Elias thought only for this feeling of connection to stay within him forcing his gaze towards the briefcase. Once picked up by its brown leather handle did that connection fade and a blueprint of this seemingly normal item appeared within his mind. This was a magical object with the ability to house creatures of magical property and it contained several areas's within including habitats. Mentally giving this Avatar his goal and mission. With that Elias began his journey unknown to him that the Fiction he loved so dearly had consumed him.
Bringing us to the present so far within Elias' journey he has found four creatures with this seemingly innocent Niffler to be his fourth. after releasing his left hand from his bridged mask did Elias make his move. At first he seemed slow but in fact was forming strategies in hopes of getting the Niffler inside his Briefcase as it came with the condition of freewill. This meant that Elias had to entice this magical creatures into his Briefcase and if forced the repercussions were unknown. However once inside Elias gets control for its release and placement back into his briefcase.
With a strategy formed Elias placed his briefcase in front of the Niffler as he began to divulge his plan. "We don't have much time. So I'll make a deal with you. I open the safe you get inside deal?" The Niffler momentarily confused realized by inside that he meant the briefcase and looked confused but the prize of shiny things were at play and his little claws weren't cutting it. With a cute hand or paw motion of an idea sprouting the Niffler agreed with a head nod signifying the deal being struck.
With his go-ahead Elias lifted his mask revealing his tanned face and green eyes with his black hair already visible. Yet another feature caught the Niffler's glance a scar from Elias' face marked from his left eye down to his cheek. Seeing this the Niffler began to rethink his thoughts but momentarily forgot as the mysterious man before it spat on the safe. Yes spat with his spittle on the safe a steaming sound began to enter both Elias and the Niffler's ear's as visible holes began to appear from it.
It took ten minutes for a hole big enough for the Niffler to fit giving it five more minutes of 'playtime' within. Once that five minutes passed a passage within the safe formed from the acid that ate away the steel safe. With an opening revealed Elias returned his mask to his face and walked through. Finding the sniffler swimming in gold coins he had spilled. What once a gold filled safe was now barren with only a few bars and jewels left scrounged up on the ground and used as play things.
"Well have fun?" Sounding more childlike than before as a father would a child the Niffler happily rubbed its belly in appreciation. Seeing its pleased look Elias gave a small chuckle and placed his briefcase down opening each latch. However right before his fingers touched the smooth copper sirens waved from outside forcing Elias to pick back up his briefcase and look towards his new friend. "I think it's time for our exit."
Frightened by the sounds of sirens the Niffler jumped on its two paws while its remaining two covered his Niffler's pocket holding all its treasure. Ignoring Elias as it remained still seeing this distraction the party in question grabbed the Niffler by its scruff and placed him on his shoulder saying steady "Hold tight." Hearing the command the small rodent was confused until the golden glyph returned and a crimson flame made its reappearance.
Outside the source of the sirens was a self made blockade of fire still protecting the store infuriating Gordon who looked to his second in command Harvey Bullock. Bullock was well shaped due to his diet of doughnuts and hotdogs causing his weight to double overtime showing stretch marks in the fabric he wore. Due to this Bullock refrained from wearing the uniform of the Gotham City Police Department and instead wore his usual Blue overcoat and brown slacks with a white undershirt to go along with it.
Surrounding the duo was an army of police operatives and a barrier of line policemen and cruisers preventing the thief's escape. "I told you I wanted the fire department here within ten minutes!" Ached Gordon at Bullock's folly. Who the party in question tried storing away the anger "Hey! I didn't expect for the five foot-Hey look!" Bullock trying to shift the blame saw the approaching fire truck and as a lifeline pointed it out towards Gordon calming him down.
Seeing the red truck Blair its siren and colors vibrate thanks to its light adorned on its top. The leading firemen walked towards the commissioner expecting a rundown, but was met with fury "Blow that god damn wall Down!!" Startled the head fireman turned around and signaled his men to prepare themselves. With a trained hand each Firemen went to their according positions grabbing the hose and its release valve waiting for the order. "Now!" With that a firemen with the embroidered name tag Reed pulled the valve releasing the water housed inside the firetruck.
Similar to childish cartoons a bulge of water moved at a quickened pace soon enough releasing out its end stirring the firemen up as the water sprayed the wall of fire swiftly decimating it. "All units move in!" Called out Gordon commanding his forces to move. Once running the officers passed the fallen firemen helping those who needed it while the rest ventured inside.
The store seemed quiet as no alarms were raised the first to venture inside saw that all the contained gems were all lined within their glass containers confusing the officers on Gordon's declaration of a thief. However those thoughts didn't last as they believed their chief officer and a patch of evidence that came to light. "Hey guy's this doorknob? Look at it." Officer Melendez called out toward her colleges earning their attention towards the opened door specifically the lock. Which seemed to have been melted by a type of Acid. Seeing was believing and now all knew this was a certified break in.
"Alright Melendez on right. Coffer on left." One officer spoke trying to give calm and order to his fellow officer's began to worry by a simple fact that Melendez pointed out "Huh? Where'd Coffer go?" Hearing his colleges question he immediately turned surprised by the sight but then a whooshing sound escaped his ears causing a stressed turn again seeing that Melendez was gone. Then it came the sound of scattering and dragging feet echoed around the room.
Sweat dripped off the officer's face as his ear's and eyes tried to make sense of what was happening. But the sound kept getting closer until it wasn't a dud was felt atop his officer's cap issued by the GCPD. It was a basic cap as only to its uniqueness had the GCPD emblem on it being lady Gotham herself with her sword wielding glory. Yet nothing prepared the officer for what happened next a creature the size of a dog and shape of a mole stretched its paws outward and began to growl at a heightened pitch as its eyes stared into the officer. Out of fear the Officer jumped turned around and saw a Plague Doctor who without warning struck him knocking the officer unconscious.
Hearing the body hit the ground Elias saw the Niffler on top of the officer mounting him like a hunter catching his first prey standing over his name tag embroidered Theodore. Seeing the name Elias chuckled and said aloud " I think I'll call you Teddy." Hearing the name the Niffler took a pensive position sitting on the downed officer closing its eyes in thought and then clapped its paws in gratitude. As the name seemed to fit it well it thought. With another simple chuckle Elias picked the Niffler now named Teddy up and began his exit strategy.
Looking outside Elias numbered the opposing force nearing thirty and it seemed more were on their way. With little time to think Elias looked to his surroundings and his gaze was brought back by Teddy who tugged at his shoulder. "What?" Elias asked as Teddy pointed back at the officer they took down causing a form to take place "Teddy you trouble maker."
"Send in the next wave!" Called Gordon infuriated and worried that his men haven't called back in as they've been inside the store for five minutes on radio silence. Bullock shared Gordon's worry and began to take the next wave himself into the fray however something surprising happened an officer ran out the store dragging two other officers with him. This was officer Theodore in his police uniform and cap downed.
"Sir! He's getting away he made an exit inside the safe!" Gordon hearing his officer looked to him and was about to ask "Are you sure?" But was stopped by Bullock and his men running into the fray taking Gordon with him. Once they entered did they noticed Theodore stripped bare with only his briefs on and skin bare. "Damn it Bullock!" Called Gordon shamefully looking down on both Bullock's and his own Judgment not even recognizing his own man was a disgraceful act. As the crowd ventured back outside Elias and his new friend Teddy were gone leaving officer Theodore's uniform neatly folded on the ground as it soaked in the rain of Gotham City.
About two streets away Elias simply kept his Plague Doctor's outfit own as it was his only source of clothing and that it protected him from the weather. Once a viable alley was spotted Elias placed his Briefcase down and opened both copper latches hearing the familiar click Elias then turned to Teddy who looked back at Elias in confusion until it remembered and simply jumped into the case seemingly falling into its blackness causing a string laughter to echo out Elias mouth.
"This was a delightful Boon." Spoke simply as Teddy the Niffler wasn't his actual goal within the crime ridden Gotham city. In actuality it was to track down a resident who he was told most likely had information he could use in his search for creatures of power and wonder that his mission deemed him to protect. Imagine his surprise when he suddenly spotted a Niffler walking about Gotham as its play ground. With a simple lock of the case. Elias returned it to his grip and pulled a card out his pocket reading a street he had required from a friend and turned his head around finding the street signs.
