Chapter 229 - Stupid and Crazy

"But... you are unfair, Nifuji-san."

Tsukiko looked at Nifuji helplessly. "I thought that you would try to stop Rui."

Yes, in the beginning, she thought that Nifuji would try to support her, trying to stop Rui from chasing her dream as a chef, but unfortunately, she was the one who was swayed.

"All work is difficult anyway, so instead of choosing the one that she hates and has regret, it is better to let her choose the one that she likes, especially when the potential income is much better than working in a normal company like others. No, if Rui really works under the company like everyone, can you imagine she will live well with her personality?"

"...you are right." Tsukiko sighed helplessly, especially when she thought about how stone-faced Rui was, and if Rui really worked under a company like everyone, she could imagine that Rui would live a miserable life, and frankly, Rui wouldn't gain any promotions at all!

Then, after that, Rui might quit her job, marry a normal man, who somehow did domestic violence to her, and get divorced, ending up as a single mother.

When Tsukiko thought about all of that, it felt like becoming a chef was good, especially when Rui had a certain talent in that area, and if Rui worked hard to get many licenses that she could get after graduating from a culinary school, even if she wouldn't make her own restaurant, she could work in many places, as the culinary industry was one of the biggest industries in the world.

"More importantly..."

"More importantly?"

"My company is investing in the oyster of Matsushima, so even if she can't find a job, she can work at my company."

"That's great!" Tsukiko was happy, as she had no need to worry about Rui's future. "Rui, go to culinary school!"

"....."

Rui was speechless, as everything had been decided, even though it was also a good thing, as she had no need to worry about anything. Yes, the method might be different from what she imagined, as she was thinking of working under her "real father" restaurant, yet when she heard Nifuji's explanations, she would be lying if she wasn't curious about the development of the cuisine in the world.

How has technology changed cuisine?

While her father might be able to teach her the old-fashioned way and tradition, Rui knew that for innovation, she had to develop it in her own way, and where was the best place to do it besides school?

In the school, she could do anything without worry, but if she worked under her father, she had to follow the rules.

While it wasn't bad to work under her father, as the tradition was still in place, it limited her options when there were many paths open to her.

More importantly—

"I look forward to working with you, Rui."

With a gentle smile on his face, Nifuji said those words.

"..."

Rui felt her heart was beating so fast, and her face was so hot!

Yet, she bit her lower lip, trying to endure the reaction that was about to come as she nodded. "Y-Yes... Hirotaka-nii-san..."

"..." Nifuji.

Why did Rui call him "Nii-san"?

It was because Rui knew it would give him a thrill, and she would be lying if she wasn't interested in this play.

As for Akihito and Hina, they just stayed in the background as they knew that this conversation was just too high-level for them, and it was better to just leave it to Nifuji, who was capable.

Yes, they might be adults, but Akihito was just a normal salaryman, and Hina was a civil servant teacher.

The two of them might be respectable adults, but even so, their path was just too boring and normal, and they knew well that with their experience, it was impossible to help Rui.

"But oysters?" Hina looked at Nifuji curiously as she looked at his lower body, as she often heard that oysters would boost stamina.

"...." Nifuji.

"Yes, I plan to bring it to Tokyo, and import it to Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, London, and Shanghai."

It wasn't that the world of oysters, but without a doubt, everyone wanted to try it at least once, especially when it was the famous Matsushima oysters.

More importantly, he had the "Delicious" ability he inherited from Rui, which worked like natural MSG, making it taste more delicious than others.

Yes, the importance of advertising was high, but if the product was shitty, then it was impossible.

Still, he had no need to worry about the quality, as he knew that his oysters would become the best.

"Wow, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, New York, London!" Hina's eyes shone brightly. "I want to go there, too!"

"You can, but can you even take a break from your school work?"

"....." Hina.

Yes, as a civil servant, her working hours were rigid; it was so rigid that she couldn't practically take a holiday unless it was necessary.

"But... if I can, we can go on a trip?"

"I don't mind, but make up your mind where you want to go first."

"Yay~!"

"HINA, DON'T BE SO SELFISH! NIFUJI-SAN HAS WORK, TOO!"

"...can I join, too?" Rui suddenly asked.

"Sure."

"Thank you, Hirotaka-niisan."

Rui smiled softly as her tongue was quite playful.

"..." Nifuji.

He knew that it was wrong, yet when he thought of that night, which he shared with the two sisters, he knew well that the experience was impossible to forget, and when he thought of the foreign trip with the two sisters, he knew well that it would be something that was out of his imagination.

"You two..."

Tsukiko was helpless, yet inwardly, she felt jealous, but it was good that her two daughters were happy, as she didn't want them to have the same experience as her.

Yet, all of a sudden—

"It's all good, and all, but can you marry Hina-nee?"

Natsuo, who had been silent, suddenly spoke.

"Natsuo, what are you saying?!" Akihito was startled and tried to stop Natsuo.

"Stop pretending like you are a saint! You just want to play with Hina-nee, right? After all, you are a married man!"

Natsuo hadn't given up!

If he couldn't get anything, then he would destroy everything!
