I bit back a curse, my fingers still clenched around the bars of the prison. Aria was kidnapped, which was absolutely my fault after killing all the guards.
Now the prisoner had escaped with about ten fucking guards on duty. How the fuck was it possible that someone could pass by without anyone noticing?!
I growled, turning to Elias, who had a clueless look on his face. Kaiden chuckled, shaking his head.
"This gets more and more ridiculous," he murmured. "With how experienced your guards are, I was expecting nothing could get past them."
He turned to me with eyes blazing. "How then is it possible for that weakling to get away without anyone being notified? The same way Aria was taken without anyone noticing!"
"Damn it, Kaiden!" I hissed. Was this really the time to scold me on my incompetence?
I turned away from him to face Elias, shoving my fingers through my hair. "Call everyone on duty. I need to know what happened and who I'm holding accountable for this slip."
