Chapter 6 - Livia's Awakening

They walked towards the library, before stopping at where the skivers were gathered before.

Livia looked up at him . "Why did you stop?"

Leon narrowed his eyes at the empty steps. "This is it. The barrier kept them out… but I don't know if it'll let us through."

He reached out tentatively, half-expecting to feel the same invisible resistance. His hand met nothing but still air, yet doubt prickled his mind.

Before he could test further, Livia tugged at his arm. "It's fine," she said quietly. "Remember I've already been inside."

She pulled him through, their was resistance but only for a brief moment, and just like that they had reached their first destination.

[You have entered a safe zone]

"Safe... zone?"

But before he could think about the, sound of groaning from the body in his hands brought him back.

"Let's find somewhere to you down first" he said looking down at Lara.

They walked up the stairs, their footsteps echoing faintly in the vast silence of the library. Inside the library stretched endlessly, shelves upon shelves stacked with ancient tomes. But not a single person stirred within the safe zone.

"Lara is there anybody else in the library" Leon asked

"No" she replied adjusting her her head on his arm.

"What happened to them"

L lb he asked as he watched her, cheerful playing with his sleeve.'so cute' he thought .

"Well I'm pretty sure there were people before, but I guess they all left for some reason. They probably died or something." She concluded

"And why didn't you run out " Leon asked her with suspicious eyes.

"Well I was sle– reading, I was so focused on reading, and by the time I woke up the whole place was empty and those monsters were already outside" she explained with a bit of sweat forming on her forehead.

'She was definitely sleeping wasn't she' Leon sighed.

Livia was known for her deep sleeping, so much so that Leon sometimes wondered if she could snooze through an earthquake. He raised a brow at her, but said nothing.

"Don't look at me like that," she muttered, puffing her cheeks in mock annoyance. "It's not my fault the world decided to end during my nap."

Leon shook his head, a faint smile tugging at his lips. But then Lara stirred again in his arms, her hand tightening weakly around his shirt.

his eyes swept the upper floor until he spotted a secluded study room with its door half-open. "We'll rest there," he said as he lead them up to the room.

Leon nudged the study room door open with his shoulder and stepped inside, lowering Lara onto a worn leather sofa. She immediately reached for him, fingers trembling, eyes glowing faintly in the dim light.

"Leon…" she whispered again, lips parting as fangs began to edge past her teeth.

Before he could react, her lips pressed against his neck. A sharp sting tore through his skin as her fangs pierced, followed by the hot rush of blood leaving his body.

Leon gasped, his whole frame tensing, but he didn't push her away. Instead, his hand instinctively rested on the back of her head, steadying her.

"So she was just hungry?" He wondered, but atleast it was something they could solve easily.

The door creaked.

Livia stood frozen in the doorway, eyes wide like she was watching a murder take place. Her lips parted, but no words came out at first.

She was shocked at the sight, but more importantly, she was jealous. Her throat tightened as she gulped down imaginary saliva, the bitter taste of envy clawing its way up.

She wanted to taste it too, Leon's blood, she wanted know what It tasted like. Her legs moved on their own, carrying her a step into the room before she even realized it. Her breath quickened, chest rising and falling asleep the thoughts of drinking Leon's blood filled her head.

Before she knew it, she was beside them. Her hand gripped Lara's shoulder, yanking her back from Leon's neck. Lara's lips parted in protest, a faint snarl rising in her throat—only for it to be swallowed by Livia's sudden kiss.

The room froze.

Leon's breath hitched, stunned by what he was seeing, his hand still clutching the sofa for balance as the warmth of Lara's bite lingered on his skin.

Livia's lips moved against Lara's, fierce and desperate, tasting the traces of his blood still fresh in her mouth. The coppery tang burned her tongue.

Her thoughts spun wildly. So this is what it's like… this is his taste…

Lara pushed back, her eyes flaring crimson as she broke the kiss, gasping. "Livia… what the hell are you—" even if it was her sister she didn't appreciate the interruption to her meal

"Hmm...? I was just having a taste" Livia's tongue traced her lips slowly, savoring the last drops. Her voice was playful, but her eyes burned with something darker.

Lara's lips curled back, her fangs gleaming. "You.. you can't just—"

"Enough." Leon's voice cut through the air, sharper than either expected. They both turned toward him, tension still crackling between them.

But the moment shattered when Leon suddenly reached out and grabbed their arms, one hand on each of them. His grip was firm—not painful, but unyielding—dragging their focus back to him instead of each other.

Both girls froze.

"Listen," Leon said, his voice low, but heavy with something that made their hearts pound. "ive never really said this before so I'll say it now, I love all of you. Not one. Not two. Every single one of you. And I plan on making you all my women. And don't ever want any of you to fight for any reason."

He slowly got up and sat down in-between them, he slowly pulled them both closer, one arm wrapping around each trembling shoulder. Neither girl moved, their bodies stiff against him, their eyes locked on his face.

They both looked at each, before sighing.

"I guess I'm sorry for attacking Lara like that" Livia muttered first, looking down at her knees. Her fingers fidgeted at the hem of her sleeve, her voice small but still carrying that familiar edge.

Lara glanced at her sister, her crimson eyes softening for a heartbeat. "…Yeah. Sorry for almost killing you"

"Huh?" Livia blinked, whipping her head toward Lara.

Lara smirked faintly, leaning back against the sofa. "What? You ripped me off him like a starving dog. If Leon hadn't stopped us, you might've pushed me hard enough to snap something."

"That's—!" Livia's cheeks flushed, her hands balling into fists. "who are you calling a starving dog" she said glaring at her sisters smug face.

"Leon!!" she protested, "Lara is bullying me just because she thinks she's stronger."

"I don't think I am, I am stronger," Lara said smugly, her crimson eyes glinting.

"You—!" Livia's cheeks flushed, her mouth opening to snap back—

But before she could finish, Leon suddenly leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers.

Her eyes went wide. Shock surged through her veins and she struggled instinctively, her hands pressing against his chest.

"Mmm—!" She tried to pull away, her body trembling from the sudden closeness. But then… she tasted it. The faint, coppery heat rolling across her tongue. It burned and soothed all at once, awakening something deep inside her.

Her resistance faltered. Her fists uncurled, gripping his shirt instead. Her legs felt weak, her mind hazy, like sparks of lightning were running through every vein.

When Leon finally pulled back, she stumbled a half-step, breathless. Her lips parted, her eyes dqazed. "W-what… what did you…?"

And then it happened.

Her pupils dilated, glowing faintly in the dim light. A surge of power rippled through her body, forcing her to gasp as warmth and strength poured into her limbs. The air itself seemed to thrum around her.

She heard the notification but she couldn't care less, Leon just kissed her. Livia's heart was pounding in her ears. Leon's lips had barely left hers, but the taste lingered. She didn't even think—her hand shot out, gripping his collar, and she pulled him back into another kiss.

This time she wasn't passive. Her tongue moved hungrily in his mouth desperately. Leon stiffened at first, then melted into it, his arm tightening around her waist.

Lara's crimson eyes widened, breath catching. "You two…" she muttered, but her voice trailed off, her fangs glinting in the low light as her chest rose and fell with quick breaths.

She could feel her body getting hot and a wetness accumulating between her legs, she wasn't just watching the kiss she could feel pleasure it gave her sister, courtesy of their connection to Leon.

She was dripping wet and unsurprisingly so was Livia.
