A ball of purple liquid levitated in front of a teenage boy. What surrounded them was nothing but darkness.
The purple ball seemed to be made from a liquid of some kind, moving as if it was alive. Some of the liquids inside ball dropped to the ground and as if it was some acid, it burned through the ground, revealing white light that was starting to blur the boy's vision.

In his bedroom, the boy jolted awake with a loud shout. His hair was sweaty from all the sweat he got from the night.
Sighing, he convinced himself that it was just a ball of purple water, which is not going to deal any harm to him whatsoever. Moreover, it was just a dream, nothing to get all worried and terrified about....right?
He stood up and walked to the mirror opposite to his bed. He sat down on a wooden chair, looked at the floor, and closed his eyes.
'Why was I so afraid of a mere purple ball?' He asked himself, slowly opening his eyes. But when he raised his head, he realized that it wasn't his own reflection on the mirror.
"Ahhh!"
Somehow, he saw the purple ball in the mirror, overlapping his own reflection.
"John? Are you okay?"
It was. his mother, John's mother, knocking on the door and calling for him. "I'm okay," John replied, without even looking up.
"Anyways, breakfast's ready, don't miss it. Bye!" "okay"

Clanking sounds were heard from the dining room, clearly it was the sound of John's family eating their most important meal of the day, breakfast.
"Did you get a nightmare? I heard you screaming," John's brother, Alex, asked him, hoping to break the silence.
"Yeah, and I'm running late, gotta go!" John said, before running of to school with his bag, completely avoiding Alex's question.
