Outside HYDRA's secret Base in the North Pole.
A blizzard raged, reducing visibility to less than five meters. The Blackbird jet hovered above a glacial crevice, its engine's roar swallowed by the gale.
"The temperature is minus 45 degrees Celsius, and the wind speed is 20 meters per second," Beast Hank's voice came through the comms. "Everyone, this isn't a normal blizzard—there's a weather control device on the Base's periphery."
Wolverine, cigar in mouth, exhaled a puff of white mist: "Who cares what kind of device it is, I'll just tear it apart."
Cyclops adjusted his visor: "Logan, don't be impulsive. Professor Charles Xavier said this operation must be clean and swift."
Storm stood by the hatch, her golden pupils reflecting the swirling snow: "I can feel it...the electromagnetic field in this area has been artificially distorted."
Jean closed her eyes, sensing: "There are life signs in the Base, but they're very weak...like they're being suppressed by something."
"Operation commence," Professor Charles Xavier's voice came through the psychic link. "Remember, our primary goal is to rescue our imprisoned Mutant brethren."
The Blackbird jet slowly descended onto the glacier. As the hatch opened, biting cold wind instantly poured in.
Wolverine was the first to leap out, his Adamantium claws leaving deep marks in the snow: "Stay close to me."
HYDRA's perimeter defenses seemed lax, but the X-Men all knew—this was the calm before the Storm.
"Thermal scan shows twelve guards at the main entrance," Beast Hank reported in a low voice. "But strangely...their vital signs are abnormally stable, almost like robots."
Jean frowned: "Someone is controlling them?"
Storm's fingertips crackled with electricity: "Should I paralyze their communication system first?"
"No, wait," Cyclops suddenly raised his hand. "Professor Charles Xavier, can you sense the situation inside the Base?"
Professor Charles Xavier, far away at X-Mansion, frowned deeply: "My telepathy is being interfered with...there's some kind of shielding device in the Base."
Wolverine sneered: "Then we'll just fight our way in directly."
"No!" Jean grabbed him, "If we act rashly, HYDRA might destroy the test subjects!"
Just then, the main gate of the Base suddenly opened with a 'hum'.
The X-Men instantly went into combat stance—but there was no one behind the door, only a deep, dark corridor with flickering lights.
"A trap?" Beast Hank vigilantly scanned the surroundings.
Jean's pupils glowed faintly red: "No...it's an invitation."
At the end of the corridor, a screen suddenly lit up—
"Welcome, X-Men."
On the screen, a blurry figure sat in the shadows, their voice electronically processed: "You're 20 minutes later than expected."
Wolverine's claws extended: "Playing games!"
The projection continued: "If you want to save those Mutants...keep going forward. Remember, time is running out."
Before he finished speaking, the projection suddenly switched to a live surveillance feed—
Inside the frozen experimental capsules, dozens of Mutants were trapped in stasis pods, their vital signs rapidly declining!
"Damn it!" Storm roared, and a furious gust of wind instantly swept through the corridor. "They're slaughtering our brethren!"
Cyclops immediately ordered: "Jean, you and Storm go destroy the weather control device! Logan, Hank, come with me to the experimental area!"
— — — —
The metal door of the laboratory twisted and deformed with a loud bang, as Cyclops's thermal ray precisely pierced the riot helmets of two guards.
Beast Hank let out a low growl, his claws tearing through the tactical armor of a third guard, blood splattering across the control panel screen.
"Life support systems are collapsing!" Beast Hank's claws rapidly swiped across the interface. "If they're not restarted within thirty seconds, all experimental capsules will enter permanent cryogenic status!"
Wolverine's nostrils flared slightly, the smell of blood mixed with a pungent chemical Agent. He spun around abruptly, his Adamantium claws 'clang' blocking an incoming dagger—the blade was only three centimeters from his throat.
"HYDRA's toy?" Logan sneered, his muscles tensing as he flung the attacker against the wall. The shadow flipped in mid-air and landed, a metal faceplate covering his face.
"Winter Soldier?" Beast Hank's scanner emitted an alarm. "Bucky Barnes? No, not him, it's other Winter Soldiers."
A voice came from beneath the shadow's faceplate: "Order confirmed: Execute Mutants."
At the same time, the metal dome of the top-floor weather control room suddenly became covered in frost. Just as Storm condensed lightning, the entire ceiling collapsed with a roar—
"Bobby?!" Storm's cry was drowned out by the ice crystal Storm. Iceman, suspended in the center of the shattered ice, his eyes glowing with an eerie purple light, a cold current forming a hurricane around him.
Jean's red hair froze in the low temperature, and she struggled to deploy a psychic barrier: "It doesn't seem to be brainwashing, I can't affect Bobby!"
Iceman slowly raised his hand, and countless ice shards condensed in the air. Behind him, the emergency lights of the weather control room were extinguishing one by one.

Sokovia · Safe House
The projection in front of Chen Tian showed the chaotic battle at the North Pole Base in real time.
2B reported softly: "Master, Winter Soldier and Iceman have intervened."
Madara's figure emerged from the shadows: "Professor Charles Xavier is attempting to break through the psychic shield."
"Let him try," Chen Tian chuckled. "The metal we secretly slipped into the North Pole Base to block telepathy is no joke."
He looked at another screen—Magneto's figure was appearing on the North Pole border!
"Oh ~ Mr. Magneto has arrived," Chen Tian sat up straight. "Things are getting interesting."
— — — —
The metal walls were condensing frost in the extreme cold, and the alarm of the experimental capsules was shrill and piercing.
Three Winter Soldiers moved like ghosts in the shadows, while Wolverine, who should have been the main force against them, was roaring on the ceiling.
"Strucker...you despicable bastard!" Logan roared, his muscles bulging as he struggled on a huge, powerful electromagnet.
"Hank! Watch your left!" Cyclops warned loudly, but it was too late.
Beast Hank was slammed with immense force into the control panel, his back hitting the metal panel heavily, and the instruments sparked with dazzling electrical flashes.
"Ugh!" The usually gentle scholar let out a cry of pain, his glasses already shattered in the battle. Now he could only rely on his Beast instincts to contend with two well-trained assassins.
"Target locked: Mutant sample, codename: Beast," one of the Winter Soldiers announced mechanically, a dagger stabbing at Beast Hank's ribs at a tricky angle.
Hank barely managed to dodge, but a second dagger had already cut his shoulder, and blood immediately soaked his blue fur.
Cyclops was in an even more difficult situation on the other side. He constantly adjusted the energy output of his visor, but he could never find an opportunity to fire his optic blast.
The Winter Soldier in front of him was like a persistent shadow; every time he tried to create distance, the opponent would press closer with even more aggressive attacks.
Scott's tactical vest had already been ripped in several places, and blood beads continuously seeped from the wound on his forehead.
"Professor Charles Xavier...we need backup..." Hank struggled to transmit the message through the psychic link, while rolling to dodge a fatal blow.
But the Winter Soldiers' coordination was seamless. Just as he got up, a heavy punch from a mechanical arm was already whistling towards him.
Cyclops suddenly stumbled, his cheek slashed by a long knife.
"Scott!" Beast Hank exclaimed, only to see his comrade brought to his knees by an elbow strike.
The Winter Soldier's metal boot stomped heavily on Cyclops's back, pressing his face into the cold ground.
"Life sign scan shows target incapacitated," a cold electronic voice announced the verdict.
Hank watched helplessly as the third Winter Soldier raised his gun, aiming at Scott's back...
The entire laboratory suddenly shook violently, and the metal walls groaned under the strain.
"Boom!!!"
The alloy ceiling of the laboratory was torn open by a terrifying force!
Cold wind mixed with ice and snow poured in. A figure in a dark red cape floated in mid-air, surrounded by metal fragments like subservient guards.
Behind him were Iceman Bobby, bound by countless pieces of metal, and Jean and Storm, who watched Erik with wary expressions.
Erik's gaze swept across the laboratory, finally settling on the huge screen in the huge laboratory.
"HYDRA..." His voice suppressed a towering rage. "You dare to...research my brethren so wantonly?"
He slowly raised his hand—
"Crack!"
The adsorption device instantly twisted and deformed, and Wolverine fell heavily to the ground.
Logan rolled to his feet, Adamantium claws extended: "Erik?! You damn—"
"Shut up, Logan," Magneto coldly interrupted him, and with a flick of his finger—
The mechanical arms of the three Winter Soldiers suddenly twisted uncontrollably, gripping their own necks tightly!
"Tell Strucker..." Magneto's cape flapped in the strong wind. "The rage of the Mutants...has only just begun."
Chen Tian stared at the scene of Magneto wreaking havoc in the projection, the smile on his lips deepening.
"Master," 2B reminded softly, "Magneto's intervention was unexpected."
"No, this is perfect," Chen Tian leisurely pulled the tab of a soda can. "The angrier Erik gets, the harder it will be for Professor Charles Xavier to clean up."
He looked at another screen—S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Quinjet was breaking through the clouds.
"Erik is also a very good Adjudicator."
Magneto's metal Storm swept through the entire laboratory. The control panel sparked with a piercing electrical sound, and the life support system finally stopped its countdown.
The emergency lights of the experimental capsules relit, and the faint heartbeats of the trapped Mutants gradually stabilized.
"The system is off!" Beast Hank gasped, clutching his bleeding shoulder. "But ten more seconds, and they would have—"
"Where's Strucker?" Wolverine Logan looked around irritably, his Adamantium claws flashing cold light in the air. "That bastard couldn't have just run off!"
Jean's telepathy swept across the entire Base: "No life signs...He had already prepared an escape route."
Storm held Iceman Bobby, who was bound by metal. The purple light in his eyes had faded, but his expression was still dazed: "What did they do to him...?"
She didn't notice that in Bobby's dazed eyes, a barely visible tomoe was completely disappearing.
Magneto Erik hovered in mid-air. "HYDRA's scientists escaped quickly...but they couldn't take everything."
Just then, the roar of an engine came from outside the Base.
"Someone's here." Cyclops Scott barely stood up, covering the blood on his face with a torn sleeve. "It's not HYDRA's plane..."
"It's S.H.I.E.L.D.," Jean frowned. "Fury came himself."
Three S.H.I.E.L.D. Quinjets landed on the blizzard-ravaged glacier, and as the hatch opened, Fury's black trench coat flapped in the cold wind.
His single eye swept over the outer wall of the Base, torn apart by Magneto, and he frowned slightly. Coulson hurried to catch up, holding an energy detector in his hand, and reported in a low voice: "Officer, the energy readings are abnormal. The X-Men and Magneto are both inside."
Fury snorted coldly: "The old guys on the World Security Council were right. The damage caused by Mutants has indeed exceeded expectations." He pressed the communicator, "All units, stay alert and act according to the plan."
As they stepped into the Base corridor, they ran into the X-Men who were evacuating. Wolverine stood at the forefront, his claws still retracted, his eyes vigilantly fixed on Fury: "S.H.I.E.L.D.? This is none of your business."
"According to the special resolution of the World Security Council," Fury's voice was devoid of emotion, "all of HYDRA's research data on human evolution plans will be taken over by S.H.I.E.L.D."
Wolverine's claws popped out again: "Dream on! These are all experimental data of our Mutant brethren!"
"Logan!" Beast pressed his shoulder, "This is the agreement I reached with the Council before the operation." He lowered his voice, "Without this condition, we wouldn't have gotten authorization for this operation at all."
Cyclops wiped the blood from his face, his visor flashing with dangerous red light: "Fury, this data concerns the lives of dozens of Mutants."
Fury motioned expressionlessly, and a dozen fully armed Agents behind him immediately dispersed, starting to collect data terminals in the laboratory. Coulson walked to the main console and inserted a data extraction device.
"Don't worry, X-Men," Fury said, "S.H.I.E.L.D. will conduct a humanitarian evaluation of this data."
All the X-Men fell silent, because what Fury said was nonsense, and no one believed it, but what could they do? Charles was determined to have Mutants and humans live in peace, even willing to be a loyal dog to the World Security Council, and as Charles's subordinates, could they stop it?
"Officer," Coulson's communicator suddenly let out a piercing alarm, "World Security Council highest level communication request."
Fury's single eye narrowed slightly, and after pressing the answer button, his expression visibly darkened. After the communication ended, he slowly turned around, his gaze sweeping over every X-Man present.
"Attention all," Fury's voice was like a frozen lake, "World Security Council emergency resolution: Immediately arrest Erik Lehnsherr, on charges including crimes against humanity, terrorist attacks, and war crimes." He paused, "And all X-Men are required to cooperate with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s actions."
The entire laboratory instantly fell silent. Wolverine cursed, "Bullshit! Erik just saved our lives!"
The X-Men slowly moved their bodies, standing between Fury and Erik.
As the atmosphere grew increasingly tense, Charles's voice echoed in the X-Men's minds, filled with heavy weariness:
"Execute the order."
Wolverine Logan's claws retracted sharply, his eyes widened in disbelief, suspecting he had misheard.
"Charles?!" Beast Hank questioned in the psychic link, "Erik just saved us! The Mutant children in those experimental pods—"
"I know." Charles's voice was weak, "But if we resist now, S.H.I.E.L.D. will immediately list the X-Men as hostile targets. Mutants can't afford any more wars."
Lightning flashed in Storm Ororo's eyes, and she stared intently at Fury, her voice suppressing her anger: "So we just let them take Erik like this?"
"No." Charles's voice suddenly became firm, "But we need time. Trust me, everything... is for the Mutants."
"Bullshit!"
Logan threw his cigar fiercely to the ground, and his Adamantium claws popped out.
"Charles, even though I've been annoyed with this old Magneto for a long time," he hunched his back, like a Beast poised to strike, his claws at his sides, "but when have the X-Men ever done anything to repay kindness with enmity?"
The entire glacier fell silent. Storm's lightning crackled restlessly in the clouds, Beast's fur stood on end, and even Jean's eyes widened in shock—this was the first time Logan had openly defied Charles's orders.
Magneto slowly turned his head, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly: "Interesting."
"Shut up," Logan spat, his claws slicing through the air, "I'm not doing this for you."
His muscles tensed, "Listen, I'll help you fight your way out, and then we're even for today's events!"
Fury's single eye narrowed dangerously: "Logan, you know the consequences of doing this."
"To hell with the consequences!" Wolverine suddenly erupted, all six claws simultaneously striking the nearest Quinjet. Amidst the loud tearing of metal, he turned and roared at Magneto: "What are you standing there for? Waiting for me to carry you?!"
This roar was like a thunderclap. Magneto suddenly burst into laughter, his cape flapping wildly in the suddenly surging magnetic field: "Charles, your wolf cub is more interesting than you!"
All S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents' weapons simultaneously flew out of their hands, twisting into scrap metal in the air.
"X-Men! If you don't stop them, the World Security Council will abolish the Superhuman Registration Act. Do you want to invalidate all the efforts Professor Charles Xavier and Hank have made and become sewer rats hunted by the whole World again?!" Fury shouted angrily. "If you don't care, then just watch those two idiots fight their way out!"
Fury's threat was like an arrow, piercing deeply into the heart of every X-Man.
"Charles..." Jean's voice trembled in the psychic link, "Do we really have to do this?"
Professor X's voice was weary, but firm: "Trust me, Jean. This is the only way to save the Xavier Institute."
Lightning flashed in Storm Ororo's eyes, and she slowly raised her hands, dark clouds gathering overhead: "Erik... I'm sorry..."
"Ororo." Magneto's voice was calm, metal shards forming a defensive barrier around him, "Do what you want to do."
A lightning bolt struck down, but was deflected by the metal barrier. Ororo's voice trembled slightly: "I'm sorry, Erik, everything is for the Mutants."
Cyclops Scott silently adjusted his visor, his eyes behind the ruby quartz lenses filled with pain: "Logan, move."
Wolverine stood in front of Magneto, his claws crossed over his chest: "Come on, four-eyes! See if your laser can pierce my bones!"
"Enough!" Charles's voice suddenly exploded in everyone's mind, a powerful psychic shock making Logan stagger. It was this momentary lapse—
"Bang!"
Beast Hank lunged from the side, slamming Logan hard into the ice wall. Adamantium claws carved deep grooves in the ice.
"Hank! Even you—" Logan's words were cut short by a heavy punch.
Hank's Beast eyes flickered: "I'm sorry, old friend... for those children.."
The metal Storm around Magneto grew more violent, but his expression was surprisingly calm: "Charles... you've finally made your choice."
He suddenly raised his hand, and the entire Base's metal structure began to twist and deform. The S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents retreated in horror, even Fury's expression changed.
Just as Magneto's metal Storm was about to engulf the entire Base—
"Swish!"
A quiet blue blade of light sliced through the air, as if tearing reality itself. Followed by a second, a third... countless blade lights intertwined into a net within the metal Storm, cutting all the deadly metal fragments to pieces.
A figure in a deep blue hooded trench coat appeared in the center of the battlefield at some point. He wore a silver-white metal mask, and in his right hand he held a peculiarly shaped katana, its blade wrapped in a strange blue energy.
"Who is it?!" Wolverine Logan immediately went into a combat stance, his keen sense of smell unable to detect any scent—this You-Know-Who was as if he didn't exist in this World.
The corner of his mouth under the hood curved slightly upward: "The one who saves you."
Fury's single eye suddenly constricted: "Everyone back! That's—"
Before he finished speaking, Vergil had already swung his sword at the void. A huge spatial rift opened before him, twisted light flickering within.
"Follow me." He stepped into the rift without looking back, "Unless you want to continue being the Council's running dogs."
Magneto Erik floated in mid-air, looking at the X-Men, then at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents gathering in the distance, and finally his gaze fell on the spatial rift.
"Charles..." His voice was low and dangerous, "It seems someone understands Mutant dignity better than you."
With that, he flew into the rift without hesitation. Wolverine Logan spat a bloody mouthful, and gave Cyclops the middle finger: "Tell Charles, I quit!" Then he leaped in.
The rift began to slowly close. Vergil stood at the entrance, his katana held horizontally across his chest. When Jean tried to stop it with her telekinesis, the blade trembled slightly, and all psychic energy was cut off.
"Don't waste your efforts," his voice was mocking, "your choice will eventually come at a price."
As the last flash of blade light passed, the spatial rift completely disappeared, leaving behind only twisted metal fragments and the stunned X-Men and S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents.

Sokovia.
Chen Tian placed the cola on the table, stood up, and straightened his clothes, "Let's go, let's go meet our new members."
Saying that, he picked up the trench coat on the table and walked out of the safe house, 2B following closely behind, "Master, are you saying?"
"Yes, the Adjudicator's new members."
