"Are you ready?" Fa asks Ezra. His Omega dresses in a traditional wedding costume; gold silks and red embroidery. While Fa himself dresses in the same pattern; only in gold and yellow embroidery.
Ezra frowns, brows knit to each other. He stands next to Fa in front of the huge door of the wedding hall. He can feel his palm is sweating like hell. No words coming out of this chatterbox.
"Or... Are you having a second thought—?"
"I was burned in a fire twice because of you..." Ezra glares at his Golden Alpha. "If that's not enough reason to stay, then I am the craziest person on the planet."
Fa chuckles, amused by Ezra's sharp words. He is true, tho. Come to think of it, the first time he was in a rut after Ezra came, that brave but obnoxious Omega was the one who channeled a cure in him. Then, this very Omega also smacked him in the epiphany while fighting with the Bloodsucker. Not to mention the most epic marking session. They almost burnt the whole swimming pool.
"Thank God you're still alive..."
"I'm holding onto that statement as a weapon to destroy you in the future. Remember, I told you I would take revenge against you? Don't ever think that I will forget about that, ThongFa Sarin! Whenever you mess up, I'll recite the story over and over again!"
Fa sighs, shaking his head faintly. "So... what Pein told me about marriage is indeed true..."
"What did she say?"
Fa scoffs, eyes linger on Ezra. "When it comes to your mate, you'll definitely turn into a fool."
Ezra sheepishly laughs. As he wants to utter some words, he decides to keep them for the future. Looking at Fa—his handsome face—Ezra melts inside. He might be a pain in the ass at first, but now, this fool is his mate; spiritually and legally.
The door opens, revealing a nice wedding altar. Elder Tawan is waiting for them with another abbot on the altar. The couple enters the hall politely, with a smile on their face. While walking, Ezra notices the presence of his friends and their partners: Rei, Tish, and War. He chuckles when he sees War; points at his huge belly. His Omega friend is ready to have a second cub!
Once they reach the altar, Fa helps Ezra step onto the small ladder. Elder Tawan instructs Ezra to sit on a solid wood chair. Fa takes his place next to Ezra. The couple is ready for the ceremony.
The abbot recites some holy prayers as the guests follow along with the prayer. For those who are clueless, the best option is to close their eyes and lower their head. During the prayer, Elder Tawan throws some flowers all over the couple, reciting the prayers as well.
As the abbot is done, Elder Tawan grabs a golden bowl container. It contains rose water that has already been blessed by the abbot. Fa sticks out his hand, and Ezra follows. The Omega places his palm under Fa's palm and together, they hold the water using their palm.
Next, the elders of Sarin step forward and bestow them with blessings one by one. Following the third gen of Sarin, Fa's cousins and their spouses. From Ezra's side, his friends step in as his family. They give the couple their blessings. From the corner of Ezra's eyes, he can see Tish and Rei shed some tears. He sticks out his tongue to tease them, only to get a playful smack from both of the female Omegas.
An action that causes a laugh.
The wedding goes smoothly with almost no hiccups, except for the rain. But, that's not a big issue since the ceremony is held in a hall. The coldness probably makes some bodies shiver, but that's not an obstacle that they need to hinder.
"The activity is quite active in your household, eh?" Ezra rubs War's huge belly.
War sighs. "Ah... I am tired. I can't even move properly! But, I feel relieved because my Alpha understands. She is taking care of my older cub most of the time."
"War lives like a Queen in that household! He even got himself a private nurse!"
"Perks of having a female Omega!"
War glances at Rei and Tish, feeling shy at the tease. Ezra joins them, teasing War as well.
"What about you, Tish? Where's your cub?"
"At home with his dada. Aish, he is indeed a papa's cub! He refuses to listen unless his dada tells him!"
"Stubborn, just like you!
"Yarh!" Tish playfully smacks Rei's shoulder. The Omega shrieks in pain but later she laughs out loud.
"Rei, are you having a cub as well?" Ezra asks.
"Why? Am I looking fat?"
They laugh out loud.
"No... I still have three dreadful years of medical school! And my dear Alpha is very supportive. He decided to put a hold on expanding the family plan until I at least finish my Housemanship," Rei replies with a proud look on her face.
"You keep asking about us! What about you? Are you ready for your first night, huh?" Tish crooks up her brows.
"We already did it. I don't think there's thrill anymore," Ezra replies with a calm demeanor.
"Yarh, wedding night is a special occasion! No matter how many times you did that, on the wedding night, the vibe is different!" Rei pats Ezra's shoulder softly.
"Ah, when you have a Viber in your house, you have no choice but to keep everything discreet!"
"Viber?" Ezra's friends exchange looks, curious by the statement. As Ezra tries to explain, Fa suddenly appears from behind.
"Can I have my Omega back?" he asks with a polite smile on his face.
"Take him away! We're so done with him. Here..." Tish pushes Ezra towards Fa. His small body collides with his husband, leaving only a small grunt and a meaningful look. As they leave the lovebirds, Fa leans closer to Ezra.
"I heard you guys were talking about wedding nights..."
Ezra straighten his body, facing Fa in confidence. "Yes. We did. I told them nothing is special since we already did it before."
Fa chuckles. He leans even more closer to Ezra. "Well, you never know. I can make it special enough that you will remember it for the rest of your life."
"Wow... I smell ego and overconfidence in you!"
Fa gives Ezra a slurry look. "Don't underestimate your husband, my husband. Remember, I am a Visualizer. With my imagination, I can make everything possible. We can even go to the Moon if you want to!"
Ezra scoffs as his eyes linger on Fa. "Sorry, but I'm not on heat yet."
Fa smirks. He slowly releases his pheromone, targeting only Ezra in the process—an act that awakens the Omega's pheromone. Ezra touches his gland as he locks eyes with Fa. He sticks out his hand, and without a pause, Ezra grabs it before Fa drags him out of the hall.
"Eh, where's the couple? We're ready for a family photo!" asks Renyu. Cabot and Kawei stretch their heads, looking for Ezra and Fa.
"Let me go and find them—"
Peinaire suddenly halts Tul midway. The Omega looks at her anxiously.
"Pein, what's wrong?" Caspian asks.
"Tsk! These horny asses!" Peinaire curses as she shakes her head faintly.
Cirrus finally understands. He grabs Tul by his waist and smiles. "I guess, we have to wait until their honeymoon for a family photo..."
The elder finally understand. They sheepishly laugh, feeling secondhand embarrassment for the couple.
"Jeez, I hope Fa brings some protection with him!" Cirrus teases the couple.
"That's not important compared to some lubricant! Which I hope they had by now! That fucking wolf is too hot to handle!" Peinaire pinches her temple, looking so done with this.
From far, a mix of freesia and blood orange flows in, along with the wind as two people—a Golden Alpha and Omega—are having a moment to seal the deal for the future. As Ezra tries his best to match and keep up with his husband, Fa never tones down for even a bit. The two wrestle until God knows how many knots and spurs are coming.
