Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

📖 Chapter 2 – Chains of Silk

The limousine's tinted windows reflected the city lights as it sped through Seoul's sleepless streets. Seo-jin sat rigid, her pulse quickening.

The man beside her—tall, immaculate in a black suit—hadn't looked away once. His eyes weren't just watching her, they were claiming her.

"You still haven't told me your name," Seo-jin whispered, her voice trembling but steady enough to hide her fear.

A slow smile tugged at his lips. "Names are meaningless in my world. But since you'll be living in it… you may call me Raven."

The name sent a shiver through her. Cold. Sharp. Dangerous.

Raven leaned closer, his cologne intoxicating, his voice a low promise. "Do you know why I chose you, Seo-jin?"

Her throat tightened. "I don't even know who you are."

He chuckled, dark and smooth. "I am the man your world will soon bow to. And you—" his finger brushed her wrist, sending a jolt down her spine—"are mine."

The car slowed. She glanced outside. This wasn't her neighborhood. Iron gates opened, revealing a sprawling mansion hidden in the hills.

Her breath caught. A prison dressed as a palace.

As the car stopped, Raven leaned close to her ear, his breath warm, his words colder than ice.

"Run, if you want. I enjoy the chase."

The door opened. Guards waited. Seo-jin's heart pounded. For the first time, she wondered—was this fate pulling her into a deadly romance, or a trap she would never escape?

To be continued…
