Chapter 7 - chapter 6

Chapter 6

Trey's classes were over. Everything was new and weird. To sum up the day off,he could see kids like him being fetched either by their dogs or cats. There was even a hamster.

Kids his age halted their daily dose of bullying. Everyone had a weirded out looks on their face. Even their principal was Mrs Allen's Persian cat. Everyone wondered when things would go back to what they should be. I mean look at the food in the pantry. There were grasses served by cows from farms and fried rats served by cats. All the kids had disgusted looks and got confused about their current state. Guess it was just the rabbit's carrots display that went sold out.

When he arrived from school, his mom was laying in her pee. She stinks. So little Trey dragged his mom in the bathroom and started to bathe her. Because Amanda was no longer human by behavior, she scratched Trevor's arms and meowed loudly. Trevor, despite the little sting he felt on his arms, wiped his mom with a towel. He almost cried seeing how his mommy behaved. He's still a baby. How can he manage to sort things out on his own?

He brushed and blowdried Amanda's hair for a while. It's a good thing she happened to be sleepy. And just when he and Amanda were laying side by side on the couch, his dad meowed very loudly. He tried to trace where the sound was coming from. It's not from the kitchen. Not from the porch. He quickly peeked from the window and saw his dad on nothing but the top of the tree that was in their front lawn!

Oh boy. How is our hero going to save his dad when he's too short to climb that tree? He called the rescue team's number. He then went outside and assured his dad that help was coming for him.

After a few minutes of waiting, the firefighters arrived. To his surprise, the team was composed of dogs and cats. Well, he probably underestimated them and got a bit ashamed of himself when the team successfully rescued his dad who's stuck on a tree top. Trevor couldn't stop thanking the rescue dogs and cats.

The entire rescue operation went abuzz. It was shown in the papers and online and on tv.
