Liam's eyes locked onto the mysterious figure, trying to make out any defining features. But the shadows seemed to swallow them whole. He strained his ears, catching snippets of their conversation.
"...the plan is set in motion," Sophia said, her voice barely above a whisper.
The figure nodded, their face still obscured. "We'll need to be careful. Leo's getting closer."
Sophia's eyes darted around, her gaze sweeping the area. Liam held his breath, hoping not to be discovered.
The figure handed Sophia a small package which contained poison, which she tucked into her bag. "This will give me the upper hand," Sophia said, a hint of a smile on her lips.
Liam's mind racing, he retreated, careful not to be seen. He had to report back to Leo, but he needed more information. Who was this mysterious figure, and what was their role in Sophia's plan?
