Chapter 13 - Chapter 11 >[ Longing for the Bad ]<

Ella didn't think she would miss bad luck, but in a virtual world that she now lived in, she almost missed stubbing her toe or accidentally knocking her drink over. It made her feel more human to have the pain and panic responses that her body had to things that weren't emergencies or life-threatening. She almost missed the occasional burnt toast or Soggy cereal. Seriously speaking, now that she had so much time, she couldn't help noticing the small imperfections that made reality feel so real. The virtual world was great, but in the end, it wasn't real. That's when she got a notification; apparently, she could get mail via the mail slot in the door. which meant between each game instance, she was probably gonna have to check it. She noticed it had a baby symbol on the letter itself as she opened it. She skimmed it as it notified her that a new app had appeared. Apparently, the company had been experimenting with an artificial womb and needed her consent to begin egg harvesting. Plus, she could select things like the genetic father, gender looks, or just go random. She looked through the options and couldn't find any guy that she fancied, so she just hit random. She watched as an egg was put into an artificial womb and sperm was randomly selected and inserted into it. She could see the progress on a little gadget like a Tamagotchi pet. guess she was a mother now.
