha, who holds out his sword, but they disappear as soon as it made contact with them.
"If you're going to fight me, you'd better get serious!" Inuyasha shouts as he rushes towards her, making Kagura throw a few more blades of air towards him, but it turned out just like before.
"You'll have to do better than that!" Inuyasha calls out as he goes to swing at her, but she jumps up, dodging his advance with an annoyed expression. Suddenly, a sound rings out, catching her eyes to see a bunch of Demons rushing towards them.
"Hmm." Kagura sounds as she grabs a feather out of her hair and throws it up, allowing her to fly away as the Demons rush towards Inuyasha.
(To Naraku)
(Naraku's POV)
"Huh?" I sound as I glance away from Sesshomaru, whom I was getting ready to absorb. "He's headed this way. Kagura must have failed." I think with a concerned expression.
"You seem preoccupied with what's outside these walls." Sesshomaru points out, drawing my attention back to him.
"Lord Sesshomaru, I am afraid that I'll have to cut our visit short. I will have your power, every last bit of your Demonic Power. I shall have it all for myself." I specify as my flesh, which was cut away, latches itself onto Sesshomaru. A chuckle escapes my lips as my flesh swallows him, and changes form, starting to pulsate around him.
"At last, I have attained the full powers of a complete Demon," I state with a satisfied expression. "Along with no one left to take my Butterfly away from me." I think.
"Naraku!" Inuyasha's voice rings out, causing me to turn to see Inuyasha above me.
"No wonder you've been hiding your true form." Inuyasha remarks.
"Inuyasha!" I made known as he grabs his sword with both hands.
"You're dead! Wind Scar!" Inuyasha shouts as a blast of energy rushes towards me.
"I think not." I insist as I form a barrier around myself. However, it did not last as the Wind Scar struck several pieces of my body. "He's broken through my barrier." I think with wide eyes.
"I found you, Naraku, and today, I'm gonna destroy you." Inuyasha threatens as I scoff.
"Don't make me laugh. Do you really think you can slay me?" I ask as we glare at each other. "My mistake. I never expected Inuyasha to get this far." I think with a smirk.
(To (Y/N)
( (Y/N)'s POV)
"Get out of my way!" I demand as I slash through a Demon with my glowing blade, causing the Demon to disintegrate. However, it only turned the rest of the Demon's attention to be drawn to me, causing them all to rush towards me. "I have to get in there before it's too late!" I think as I glance over to see the door was slightly open, unlike before.
"Kohaku, Rin!" I call out as I begin dodging and slashing Demons that come my way, only to then see the door quickly slide shut.
(To Naraku)
"You're too late, Inuyasha. I have already consumed Sesshomaru." Naraku informs Inuyasha, who's been wrapped up in Naraku's flesh like Sesshomaru was.
"I don't know that your Half-Demon power will do me any good. But still, I will absorb your body into my flesh." Naraku states with a terrifying grin.
"Don't assume I'm as weak as Sesshomaru." Inuyasha declares as he begins to ground, while light shines out from the flesh and is then disintegrated.
"Huh?" Naraku sounds as Inuyasha begins rushing towards him once again.
"This is the end, Naraku! You're going down this time! Now die!" Inuyasha demands as he lets out another Wind Scar heading straight for Naraku, hitting the flesh surrounding Sesshomaru, freeing him.
"Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha calls out as Jaken, who was crying look up.
"My lord, you're alive!" Jake cries out with a happy expression.
"Huh. Naraku. Ironic, isn't it, to think that the flesh bound me to you would be your shield against Inuyasha's Wind Scar." Sesshomaru points out with a slight smirk.
"Move it. I'm taking Naraku down." Inuyasha counters, while glaring at Sesshomaru.
"No. Naraku belongs to me." Sesshomaru recounters causing Naraku to slowly bring pieces of flesh up, getting ready to attack.
"Not likely. This time you won't interfere." Inuyasha retorts as Naraku rises into the sky.
"I shall absorb both of you, while you bicker!" Naraku proclaims, making Inuyasha glare over at him.
"What's that?!" Inuyasha exclaims, causing Naraku to laugh out loud.
"Die!" Naraku demands as several pieces of flesh rush towards Sesshomaru and Inuyasha, who both jump up to dodge his advances.
"You cannot escape my attacks forever," Naraku adds as the pieces of flesh continue to chase after Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.
"Just die, will ya?!" Inuyasha exclaims as he creates a Wind Scar, taking out the pieces of flesh that were after him. Letting out a blast of energy from his sword, Sesshomaru destroys the pieces that were after him as well.
"This should finish you off once and for all!" Inuyasha bellows as he creates another Wind Scar, rushing towards Naraku.
"What's happening?" Naraku asks as the Wind Scar disintegrates most of his body.
"One more should do it. Huh?" Inuyasha questions as Sesshomaru rushes past Inuyasha.
"I told you to let me take him," Sesshomaru responds, making Inuyasha glare over at him.
"Back down," Inuyasha instructs, but Sesshomaru doesn't listen and lets out a blast of energy towards Naraku. Suddenly, a large amount of Miasma shot out from Naraku, causing both Inuyasha and Sesshomaru to jump back.
"Huh? The Miasma." Inuyasha whispers as Naraku rises up into the air with Miasma and insects surrounding him.
"Lord Sesshomaru, I shall withdraw for now," Naraku informs Sesshomaru, who glares up at him, while his Demonic Aura swirls around him.
"You fool! Don't think that you can ever escape my grasp." Sesshomaru growls as Naraku chuckles.
"Lord Sesshomaru, rather than transforming and hunting me down, shouldn't you be rushing to the side of that young Mortal Girl?" Naraku asks, and the Demonic Aura surrounding Sesshomaru disappears.
"Your companion, Rin, is with a boy named Kohaku. (Y/N) realized the implications and ran to them, but I'm sure you know as well, Inuyasha." Naraku chuckles as he disappears into the sky.
(To (Y/N) )
I was battling the Demons when I saw Kohaku and Rin riding on one of the Demons.
"Rin, Kohaku!" I call out to them, and Rin turns to me with a worried expression.
"(Y/N)!" Rin calls out as the Demon continued to fly away.
"Hiraikotsu!" Songo's voice rings out, making me look over and see her riding on Kirara.
"(Y/N)?!" Kagome exclaims as I look over to see her and Miroku standing a few feet away from me.
"Kohaku!" Songo calls out, causing me to quickly turn back to her.
"I'm going after them, I'll leave the rest to you all!" I shout as I rush after Kohaku and Rin. "I have to get to them before Sesshomaru finds him or Kohaku's going to be killed..." I think as I begin running as fast as I can.
(To Rin)
"Kohaku, why did we leave the house? I saw (Y/N) outside when we left. Please tell me where we're going now. Kohaku, say something." Rin insists, but Kohaku stops with a gasp and pulls her towards him, while lifting the Chain Scythe in his hand.
"Kohaku, don't do it!" I demand as I see him barely miss Rin. "Naraku's controlling Kohaku like a puppet again." I think as I quickly rush to Rin's side, I look up to see Kohaku with a vacant expression.
"(Y/N), What's wrong with Kohaku?" Rin asks as I grit my teeth.
"Rin, I need you to run," I answer as she looks over at me with a scared expression.
"What?" Rin questions as I see Kohaku lift his Chain Scythe.
"Run!" I call out to Rin, but she shakes her head.
"No, I won't leave you!" Rin cries out, making me hold my hands out in front of Kohaku, who still has his Chain Scythe held up.
"Kohaku, please stop." I plead as I stare into Kohaku's vacant eyes. "If Naraku truly cares for me, he won't have Kohaku attack me, right?" I wonder as Kohaku goes to slash me.
"(Y/N)!" Rin screams, but I don't look away from Kohaku, who stops his blade right before it touches me.
"Kohaku-" I was interrupted by Kohaku jumping back and turning to Sesshomaru, who was a few feet away from us. Suddenly, I look back to see Rin on the ground, unconscious. Quickly, I look over to see Kohaku pointing his blade at Sesshomaru.
"Oh? You turn your blade towards me?" Sesshomaru asks, and my eyes widen as Sesshomaru holds up his hand.
"No, please-"
"Kohaku!" Inuyasha's voice rings out, while interrupting me as I see him punch Kohaku in the face.
"What are you doing, you fool?!" Inuyasha exclaims as I hear breathing behind me, which makes me turn to see Kagome bend down to the unconscious Rin.
"She's all right. She's just unconscious, that's all." Kagome informs as Inuyasha sighs. "Did you really have to punch him?" I question as I rush over to Kohaku to see a light bruise beginning to form on his cheek.
"You heard her. The girl's not hurt, so let the boy go free." Inuyasha insists, but Sesshomaru looks over at Kohaku and me.
"Stay out of this, Inuyasha. It's useless to try to interfere." Sesshomaru, made known as Kohaku, stands up.
"This boy seems compelled beyond reason to die by my hands," Sesshomaru states, and my eyes widen.
"I won't let you." I declare as I step in front of Kohaku.
"Kill me instead," I add, causing everyone's eyes to widen.
"(Y/N)!" Kagome calls out, but I shake my head.
"I'll take responsibility for Kohaku's actions!" I proclaim as Sesshomaru narrows his eyes at me.
"(Y/N)..." Sesshomaru trails off.
"Don't do it, Sesshomaru." Kagome pleads as Sesshomaru, and I stare at each other for a moment.
"Lord Sesshomaru!" Rin's voice rings out as both Sesshomaru and I look over and see her with a bright smile.
"Hmm? What happened, (Y/N) and Kohaku too? Rin asks as our eyes meet, but the Kohaku begins running away. "I can't stay with them, neither Kagome nor Rin." I think as a mixed expression appears on my face.
"I'm sorry..." I trail off as I rush after Kohaku.
"(Y/N)!" I hear several people call out, but I don't stop as we enter the forest to see Kagura.
"You've made your decision to return to Naraku's grasp?" Kagura asks as I scoff.
"Don't lump me in with you or the other Reincarnations. I'm doing this for the people I care about, Kagura." I answer, making her put on an annoyed expression, while grabbing a feather and throwing it up. Kagura, Kohaku, and I were all on the feather as I looked down to see Sesshomaru, Inuyasha, Rin, and Kagome staring up at us.
"(Y/N)?!" Kagome exclaims, but I turn away from her. "I will change Naraku's fate, but I promise I won't let anyone I care about die in the process." I think as I clench my already made fists.
