We begin this chapter with Hestia she just woke up ready to leave to do what she needed to do. So she brushed her teeth with a stick with a brush like end. Surprisingly this form of tooth brush didn't need toothpaste to help clean the teeth. The natural fibers and other properties the stick provides. Orion who wanted to know how teeth cleaning was possible in this world. Wondered what it was the stick Hestia and many others used. Scanning it he found his answer.
(A miswak a form of tooth brushed use in ancient times and some modern places. As it provided better cleaning then most tooth brushes. The only downside was the brush only lasted a couple days.)
Once Hestia finish washing freshing up for the early morning she went out side. Heading out side the church she started cooking food for the 4 marines that decided to stay with her. The first to come to the camp kitchen was tyranus. Being the person that was put on watch. He smelled something coming from the kitchen so he thought his brothers awoke and made food. Something all if not most of the dragons had in common is their love for food. They all had their favorites.
It was tradition for all the dragons to gather up on one big table to eat. Usually serfs or other servertors made the food. But on special occasions when it was with their father present he would make the foood. They would gather sing and cheer eat together and be merry. Knowing tomorrow might be their last or another day protecting their emporium. Hestia who was in the middle of making beef stew saw Tyranus come in.
Tyranus who had his helmet on couldn't tell who he was. "Good morning…uhm who are you? Sorry it is hard to tell you from your brothers when all of you look the same." Tyrannus expression stoic as ever even under a helmet. "It's me Tyrannus." Hestia hearing the name smiled brightly. "Ah Tyrannus come sit down at a table. I will put down your food and 3 other bowls for your brothers."
Humming a tune she went to the pot and started pouring scoops of beef stew in 5 bowls. Tyranus as he sat down the flap to the kitchen tent opened. In came his three brothers. "Sul, twins your up. Take a seat food is ready." The twins Kotan shenn and kotan ekshor both looked at Tyrannus and ask together. "You didn't make the food?" Tyranus just shook his head. They all sat down and began to remove their helmets. Once sul saw Hestia coming with 4 large bowls and one small bowl for herself. Sul got up and helped Hestia. Grabbing 2 of the bowls and quickly setting them down. He then grabbed the other 2 bowls and set them down.
Hestia took her seat and eagerly waited for her new children reaction to her food. The first reaction to her cooking was Sul. He had a small smile on his face. He and the twins were gobbling their food. Mean while Tyranus on the side look like the total opposite. Eating fast but clean like a nobleman. He got up and cleaned his dishes and his brothers when they came with theirs. Hestia was about to go wash hers when a notification came from her system. "The children of Hestia have cleared floors 1-17, rewards will now be given to Hestia." A long stream of notifications came to Hestia. Reading them all she nearly spat out her water. Once she composed herself she search through the rewards. 1 reward was given per level. The 1 reward was the ability to travel the dungeon levels that were cleared. This ability was something she loved and would use to go into the dungeon. She needed to see if this applies to other gods too.
The biggest and most eye catching reward was the reward after her Familia cleared level 10. It was an item called "The Throne of Hestia". This throne matched her size, It would give her a boost to her power in the mortal world. Allowing full use of her powers while in gekai. Meaning complete control over all flames, Being able to feel the warmth of all homes and their locations. To see all that reside in her homes. over seeing home meals and how well a home is.
This reward gave her a complete new idea of what they should build for their Familia home. However they still needed to get the land, building equipment and materials to make their home. Lucky enough for Hestia one of the problems was going to be solved. One of the rewards for clearing the levels was building materials. Granted it was only marble and other hard rocks and stones but great still. After her little skimming over her rewards she looked at tyranus and his squad. "Let's head out and get our self a location for our Familia home!" She shouted with new enthusiasm wanting to get their new home built or in the process before Orion comes back. So with new vigor she rushed off to get Hephaestus for some of the help.
Tyranus marching ahead of Hestia flanked on his right and left by the twins. Behide them and Hestia is Sul who was best at helping guarding the rear. Making their way through the streets of Orario to get to Hephaestus office. When they weaved through the streets they caught the eye of many of the people. Most of them seeing the marines for the first time. While yes some saw them in the morning most didn't see them since it was quite early in the morning. Now it being broad daylight the people of Orario were now seeing them all for the first time. The dragon marines a force to be reckon with. Each normal marine the level of a level 3 adventure. But the Dragon marines being slightly stronger are closer to level 4 but still level 3. Hestia decided to head into the office alone. The Dragons guarded the door like it lead to their keep.
Once Hestia got to the door of Hephaestus office she knocked. [KNOCK] [KNOCK] "Come in." Hephaestus said from within her office. Hestia hearing this wasted no time in opening the door. Smiling at Hephaestus Hestia told her with excitement. "Guess what i got from this system." Hephaestus who was in the middle of paper work got curious. "What did you get?" Hestia then open the widow Infront of her and showed her the rewards. "I only got theses, but think of all the possible rewards i could get when Orion clears the entire dungeon. Think about it Hephaestus what we could do if this system gives us more rewards. We could probably stop anyone form trying anything on our Familias. Even the slimy freya would think twice before messing with us. She might not mess with me due to Orions brother but, You! She might risk it if it ment she gets something worth it. So having extra measures to protect you will be helpful." The goddess Hestia is referring to is obviously freya. She is also right but not entirely. While yes freya will be smart and not mess with Hestia. Most likely targeting people outside the protection of Rick. This will never happen due to Hephaestus not having anything of value she wants. So Hephaestus is safe as Hestia maybe safer.
Right now the one freya has her sights on is Orion. Not because she likes him (she doesn't) but because what he offers. He said he knows what she is looking for. And he does but he brings new worlds to her eyes. Along with his sons. Making her see the their might be new possibilities with his world. So for now she will wait and see.
Back to Hestia and Hephaestus "You might be right. It might be better to have barrier between us and our enemies." Hephaestus seeing this as the best option due to having Rick's eyes on her and Orions "Mother". Not know his so called mother is another void being. After a long discussion of how to handle the rewards. They came up with a brilliant solution of not telling anyone. Leaving it all to the other gods to figure it out. Hestia did decide to use one of the rewards. One of them was the ability to control the warmth of home. Doing this she made everyone in orario have warm homes to come back to. Everyone now when coming back home felt truly at home. Relaxed and at peace. They then set off to find a location to build Hestia's Familia home.
