Mira was in her room when Leo walked in. "Mira, I have some bad news," Leo said, his expression somber.
Mira's heart sank. "What is it? What's wrong?"
Leo's voice was gentle but firm. "It's about your uncle. He's in the hospital. There was a fire at his house, and...I'm not letting you go see him."
Mira's eyes welled up with tears. "What? Why can't I see him? How is he?" she asked, her voice cracking with desperation.
Leo's tone was cold and detached. "I don't know, Mira. I'll keep you updated as soon as I can."
Mira felt a wave of despair wash over her. Tears streamed down her face as she processed the news. "Please, Leo, tell me he's going to be okay," Mira sobbed.
Leo's expression softened slightly. "I hope so, Mira. I'll do my best to find out more information." He paused, his eyes locked on hers. "But I have a condition."
