Chapter 4 - Path

The oceans and waters play a vital role in the ecosystem. While the world is predominantly composed of land and various kingdoms, the seas and bodies of water also serve as habitats for numerous creatures, monsters, and unique natural resources.

Some notable aspects related to the oceans in the world of Tensura include:

Magical Waters: The seas and waters often possess powerful magical energies. Certain parts of the ocean contain magical forces that can influence living beings and the surrounding environment.

Sea Creatures and Monsters: The world is filled with a variety of marine life, including large and dangerous sea monsters. Examples include various sea dragons and colossal aquatic creatures that challenge adventurers and other beings.

Marine Resources: The oceans provide a wide range of resources such as fish, mineral deposits, and magical materials, which are highly valuable for kingdoms and nobles, despite the extreme difficulty in extracting them.

Special Waters: Some bodies of water in Tensura possess unique properties, such as healing waters, which are used in rituals or serve as sources of power.

As the sun dipped lower beyond the horizon, the sky transformed into a canvas of fiery oranges and soft pinks, casting a warm glow that lingered in the air.

The world seemed to hold its breath, caught between the fading light and the impending darkness.

Shadows stretched longer, and a gentle hush settled over the landscape, as if nature itself was preparing for the night. Gradually, the vibrant hues faded to deep purples and midnight blues, unveiling a tapestry of shimmering stars beginning to twinkle in the velvet sky.

The cool night breeze whispered softly through the leaves, carrying with it a sense of calm and mystery, as the day gracefully bowed out and night took its rightful place in the quiet embrace of the universe.

I walked slowly, following its golden rays reflected on the ground, as if calling me toward an unforeseen journey.

The gentle, warm evening light touched each of my steps (no leg), casting long shadows that danced beside me, becoming silent witnesses to the inner journey I was undertaking.

A soft breeze whispered gently in my ears, carrying the scent of damp earth and falling leaves, while the sky gradually shifted from vibrant orange to tender pink, signaling the end of the day and the beginning of something new.

In that quiet moment, I felt at one with nature, following the trail of light that seemed to guide me into the mysteries and hopes hidden within the peaceful dusk.

This will be a rather long journey, and I don't know exactly how long it will take. I must stay strong and keep growing along the way to prepare for the potentially prolonged battles ahead.

Howl.....

Under the gentle glow of the full moon, the silence of the night is broken by the long and mournful howling of wolves, echoing like a lament from the depths of the quiet forest.

I didn't realize it was already night, and along the way, no monsters appeared like the lizard I killed earlier.

Abandoned land is just that—abandoned—and even monsters are reluctant to live here. Maybe only Dagruel and his followers are willing to stay in this place, as expected from loyal servants of Veldanava.

Let it be..

By the way,

Where are you, monster?! Come out!

*The rustling sound coming from the bushes.

Is this what you call food coming when you're hungry?

Let me check it

In the shadows of the thick bushes, a giant snake monster lurked silently, its gleaming eyes piercing through the darkness. Its massive, scaled body was coiled tightly, blending seamlessly with the surrounding foliage, waiting patiently for its next prey. The air was thick with tension as the creature's forked tongue flicked out, sensing the faintest movements nearby, ready to strike with deadly precision in the cover of night.

uWah...So big, maybe 5 meter or less

Hopefully, this snake doesn't possess any strange or unusual abilities.

Can this snake sense me?

Yah mostly snakes can sense you through its keen senses, such as smell, vibrations, and heat detection, allowing it to perceive your presence nearby even if it is hiding in the bushes.

Since this is a fantasy world, I must be careful.

Try like I just killed the lizard monster, and I seem to have an extra skill: mind manipulation. If successful, it will be very easy to find other monsters based on the perception of this snake.

Maybe my aura is too strong for the weak monsters around me, causing them to become afraid.

*Spectral Howl*

*Humming

Suddenly, the snake was momentarily stunned.

Now is my chance!

*MIND MANIPULATION*

*wussss

Suddenly, there was a ten-pointed star mark on the snake's forehead.

I feel a certain connection with this snake. This skill is quite practical, but it consumes a lot of magicules—though it's worth it. Hmm, so it turns out this snake is just an ordinary snake that has mutated; no wonder it's so easy to manipulate.

Alright, alright, now let's go find another monster...
