Alex stepped outside, and Seth, confused, followed him out of the house. Alex got into the car and instructed Seth to drive.
"What are you trying to figure out?" Seth asked as he started the engine.
"I'm going to find out if I'm pregnant or not. Let's go to Miles Hospital, not Dawson Hospital, and contact Theo once we get there," Alex replied.
Just as the car began to roll forward, Seth abruptly slammed on the brakes, the sudden jolt causing Alex to lurch forward, narrowly avoiding a collision with the front seat...
"Huh! Pregnant! What do you—" Seth exclaimed.
"Calm down. I'm not saying that I am; it's just...
...I don't know..." Alex interrupted, his feelings swirling like the autumn leaves caught in the wind, struggling to articulate the anxiety that had taken hold of him.
*Sigh*
"Haaahh... Fine, let's get you to the hospital first," Seth said, shaking his head but grasping the situation. He thought that there was no point in overreacting...
After a few moments of contemplation, Seth finally relaxed his grip on the steering wheel, his expression shifting from shock to concern.
"Are you sure?", He asked, his voice softer now...
"Do you get the gravity of this situation?"
"What are you gonna do if you really are pregnant?"
Alex took a deep breath, feeling the weight of Seth's questions.
"I... I need to know first, then I can figure everything else out," he replied, his voice gaining a hint of resolve.
"But right now, the uncertainty is eating me alive."
Seth nodded, trying to process both Alex's emotions and the potential reality they were facing.
"Okay, let's just focus on getting to the hospital first. We can deal with everything else after that.",
He shifted the car back into gear, determination shining in his eyes as they pulled away from the curb.
On the way, Seth dialed Theo's number as they drove. The phone rang a couple of times before Theo picked up.
"Seth? What's up?" Theo's voice came through, a mix of friendliness.
"Hey, Theo. It's urgent. Can you meet us at Miles Hospital? Alex needs to get checked," Seth replied, keeping his tone steady.
"Sure, what's going on?" Theo asked, a hint of worry creeping into his voice.
"I'll explain when we get there. Just... please be ready, okay?" Seth said, glancing at Alex, who was staring out the window, deep in thought.
"Got it. I'll be waiting," Theo responded before hanging up.
Seth felt a wave of relief wash over him as he ended the call. "Theo's on his way. He'll meet us there."
Alex nodded, a flicker of appreciation in his eyes.
"Thanks, Seth."
Although the tension in the air didn't completely vanish, having a friend like Theo involved provided a bit of comfort, even on a day when Theo was off from work.
As they continued toward the hospital, Seth focused on the road ahead.
The uncertainty still loomed heavily over them, but Seth remained determined to be there for his friend, no matter what lay ahead.
Once they got to the Hospital, both of them went straight to the elevator to get to the topmost floor, where Theo was.
#Alex, Seth, and Theo have been close friends since middle school. Theo, a Beta, was friends with Alex even before Alex became an Omega.
As they arrived, they spotted Theo anxiously pacing back and forth, concern etched across his face as he waited for them.
The moment Theo spotted them approaching, he propelled himself forward.
"What happened?" Theo exclaimed, his voice tinged with concern. "What on earth happened?..."
Unlike Seth, Theo was someone who couldn't remain calm during problems. He tended to overthink and often jumped to conclusions on his own.
Theo's worry intensified after high school, especially since Alex had turned into an Omega. He and Seth had vowed to protect Alex.
Seeing Theo and Seth so concerned only made Alex feel more grateful. Alex explained everything to Theo which got Theo even more tense.
"...With whom did you say you slept with!..." Theo asked Alex again to confirm what he had heard was right.
"...Lucas..." Alex said, his head down as he fiddled with his fingers, as if he had made the most grievous mistake.
"Out of all people.... It had to be him!!!..." Theo was complaining to Alex about his actions.
While all this Seth was there standing on the side, as if he knew this was gonna happen.
"Haaahh... Let's get you checked... I can't confirm through your pulse since it hasn't been long since you had sex."
"Please collect a sample of your urine in this container and take it to the lab. On your way back here, I will inform them that you are coming," Theo said.
Alex stood up and left the room.
"Now tell me, what has Alex been up to these days?" asked Theo to Seth after confirming that Alex had left.
