Venom's smile faltered for a moment, and a flicker of surprise crossed her face. But then, her expression hardened, and she laughed, the sound echoing through the warehouse.
"Ah, Leo," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "You're finally remembering. Yes, I was involved in their deaths. And it was just business, nothing personal."
Leo's face twisted in rage, his eyes blazing with anger. "Nothing personal?" he repeated, his voice low and menacing. "You killed my family, and you call it nothing personal?"
Venom shrugged, her smile returning. "In the world we live in, Leo, sometimes sacrifices need to be made. And your family was just a casualty of war."
Mira watched the exchange between Leo and Venom, her heart pounding with fear. She knew Leo was on the edge, and she wasn't sure what he would do next.
Leo's eyes locked onto Venom, his face set in determination. "You're going to pay for what you did," he growled, his voice low and deadly.
Venom's laughter echoed through the warehouse once more. "I'm shaking in my boots, Leo," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
