I let her go, groaning in response. She wasn't talking to me because I didn't buy her that? I could have guessed. Of course, it was just a few days ago that she reminded me of it, and I had promised her once again. However, I had failed.
It wasn't done intentionally. I had completely forgotten about it. Being an Alpha to a pack house like this could make you forget a lot of things, including the fact that you once vowed to be a doting father.
I wouldn't say I wasn't one because I genuinely was. I cherished Amber. She was all that I had left of Elizabeth. The only person who reminded me of her was by merely looking at her. Well, aside from Aria. Still, I delegated most of my duties to Sophia. She said she could take care of her on my behalf. And because Sophia was good with kids, Amber didn't mind being around her.
