Chapter 14 - The Angel of Annihilation

The Slane Theocracy was established by the Six Great Gods who descended six hundred years ago. Though called gods, they were actually players who were transported here when the game servers shut down.

Sig doesn't know if more players will descend in the future, but since the author wrote this story, Nazarick is likely the last batch.

Who can say what will happen a hundred years from now? Let's focus on the present.

Sig mocked without concealment, "Perhaps ignorance is a kind of fortune."

Nigen said angrily, "Insolent fellow, you will pay for your foolishness. All, summon angels!"

As he spoke, more than a dozen Flame Archangels were created. Including the floating Monitoring Archangels in the sky, there were at least two dozen angels present.

Such a number of angels looked quite intimidating.

In the strictly hierarchical Theocracy, only superiors could speak to him like that. The person in front of him was merely a suspected Silver Knight, perhaps just a crude imitator.

Sig righteously declared, "My companion, Ainz Ooal Gown, will arrive soon. He is the greatest magic caster, capable of effortlessly killing all of you. If you want to make a move, do it quickly."

It was another unfamiliar name. Nigen's patience had reached its limit. He didn't remember anyone named that among the Thirteen Heroes.

"So what? He's just a magic caster. If you're trying to threaten me, then you've got the wrong person."

"That's not what I meant, just giving a heads-up." Sig raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The sound of breaking glass seemed to echo around them. "And I wasn't talking to you."

Something unexpected suddenly happened, and Nigen immediately panicked, "What's going on?!"

Sig's tone shifted, "Huh? Didn't you notice you were being monitored by information-based magic? I'm done talking. I don't want to be spied on anymore."

"Am I being monitored by my homeland...?"

While Nigen was stunned, a subordinate beside him let out a scream, a sound of extreme terror. Facing numerous powerful beings, he was very familiar with such a scene.

"Summon Vassal."

A colossal magic circle unfolded on the ground, and a gigantic entity emerged from the shadows. It was a completely black dragon, with rigid scales flowing with purple patterns, and demonic horns spiraling on its head, like a grim reaper returned from hell.

The black dragon lowered its front limbs deeply, meekly bowing its neck, symbolizing complete submission.

Nigen and his subordinates were petrified. This dragon was undoubtedly a Dragon Lord-level existence.

But to be so easily summoned as a vassal, it was unimaginable what kind of monster the summoner truly was.

Sig stepped onto the dragon's back, "This is the highest-level dark-attribute dragon I can summon. Let your angels try it. If you have any trump cards, use them quickly."

Though it was called the highest level, it was only Level 80, not particularly outstanding among high-tier vassals.

The strongest dragon he could summon was an Ice Dragon, reaching Level 99, and under the effect of the Mount Reinforcement skill, it could display the strength of a Level 100 player.

Nigen reached into his embrace for the Demon-Sealing Crystal, secretly making a decision.

The enemy before him was extremely troublesome; there was indeed a need to use the highest-tier angel.

Although the conditions for summoning again were difficult, falling into enemy hands would be even more troublesome. This was not the time to hesitate.

"Buy me time to summon the angel!" Nigen shouted desperately.

The subordinates beside him trembled with fear, taking heavy steps to shield Nigen.

Facing such a behemoth, it felt as though even breathing would be fatal.

Angels were summoned one by one, attacking with extreme speed.

The black dragon merely swatted them away casually, and the angels burst open like mosquitoes, the disparity in strength was too vast.

Those who tried to attack from behind were also swatted away by a single tail whip, and even the Monitoring Archangels, known for their defense, couldn't withstand two attacks.

"Sig-sama, are you alright?" The black dragon uttered halting words from its mouth.

Sig looked at the rising dust in the distance, assuming an army had passed by. He no longer needed to waste time here.

He then urged, "Deal with them quickly. I'm getting a little tired of watching."

"Yes."

The black dragon then stopped speaking, and light gathered in its mouth. This was a unique ultimate move of the Dragon race.

Just at this moment, the highest-tier angel was fully summoned, and Nigen laughed confidently.

"How about this? This is the highest-tier angel, capable of single-handedly killing a Demon God!"

This bizarre creature composed of wings was the Archangel of Radiance, emanating something akin to holy light, holding a golden scepter in both hands.

But in the face of the terrifying Dragon's Breath, all of it was useless.

A terrifying stream of dark energy erupted, and the Archangel of Radiance, having just appeared, was directly pierced through. The damage exceeded its tolerance limit, and it dissolved into faint specks of light, vanishing into the air.

Even the clouds in the sky were blasted away, leaving scorched traces.

Nigen collapsed, and he began to beg for mercy, "Silver Knight-sama, please spare my life! Even if you only leave me alive, that's fine!"

The black dragon said nothing, turning its head to look at Sig, seemingly asking if it should kill him directly.

Sig pondered for a moment and decided to show some kindness.

"Alright, I can spare your lives, but it would be troublesome if you resisted."

Nigen hastily patted his chest and guaranteed, "We won't resist! As a captain, I can vouch for that."

Sig said kindly, "A wise man submits to circumstances, Captain Nigen."

"Thank you for your generosity!" Nigen quickly said.

The Theocracy soldiers behind him also breathed a sigh of relief. The Six Great Gods bless them, they actually survived.

Sig jumped off the dragon's back, and the giant dragon immediately disappeared into the shadows.

Of course, he wasn't being overly compassionate. Killing these few people would be useless; it was better to research other uses. These were valuable samples.

"Is that Demiurge?"

"Yes, Sig-sama. No one has invaded around Nazarick. Aura and Mare have already gone to Karn Village as backup."

"I will send a few humans back. They are entrusted to you. Remember not to kill them."

"Understood!"

...

Inside the meeting room, the remaining Guardians gathered.

"Is Sig-sama alright? Did he mention me!" Albedo showed an expectant smile.

Demiurge shook his head helplessly, "Albedo, you seem to have a lot of worries lately. It's not good to suppress yourself all the time."

Albedo's face flushed, "But Sig-sama refuses to accept me as I am now, so I can only hide my true nature."

"Oh my, Albedo, you still haven't managed to win over Sig-sama?" Shalltear covered her mouth and chuckled.

Albedo's expression twisted, "You haven't even touched a corner of Flying Squirrel-sama's clothes! I've been in Sig-sama's room!"

"Hah? That's because I'm responsible for guarding the floors! Don't you dare use your expired body to seduce Flying Squirrel-sama!"

"Bitch!"

Hearing the two of them start arguing again, Cocytus sighed. It would be better if they just served Sig-sama together.

Demiurge smiled, "Isn't such competitive spirit good? Then the Supreme Beings' children will be born quickly."

"You mean the young master? That would be a wonderful sight, ah, it's fantastic!"

Demiurge turned to look at Sebas, rubbing the ring on his hand, revealing a meaningful smile.

Sebas was full of questions. Was he showing off to him?
