ATLAS
Alpha Igor sat still briefly, his brows creased, and I saw the instant confusion that crossed his face. No one said anything between us. The silence was suffocating and uneasy, but I didn't let it get to me.
Alpha Igor cleared his throat, breaking the silence. "What are you talking about?" he asked, sitting up straight.
I snickered. I expected this—such an outstanding performance from someone like him. I didn't think he'd come clean about taking Aria from the prison. Of course, I needed to press harder.
"One of my prisoners. You took her," I simply said.
"He did?" It was Kaiden's turn to exclaim, and he rose to his feet, slamming his palm on the table. I suppose he already knew who I was talking about. After all, the only prisoner with the highest priority that could make me as concerned as this was Aria.
Kaiden started to move toward Alpha Igor, who looked more confused by the second. I gripped his hand, stopping him.
"Sit," I ordered.
