"If you ask me, I'd probably be mad as well..." Rei's voice sounds a bit annoying. "I mean, even as an Omega, I hate to see my Alpha get approached like that!"
Ezra is on a video call with his friends; as usual whenever he is in trouble. The silent treatment that he gave to Fa has been ongoing; seven days since the registration day.
"I know I am his Omega, but can he at least give me a room to grow up? If he keeps getting frustrated like this, I can't even imagine how he will react when I start the class later!" Ezra vents up.
"Ez, he already gives you a lot of freedom. When you say no to skinship, he allows that. When you received the super bike from Old Grandpa Sarin, he let it slide because you love the gift so much! He allows you to go whenever you want to by yourself. He said yes when you chose Engineering; although he knows it's an Alpha-dominating course. Is it not enough for you?"
War's inquiries pull Ezra into deep thought. He pauses a bit, leaning his head against the bedboard.
"I think, Alpha Fa is anxious. He can't mark you yet, which means you're almost open to anyone. People do have different thoughts, Ezra. You never know," Tish offers her advice.
"You're lucky, Fa is willing to wait for you. Most of the Alphas, they hate waiting. Once they have their Omega, the first thing they do is seal the deal. You do know what that means, right?" Rei reminds Ezra about the worst-case scenario that happened to some unlucky Omegas at Kwi Nation.
"You need to learn tolerance when it comes to a relationship, Ez. It's like a tango dance; there's no way you can tango alone. Learn how to walk in his shoes," says War. The male Omega gives Ezra a soft gaze of care.
His friends are right. Even if not all, some of those are reasonable to Ezra. Compared to those unlucky Omegas, his life is far too good to live on. He used to grow up without a family—now he has one, thanks to Fa. Not only are they nice and loving, but they also appreciate him inside and out. No demands, nothing.
And he still wants to be ungrateful?
After the call ends, Ezra walks out of his room straight downstairs. From his spot, he sees Fa. The Golden Alpha is playing with chubby Emi in the living room. They laugh together while playing with some soft toys. Emi stretches out her small hands, asking for a lift.
"You wanna play plane flying?" Fa asks Emi in his baby voice. He lifts the cub high and makes her pretend to fly. Using his power, he projects a blue, pink, and purple sky with fluffy clouds everywhere. The cub flies up while giggling, obviously having fun.
"When you grow up, we can ride a plane together. Your father is a great pilot, your grand uncle, too!" Fa chimes. "And... your Omega uncle Ezra will join the wagon as well! He's gonna be the first Omega pilot, and plane engineer in our family!"
Ezra gets struck by those words.
"I hope, when you grow up, you'll be the best just like Omega Ezra, a brave Omega like your papa, and an elegance like Omega Caspian!"
Unknown to Ezra, he softly draws a smile on his face. Watching Fa play and putting hopes in Mei, there's no doubt that he is indeed a great Alpha.
"But, don't be too beautiful, okay? It's hard to take care of such a beautiful Omega. Those hungry Alphas; they won't spare you a dime! Just look at Omega Ezra. I'm having a hard time taking care of him! He is too beautiful, even an angel is jealous of him!"
Ezra can't help but scoff.
"But, I know I can trust him. He's unlike any Omegas. I had a hard time having him as my mate. That means, he knows how to take care of himself..." Fa laughs faintly. "I wish he could love me just like how he loves himself. If only..."
Fa goes quiet. He smiles, watching Emi pout her lips. The cub probably is hungry now, so Fa envelopes her in a tight embrace and goes to Cirrus's room, looking for Tul.
The final line of the conversation brings Ezra into a deep thought. He always puts himself first before others; he never truly cares about Fa's feelings. Out of anger, he unconsciously punishes that Golden Alpha.
The prolong hatred... he should dismiss that all at once!

"Wahhhh!!" Ezra shrieks in happiness. A strain of rainbows is painted on the sky that evening; a beautiful sight after the rain. He rolls down the car window, and stretches out his hand, trying to grab the colorful stripes.
"You might lose your fingers if you do that..."
"Tsk! How can you believe in that superstitious?"
Ezra refers to an old, superstitious beliefs—if you point out at the rainbows, you might lose your finger.
"Nope. I don't. But, there's another car from the other side, if you're not careful, there will be an accident for sure!"
Ezra immediately pulls his hand inside. Fa scoffs while glaring at Ezra. "Sometimes, old folks based on logic. If you randomly pull out your hand like that, people will notice you from afar. What if they shoot you?"
"Am I looking like a target board?"
Fa takes a glance, eyes roam up and down. "So far, you're not a board flat. Your hip perks up nicely, waist is a bit thinner than last month. Chest is fine for me—"
"Would you stop being a pervert, just for a second?" Ezra squints his eyes.
"How can I?" Fa gives a questionable look. "I'm always hungry for my Omega."
Ezra smacks Fa's shoulder, creating a loud thump sound. The Golden Alpha shrieks in pain but doesn't seem mad about it. Instead, he laughs out loud. Enough to annoy the young Omega.
"You know what's the best thing to do at this time?" asks Fa.
"Please don't mention that, Fa..."
"I'm just asking..." Fa hopelessly laughs. "Who has a weird thought now, huh?"
"Don't blame me when you're the one who's always on that kind of run..." Ezra replies. "Expect the expectation."
Fa drives his Subaru until the car stops at the back of the mansion. The basketball court looks glistening after the rain. The smell of the high-quality rubber that coats the surface of the court intrigues them for a game. Fa takes out a huge black basketball from the car's boot and tosses it in the air.
"Let's play basketball," he offers Ezra a game. The younger nods happily, jumping out of the car and running towards the court merrily. Fa joins Ezra, dribbling the ball along the way.
"Just a plain one is boring. How about we put a bet?" Fa gives out a proposal.
"Name it. Game on," Ezra replies with his cocky yet cute attitude.
"There's a new horror movie, just got released last week. I want to watch the movie, but I need someone to accompany me..."
Thinking about the horrific scenes, Ezra shivers through his bones. He winces a bit, eyes squinting.
"Fine. But, if I win, you need to explain to me about something..."
"About what?"
Ezra pauses a bit, measuring whether he should just go all out, or give a hint and rake it slow.
"It's about something that I found in your room weeks ago..."
