Chapter 2 - 02 - My New Skills

Two hundred years ago, great wars ravaged the Earth. Around 100 million humans remained, and the world was left desolate, with only a few cities scattered across the globe.

However, the wars brought discoveries and advances that were previously unimaginable. Many of these advances were combined and patented as the "Primordial System."

Since the dawn of humanity, humans have always been born with genetic preferences and talents. While some are born with fighting skills, others are born with sewing skills. With a very limited workforce, people in the new post-war world no longer had time to discover what they were good at, because humanity needed to work to avoid collapse. This was the exact function of the 'Primordial System'.

The 'Primordial System' was developed to assist humans in all aspects, and it was soon discovered in the first volunteer that the 'Primordial System' could not only assist humans, but also determine what humans should or should not focus on doing.

That was how the Systems spread throughout the world, determining the professions that humans should follow for the rest of their lives.

I hated it, I really hated it. Although I was good at exploring, I never wanted to be a Ruin Explorer, so I was so happy when I finally changed systems, even though I didn't know what I would do.

However, as much as I still hoped to become a warrior, I was about to discover that the wonders of the world were much more than wielding a sword or killing monsters.

[Congratulations, Leonard! 'Multiversal Romantic Screenwriter System' has been successfully installed!]

That series of messages I heard in quick succession stunned me a little, mainly because I didn't know what they did. However, this was not the right time or place to stop and read what each one did.

I grabbed my backpack, slung it on my back, and focused on getting out of the 'Cave of Greed' before anything else.

The journey back would be more challenging if I didn't have my maps to help me, but I remembered the paths I had taken, including those I used to avoid encounters with monsters.

So even I, with all my attributes set at five, managed to get out of that cave.

After I returned to the Republic City and was safe behind the great walls, I had more time to finally study what my new system did.

In general, most systems had basic functions, such as informing the user how much health and stamina they had. For mages, it also informed how much mana they had. What really differentiated the systems from each other were the skills. Skills were all that mattered.

"First, I'll check what does."

+

[Skill: Melodious Voice]

Description: This skill will allow you to use your voice to calm creatures and people, promoting harmony in the environment.

Effects: Stuns the target and nullifies any effect afflicting the target, whether emotional or magical.

Classification: Unique

Requirement: None.

+

"This skill is... useful. I can use it to calm someone down, but honestly, it seems like a nerfed version of that skill called that I once saw a police officer use," I said aloud. "Let's move on to the next skill."

+

[Ability: Carnal Bond]

Description: Upon reaching a high level of emotional bond with someone and finally making love, you will receive an increase in all your attributes.

(Warning! The increase will depend on how much pleasure you give your partner. If the relationship is recurring, a smaller percentage increase may be granted permanently.)

Effects: Boost.

Classification: Unique.

Requirement: Have more than six hearts with the target (Read about the skill for more details).

"This skill... Hehe... Wait, I know the name of this system sounds a little strange, but this system allows me to become stronger by... having sex?! That's amazing!" I said aloud without meaning to and immediately regretted it.

Although the walls of my room at the Explorers' Association were thick, my neighbors could still hear me if I spoke too loudly.

"Right, this skill seems much better than the first one! I want to try it!" I said confidently, but the sad truth was that I had never even had sex before.

Until I was 18, my life had been all about studying, and after that, I had to work hard as an explorer to try to pay off my debts. And in the ruins, it wasn't common to find other Explorers, let alone girls.

"Okay, Leo. You need to focus... There are more skills."

To my surprise, all the other skills had to do with sex and relationships.

allowed me to measure my relationship level with people using Hearts as metrics. If I had zero hearts with someone, it meant I had no affection for that person; if I had six, it was a great friendship with benefits. Enmity would begin when I lost hearts with the person to the point of going negative.

Meanwhile, the skill would allow me to temporarily copy someone's skill, but only if I kissed or had sex with them. The duration of this skill copy would also depend on how much pleasure I could give that person.

These were good skills, no doubt about it, but where would I find people to interact with in this world?

When I scrolled down to the bottom of my system's skill window, I saw that there was actually one more skill to analyze — .

The icon for this last skill was a bird feather, very similar to the one that allowed me to change systems. The moment I clicked on this icon, I was surprised by the golden feather materializing in the palm of my right hand. Then a window appeared describing this skill.

+

[Skill: Fissure]

Description: Magic is transcendental to time and space, capable of easily connecting and creating bridges between different worlds, realities, and universes. Using the item provided by this skill, you, and only you, will be able to create multiversal portals between worlds where magic exists. Simply write the name of the world you wish to travel to in the air.

Effects: Travel.

Classification: Unique.

Requirement: Be a carrier of the Multiversal Romantic System and be in possession of the Divine Feather of Eros.

More than ever, I was stunned.

"It can't be real..."

Of course, I wasn't going to believe it so easily. I knew what the word "multiversal" meant. I knew how powerful that word was.

First, the very idea of other worlds existing seemed crazy. Besides, any world that possessed magic? Did that even include fictional worlds? No, it couldn't be, it was impossible. It had to be... right? Even though I wanted to test it out.

As mentioned, I used to be a nerd during my teenage years. When I wasn't studying, I was watching anime to take my mind off things, so I knew thousands of them.

Konosuba, Slime Datta Ken, Kaiju Number 8, Fairy Tail, Naruto... Many anime series have survived the wars. So, I had many options, but I needed one where my erotic system could work at full speed.

Any Ecchi anime would work, but I had my favorite among them. I grabbed the golden pen and wrote in capital letters: High School DxD.

The golden letters floating in the air exploded into particles, and a portal began to form before my eyes.

When the portal opened completely, I could see the blue sky and, contrasting with it, the Kuoh Academy with its large windows and architecture that... Ah! None of that mattered!

I could actually travel to that world full of gorgeous girls!
