Chapter 2 - Post-Mortem

The dark alleyways, the lurking shadows, the dangers were welcomed by the Starry lights. The Vehciles accelerated at their usual peaceful pace towards their home. Admist such tranquility Mentania was restless, concerned and anxious of what he had seen yesterday. The bloodstains, deep scarred face and the blindness, he kept thinking about the causes, he wondered (although it was meaningless to do so) who may have been the culprit? Just as he kept wondering the lights flickered around the alleyway he was passing by. He sprinted before he could be discovered, turning at the crossroads with a swing. He was afraid that someone had traced his dripping blood stains.

Once, he reached a safe spot. He dashed towards nearest Phone-booth hoping that this time too he would survive "RESISTANCE". But who knew that it was impossible to do so several times. Four men! Charged towards him aggressively. Having a greater blood-lust than ever. It almost looked like that this time he would probably not survive. But surrendering was not one of the options he had enlisted him for long ago.

He armed himself quickly. And Shot! But it was a play-act of intimidation. The shadowed figures of men stood silent not due to cowardice but out of pity for the fellow like him.

"Keep Mocking" "If you really want me dead come and take my life away!" "I won't bludge even a bit"

One of the men, seemingly tried to approach him but he was pulled back to do so.

A highly accelerating truck came slamming onto the nearest building while it's shards floated above the ground for a bit. Both parties were suprised and wondered. Then came out a huge brust of attileries , the surrondings echoed around the city blocks. The roof tops of buildings collapsed one after another. Dreadful screams of agony were heared. In no time, smoke covered the area but for Mentainia it was a situation of life and death. Surely, he was going to collapse under his own weight, blood had been drained too much for him sustain himself. Just as he fainted, came another by another the flying attileries from both the directions. The counter-attacks begin crushing innocents under the rubble for they had not choosen a side.

Mentainia collapsed, just as he thought everything would end. The Para-Medic forces arrived. Thus, Complete silence and peace were experienced by him.
