The phone slipped from Aria's trembling hand and hit the floor with a dull thud. Elias rushed to grab it, his face turning pale as he stared at the photo again. "This was taken from inside," he muttered. "Which means whoever did this…"
"…is still here," Lorenzo finished grimly. His voice was steady, but his eyes darted toward the hallway, scanning every shadow.
Aria's knees almost gave out. "No… no, that's not possible," she whispered, backing away from the window. "The doors were locked, Lorenzo. You checked them yourself."
"I did," he said, pulling her closer. "But if Sebastian is behind this, he knows how to get in. He knows every inch of this house."
Elias quickly shut the laptop and moved to the wall where a small gun was hidden behind a panel. "We have to move. Now. Before whoever's in here gets to us first."
Lorenzo nodded, his jaw tightening. "Take Aria through the side exit. I'll check the upstairs."
