Chapter 142 - Resurrection and Re-Cultivation

Inside the library, complex lines wrapped around Bai Ye's body, then suddenly tightened under the Ancient One's command.

Millions of strands of spatial force—capable of cutting through anything—easily tore Bai Ye's body apart. Blood sprayed everywhere, dyeing the surroundings completely red.

Even with Bai Ye's astonishing healing ability, there was no way for a body reduced to mere fragments of cells to survive.

As the portal faded, only a pool of splattered blood was left behind. Throughout the entire process, Bai Ye didn't resist at all and died completely.

The Ancient One, still in her gray robe, silently looked at the puddle of blood. Then she turned around and returned to reality.

"Master, where's Bai Ye?" Tividi asked curiously when he saw the Ancient One return alone.

"He needs to stay in there a little longer," the Ancient One replied calmly.

At the moment Bai Ye turned into a pool of blood in the Mirror Dimension—whether body or consciousness—everything entered eternal silence. But this was part of his plan.

Although Bai Ye's physical form was completely destroyed, the concept-based Status Panel and the Chat Group did not disappear.

Or rather, according to their judgment, Bai Ye was not considered truly "gone."

In the chat group, Bai Ye's avatar dimmed, showing he was offline, but—unlike the previous Omniscient Great Immortal—it was not stripped of admin privileges.

After all, countless beings across the worlds possessed resurrection abilities. In the chat group's system, Bai Ye was still expected to revive; naturally, he wouldn't vanish like the previous admin.

Still, the dimmed avatar caught everyone's attention. Yue Buqun stared at Bai Ye's darkened icon in shock.

This scene reminded him of the previous admin's death and he began to suspect that the admin position was a high-risk job.

But he quickly noticed something different: Bai Ye had not been stripped of his role or kicked out of the group. Something was clearly different this time.

Status Panel:

Your physical body has been completely destroyed by spatial threads. The concept of "Death" begins eroding your form.Your spirit falls into eternal silence.

Strength reduced by 100%; Strength cap +1.7%, lasts 35 hours, permanent +0.1

Constitution reduced by 100%; Constitution cap +2.8%, lasts 19 hours, permanent +0.1

Spirit reduced by 100%; Spirit cap +2.6%, lasts 17 hours, permanent +0.1

While Bai Ye was unable to perceive anything, lines of text fluctuated within the description panel—exactly the phenomenon he wanted to test.

Although the Ancient One had said that whatever killed him would make him stronger, words alone weren't enough. Without experience, Bai Ye still felt it was uncertain.

So, he decided to die once—within a controllable range.

And since the Ancient One held the Time Stone, if the attribute panel failed to revive him, she could still resurrect him afterward.

As for trusting the Ancient One? Bai Ye had confidence in her. If she wanted him dead, she would've killed him back when he was weak. There was no reason to wait until now.

And so, the puddle of Bai Ye lay silently in the Mirror Dimension.

One second… one minute… one hour…

By the 17th hour, Bai Ye's Spirit had increased by 0.1. In that moment, his soul briefly emerged—only to dissipate again due to having no body.

Two hours later, Bai Ye's Constitution increased by 0.1. Immediately after this attribute refreshed, Bai Ye's crystal-clear body reformed within the Mirror Dimension.

It was still perfect, just like before death—but unlike before, his consciousness had not returned to the body yet. At the moment, he was like a vegetable; he still needed time to recover.

Meanwhile, as Bai Ye revived, the Ancient One—who was teaching magic at Kamar-Taj—paused slightly, then revealed a satisfied smile.

And in the chat group, even though Bai Ye's mind hadn't returned, his avatar lit up again. The group collectively sighed in relief.

Thirty-four hours later, Bai Ye's Spirit increased by another 0.1, and his consciousness finally returned to his body.

He opened his eyes and blinked lightly. His gaze quickly changed from dazed to sharp. The moment he regained awareness, he immediately opened his status panel.

Seeing how his Constitution increased by 0.1 and Spirit by 0.2 over the past few days—along with the description text—a faint smile appeared on Bai Ye's lips.

"I really have become immortal," Bai Ye murmured, unable to suppress the upward curl of his lips. The greatest limitation in his heart had completely disappeared.

He examined his body carefully, trying to see what had changed.

He soon discovered that the thousands of years of true qi he had cultivated were completely gone because of this death. However, his Hollowfication ability remained, and his meridians were intact.

Of course, everything stored in the Hollow Space had disappeared along with his previous body.

So the panel doesn't preserve cultivated internal energy? And Hollowfication stayed because the mutant gene counts as part of my body?

Bai Ye felt slightly disappointed. Internal energy was useful for daily support, so he sat cross-legged and resumed cultivating using Everyone Can Train 3.0.

The next moment, wind stirred within the Mirror Dimension despite no breeze.

Bai Ye's previously dispersed inner power surged rapidly.

Purple qi billowed around him like dry ice, slowly sinking. Tide-like inner energy coursed through his meridians.

A single wisp of inner power equaled ten nights of cultivation for a normal person—and with Bai Ye's talent, he generated 100 wisps per second.

In other words, every second produced nearly three years of inner power. His dantian filled at a terrifying pace.

After about ten minutes of meditation, Bai Ye had easily accumulated over a thousand years of inner power. Feeling satisfied with restoring roughly one third of his previous qi, he slowly stood up.

With a wave of his right hand, a passage to the outside world opened. Bai Ye stepped out and casually grabbed a set of clothes from a nearby shop to put on.

He opened the chat group. It was filled with messages asking about his safety. After thinking for a moment, he sent a reply.

[Deep Blue]:I was running an experiment these past few days. I've revived. No big deal.

"Revived?" Everyone in the group stared in astonishment. So their guess had been correct—Bai Ye had really died earlier.
