Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: The Truth Yet To Come

Krytheos walks around the base, not looking for something for once in his life. He heads upstairs. He walks over to Satoshi's room and enters. The room is painted completely black with the exception of two closets, a desk, and one spot on the wall. The wall has two broken chains hanging from it. Below the broken chains, the wall and floor are smeared with blood. One of the closets is lying on its side, the other has a skull on top of it. At the center of the room, Satoshi sits on the desk, holding a small wooden puppet. As Krytheos walks in, Satoshi slowly looks up, annoyed. "Hey, Satoshi, I need a bit of a fa-," he goes to say before Satoshi cuts him off.

"Shut the hell up, Krytheos, who the hell permitted you to enter my room? Just be glad I didn't immediately rip out your skull and use it as a wall accessory," he says, threatening Krytheos.

Krytheos sweats a little, but still doesn't understand the danger he might end up in if he keeps talking." Yeah, whatever, if you do me this one favor, then I will consider leaving you alone," He says.

Satoshi quickly gets more annoyed. "If I rip out your spine, then I will get the same result. Can't annoy me if you are dead, that's the biggest flaw in your argument. Now leave me alone as I listen to the Symphony of Chaos my puppets are conjuring. Isn't it funny, when darkness falls and chaos rises, people turn to their false heroes, but quickly learn that those 'heroes' abandoned them the moment they realized how powerless they were against the chaos," Satoshi says.

"Why are you using puppets to create chaos? Actually, why am I questioning you doing this? I'll just go ask someone who isn't completely messed up in the head. I don't get why I didn't think of that in the first place," Krytheos says. He turns around and leaves Satoshi's room, closing the door behind as he leaves.

Dai'chi is lying down in his room. He is staring at the ceiling when he hears Jesse coming. Jesse yells Dai'chi's name as he enters the room. Dai'chi looks at Jesse, and he slowly sits up. "What do you want? I have very important things that need to be done right now, so I can't be bothered," Dai'chi says, obviously lying.

"It would take an absolute idiot or Krytheos for someone to fall for such a fake excuse like that. I need you to go get a certain flower for me. I need it for something important in the future," Jesse says. He easily picks up that Dai'chi is not doing anything important and isn't going to be doing anything important for a while. He puts his hands behind his head.

Dai'chi lies back down on his bed. "I don't feel like doing it, do it yourself. You could also just ask another crusader, and if that doesn't work, just put up a request at the adventurers' guild," he says

Jesse sighs. "While normally I would do those things, I can't right now. I currently have a lot of things I have to do, so I can't. Krytheos is too weak to go where I need you to, Aevum is still in sleepy town, Satoshi is too much of Satoshi, and Iori has just disappeared for some reason. I can't find her anywhere," Jesse says. He suddenly gets more annoyed. "Recently, Aevum and Satoshi have been killing middle and lower-tier gods non-stop. They have been non-directly destroying countless amounts of universes and multiverses. If this keeps up, it's not impossible for a whole realm to collapse, and things never go well when that happens."

Satoshi starts yelling at Jesse for disturbing his peace with useless rambling. Aevum wakes up for a brief moment. "No, I refuse to stop, killing those lowly lifeforms would never end in something as great as that to happen," Aevum says. He falls back asleep.

Jesse sighs. "This fool has no idea how powerful the butterfly effect can be sometimes. All it takes is a few small changes for everything to fall apart," he says. Aevum casts a fireball in his sleep and shoots it at Jesse; it hits him. "ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?" Jesse yells.

"I guess I need to figure out where this flower is. You'll at least tell me what I'm looking for, right?" Dai'chi says. Jesse nods his head. Krytheos runs down the stairs and heads over to Dai'chi and Jesse.

"Hey, you guys aren't busy, are you? I needed a bit of a favor from someone. I was going to ask Satoshi, but he refused to help, and I realized that he isn't exactly the most mentally sane," Krytheos says.

Dai'chi turns and looks at Krytheos, unamused. "Now I sometimes say that Jesse doesn't do anything, but I do know that he does actually do things. In your case, I sincerely think that you quite literally just ask people to do things because you are too lazy to do it yourself. Every time something happens, you either ask someone else to do it, or it doesn't happen at all," Dai'chi says. Before Krytheos gets a chance to deny what Dai'chi said, Satoshi walks down the stairs.

He cracks his neck as he walks down. He walks up to Dai'chi and Krytheos, and he looks at them seriously. "I guess it's about time that we finalize everything. You guys both have proved that you are worthy of joining the Crusaders, sadly for one of you, so it's time to finalize your joining," Satoshi says.

"What do you mean by finalizing it? We both have rooms here and can teleport to the base whenever we want. What is there left?" Krytheos says, actually saying something smart for once. Satoshi sighs, annoyed that he has to explain.

"I mean, it's time to get the symbol that proves you are a Crusader. To officialize making you two one of us."
