Chapter 2 - Chapter Two:

I clutched the prince suit shirt into my fist. Crinkling where my fist was. I was so scared I guess I started to shake because I felt the prince's grip tighten on me. Securing me.

I leaned into him. He growled again but it wasn't directed at me. It never was from the start. I felt relieved.

I looked up to see who the growl was aimed at. Railey. She looked like she was about to explode from anger. She didn't even care that the Lycan Prince was growling at her. She scoffed before stepping forward.

Then she did the unthinkable. She pulled me by my hair with a lot of force, pulling me out of the prince's arms. Throwing me on the floor. Then rubbing her hands off on her dress like she just touched trash.

"Now, let's get a trash bag."

No one moved. Everyone stared at her then me and then the prince. Waiting for something to happen. That's when Railey muttered something of wolves being useless and went to get a bag herself.

As she opened it everyone just stared. I was to scared to move. Then as she turned her back to the prince to face me her head suddenly rolled off her body and onto the floor at my feet.

I stared at her head in horror. My eyes widen as I screamed. May did the same. She came running to Railey's body and head. Railey's eyes, dead eyes, stared at me. I clapsed my hands over my mouth.

Then strong arms pulled me in. I didn't have to look to know it was the prince, my mate. Because of his scent. Arrie purred at the contact. But fear still filled me.

He turned my head into his chest away from Railey's dead body, and her eyes that stared at me.

He stood up and walked away. I closed my eyes not wanting to see the wolves staring at me or to see Railey's body.

When I heard a door open and closed behind us I opened my eyes and looked at him just as he placed me down on the bed and turned to the bathroom to start a bath.

"Your Highness, I-" he cut me off.

"Alaric." He said voice soft and composed but still firm.

"S-sorry?" I stammered.

"My name. It's Alaric. You're my mate call me Alaric or Al."

"Alright. Alaric, what are you doing?" I asked my graze drifting to the bathroom in his room in the packhouse.

"I'm starting a bath." He said clearly not understanding my question.

"I can see that. But for what?" I asked making sure my question was clearer.

"Obviously to bathe you and get you ready for bed. As of myself. I also need to wash. Especially the blood on my face form that disrespectful girl."

"That was Railey. Alpha Aiden's sister." I said exhaling as realization settled in.

"Oh, well how unfortunate. Then I don't have to do much at telling her family as of why she is dead. Though it does concern me why she called you an omega."

I froze. He didnt know. No one outside my pack knew. Omega's were band. If anyone was given that title the one who gave it would receive great punishment.

"Because that's what I am. My pack omega. Their punching bag. Ever since I can remember."

I didn't feel an ounce of guilt. Guilt of revieling my packs secret that everyone promised to keep, everyone except me. Instead I felt embarrassed and ashamed of it. I looked down at my hands in my lap as I sat on the bed.

When I looked up I saw Alaric's face. Pure fury written over it. I stood up from the bed and walked to him.

"Alaric, the bath will over flow if we don't turn off the tap." I said touching his arm.

His gaze snapped to mine, softening. I saw a grin form on his lips. "We can't have that, can we?"

I nodded. He turned dragging me by one arm. Not forcefully. It was gentle.

In the bathroom, he turned off the tap and turned to me.

"Ready to take a bath...?"

"Aurelia." I finished for him.

"Aurelia..." He tested my name on his tongue.
