Chapter 86 - Trouble in the Void 2

Chen Tian stood with his hands in his trench coat pockets, looking at Ronan with a faint smile.

The Kree Empire's most powerful Accuser felt a chill run up his spine at that moment—aside from Thanos, he had never experienced this emotion called 'fear' in front of anyone else.

"Bayonetta," Chen Tian called softly, a lazy smile in his voice, "Are the small fries dealt with?"

On the other side of the battlefield, Bayonetta was stepping on a Kree soldier's back.

Hearing the call, she pushed up her glasses: "Of course, My Lord~"

She suddenly lifted her long, beautiful leg, the tip of her high heel drawing a crimson arc in the air.

The Kree soldier she was stepping on instantly turned into a black mist and dissipated.

At the same time, the remaining dozen or so Kree elite warriors around them screamed simultaneously, their Shadows suddenly twisting and deforming, standing up like living beings, turning back to strangle their original owners, dragging them into their own Shadows.

"Now..." Bayonetta turned to face Chen Tian, crossing her hands over her chest and performing an exaggerated bow.

With this movement, her black catsuit suddenly began to flow.

Kiana had just pinned Star-Lord to the ground and immediately shouted in displeasure, "Bayonetta! You can't be so revealing in front of outsiders!"

Bayonetta ignored her, slowly straightening up as her 'clothing' automatically deconstructed and reassembled, ultimately retaining only the most essential coverings.

She took off her glasses and bit them between her lips, her hands sweeping through the air, every movement like dancing a deadly tango.

"My Lord~" She winked at Chen Tian, "Didn't you want to see me summon a demon? Now... don't be charmed by me, alright~"

As the last syllable fell, Bayonetta suddenly leaped high, her long hair dancing like a living thing, part of it transforming into countless black butterflies scattering, while another part wove into a complex magic circle in the air.

The space of the Land of Nihility began to twist, and countless ancient magic patterns appeared in the air.

"Gomorrah~" (Gomorrah, also called Gamora, here we will uniformly use Gomorrah.) She softly called the name of her contracted demon, her voice suddenly becoming ethereal and multi-layered.

The shadows on the ground suddenly boiled, and a gigantic gate of hell slowly opened behind Bayonetta.

Her long hair continuously extended, coiling around the doorframe like threads.

A chilling shriek came from within the gate, and a giant claw covered in black scales stretched out from inside.

Bayonetta's body stretched in mid-air, and more of her long hair detached from her body, turning into reins to control the demon.

The gate of hell fully opened, and a colossal hellish dragon roared as it rushed out.

Its entire body was covered in countless chains, each connecting to Bayonetta's hair strands.

(Originally, according to the game's setting, Bayonetta had to pluck out her heart every time she summoned Gomorrah's full form, but here that has been removed.)

Star-Lord and his group's jaws nearly dropped to the ground: "This... isn't this too unfair?!"

Gomorrah's massive body suddenly swooped down, its thick dragon tail sweeping across the sky like a whip.

Ronan's few ships had no time to dodge and were directly smashed into pieces by the dragon tail.

The metal hulls twisted and deformed under the immense impact, and the cockpit glass shattered and splattered.

"Boom!"

One ship was crushed in mid-air by the dragon's claw, its burning engine fragments falling like meteors.

Gomorrah opened its gaping maw, its sharp dragon teeth directly biting through the armor of another ship, severing it in half.

In the explosion's firelight, a dark red glow could be seen surging deep within its throat.

The wreckage fell to the ground, each twisted piece of metal testifying to the terrifying pure physical strength of this beast.

Without energy weapons, without magic attacks, relying solely on the most primitive biting and clawing, Gomorrah completely destroyed these dozens of ships.

"Ah... nothing for me to do again..." Saitama stood on the ruins, scratching his bald head with a look of utter despair, "What exactly did I come here for anyway...?"

Ronan stood frozen, cold sweat seeping from his blue skin.

He had never seen such a terrifying creature; he swallowed with difficulty, his hand gripping his warhammer trembling slightly.

Just then, an invisible force suddenly descended from the sky.

Ronan felt as if a mountain had been pressed onto his back, and he suddenly fell to one knee, desperately supporting himself with his warhammer, the hammer handle groaning under the immense pressure.

"Oh?" Chen Tian raised an eyebrow, a flicker of surprise in his eyes, "Still able to resist this? Not bad."

Chen Tian casually waved his hand, and the invisible pressure covering Ronan instantly dissipated.

Ronan stumbled unexpectedly, looking up at Chen Tian in disbelief.

"You...?" A flicker of confusion crossed Ronan's eyes, but it was immediately replaced by anger.

He suddenly grabbed his warhammer and let out a deafening roar: "Die!"

The Kree warrior's explosive power allowed him to rush in front of Chen Tian in an instant.

The ground cracked beneath his feet, and gravel flew.

He leaped high, the Universal Weapon glowing with purple energy, smashing towards Chen Tian's head.

"Crack—"

Chen Tian merely sneered, and the moment he clenched his right fist, the surrounding air emitted a crisp sound like shattering glass.

Ronan's hammer suddenly stopped less than ten centimeters from Chen Tian's head, as if it had struck an invisible barrier.

"Bang!"

The immense recoil caused Ronan's tiger's mouth to split, and purple blood flowed down the hammer handle.

He stared in astonishment at the unmoving Chen Tian, who still maintained his leisurely posture with one hand in his pocket.

Chen Tian looked at Ronan's shocked face and smiled playfully: "This is called Limitless, that guy Corvus Glaive once tried..."

He tilted his head, a hint of mockery in his eyes, "Didn't Thanos tell you?"

Suddenly, he 'oh'ed as if remembering something: "I forgot, Corvus Glaive is already dead.

And you... are just a dog kept by Thanos."

Ronan's pupils contracted violently, and purple blood seeped from between his teeth.

He wanted to retreat but was firmly pinned in place by an invisible repulsive force.

"Watch closely," Chen Tian slowly pulled his fist back to his waist, his eyes brimming with killing intent, "This move will be very cool."

The air in the Land of Nihility instantly solidified.

Bayonetta, at some point, had sat on the ruins, legs crossed, resting her chin in her hand with an expectant smile.

Gomorrah growled uneasily, its scales bristling.

"Boom—!"

Chen Tian suddenly struck with his fist, and countless crisp sounds of space shattering exploded in the void.

Starting from Ronan, countless tree-like cracks appeared in the air, like lightning splitting in the air.

"Crack-crack-crack—"

Ronan's body began to disintegrate the moment it came into contact with this force.

His armor shattered like glass, his skin peeled off inch by inch, and his bones turned to powder under the immense pressure.

The Universal Weapon let out a final wail, its purple energy core exploding, leaving only half of a broken hammerhead spinning and flying into the distance.

This force continued to spread outwards, and the buildings behind Ronan began to tremble violently.

Countless structures, amidst the violent tremors, turned into ruins, becoming dust in the air.

District D of the entire Land of Nihility became a ruin, and even the outermost Celestials' skull was pierced with a large hole, with countless cracks spreading around the opening.

Chen Tian retracted his fist and lightly blew on his knuckles: "Indeed, using the Tremor-Tremor Fruit's ability with the physical quality of a demon is truly fascinating."

Bayonetta suddenly appeared beside him, Gomorrah having disappeared at some point, and she intimately linked her arm through his: "My Lord~ You've ruined the entire Land of Nihility just like East Capital~" She looked at the distant ruins, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Star-Lord and his group trembled behind Chen Tian.

Rocket's fur stood on end: "Damn it! This guy shattered space with one punch!"

Groot hugged his head with both hands: "I am Groot!" (Translation: We're going to die!)

Saitama stood aside, looking dejected: "I could clearly do that too... Why does no one ever ask me to fight...?"

Chen Tian turned around, his gaze falling on Star-Lord, who was tied up like a dumpling with golden chains by Kiana and thrown on the ground.

"Quill," Chen Tian smiled and bent down, his voice gentle, "Is the Cosmic Orb with The Collector?"

Star-Lord's Adam's apple bobbed up and down, cold sweat trickling down his forehead.

He nodded frantically, his head bobbing faster than a chick pecking at rice.

"Thank you."

Chen Tian straightened up, bowing politely, as if he wasn't the one who had just shattered almost half of the Land of Nihility with a single punch.

He strode towards The Collector's exhibition hall.

As he passed Gamora, she suddenly spoke: "Wait!"

Chen Tian stopped, turning his head to look at her.

"If I… am willing to contact Thanos," Gamora took a few deep breaths and said, "can you eliminate him?"

Silence suddenly fell over the ruins. Bayonetta raised an eyebrow with interest, Kiana released Star-Lord's foot, and everyone held their breath.

Chen Tian stroked his chin, thinking for a few seconds.

"I can." He replied casually, "However…"

He turned to face Gamora, a dangerous glint flashing in his pupils: "Are you sure you want to do this? Once Thanos dies, the balance of the Universe will be broken. At that time, it won't be as simple as half of all life dying."

Gamora's pupils contracted sharply. She had never considered this question—or rather, she had never thought that anyone could truly threaten Thanos's existence.

"I…" Her voice trembled slightly.

Chen Tian suddenly laughed: "Just kidding. What does the balance of the Universe have to do with me?" He turned and continued walking forward, waving his hand casually, "Contact him if you want to, I was just about to settle the score with him for plotting against me."

Bayonetta linked her arm through his, a violet scent emanating from her: "My Lord~ The Collector's collection might have something interesting in it~"

"Emmm, a talking duck? Or a dog in an astronaut suit?" Chen Tian looked up at the crumbling exhibition hall, "Those all seem pretty good."

Behind them, Star-Lord finally found his voice: "Hey! Wait! You're just leaving like that? At least untie me first!"

Kiana stomped on his back: "Shut up, Mr. Thief." Then she glared at Bayonetta, the witch, who was intimately rubbing against Chen Tian.

Rocket hugged his tail, trembling: "I swear, I'll never steal anything shiny again…"

Groot curled into a ball: "I am Groot…" (Translation: I want to go home…)

Saitama squatted on the ruins, drawing circles: "I can also punch a Planet apart… Why does no one ask me to fight…"

"Saitama Teacher!" Kiana suddenly raised her voice, her White braids swinging behind her, "Could I trouble you to help watch these bandits?"

Saitama, who had been squatting on the ruins drawing circles, suddenly stiffened, as if a light bulb had lit up above his bald head. He stood up with a "swish," his eyes shining: "Finally someone is looking for me—"

His words caught halfway because he had heard Kiana's request. His shoulders instantly slumped, and he deflated like a punctured balloon: "Ah… just watching people…"

He shuffled over, his yellow cape drooping listlessly. As he passed a piece of rubble, he kicked it in frustration, and the stone flew out with a "whoosh," punching another large hole in the bone wall of the Land of Nihility.

"Saitama Teacher!" Star-Lord looked at the large hole in horror, "Be gentle! We're still here!"

Saitama squatted next to Star-Lord, propping his chin on one hand, his dead fish eyes staring at him: "Don't move around… I'm so bored…"

On the other side, Kiana had already quickly caught up with Chen Tian and Bayonetta. Anger flickered in her blue pupils, especially when she saw Bayonetta clinging to Chen Tian.

"Bayonetta!" Kiana grabbed the witch's wrist, "That's enough!"

Bayonetta's red lips curved slightly, and she spun around, her long black hair brushing Chen Tian's cheek: "Oh my~ Is the little Persian cat jealous?"

"Who, who's jealous!" Kiana's face instantly flushed, but her grip didn't loosen at all, "I just… I just think you're being too undignified!"

Chen Tian watched the tug-of-war between the older woman and the young girl with interest, then suddenly reached out and ruffled Kiana's White hair: "Alright, stop messing around. We need to get the Cosmic Orb."

This intimate gesture made Kiana freeze instantly. With a chuckle, Bayonetta seized the opportunity to break free, sliding to Chen Tian's other side like a snake, and winked provocatively at Kiana.

Kiana stomped her foot in anger: "You witch!"

In the distance, Saitama watched the scene and sighed: "It's good to be young…"

Star-Lord frantically winked at Rocket, his eyeballs almost popping out. Rocket's small paw quietly reached for the laser dagger at his waist, while warily eyeing Saitama, slowly inching towards Star-Lord.

"Hey, Rocket…" Star-Lord urged in a whisper, "Hurry…"

Rocket bared his teeth: "Shut up, idiot! I'm trying!"

Gamora watched the scene with cold eyes, letting out a sarcastic laugh: "Did you forget who shattered the Dark Aster with one punch?"

Rocket's movements instantly froze, his furry ears perking up with a "whoosh." He mechanically raised his head, meeting Saitama's bored, dead fish eyes.

"Ah… that…" Rocket chuckled dryly, his paw quickly moving away from the dagger, "I was just… scratching an itch…"

Star-Lord's expression instantly fell, and he forced a smile at Saitama that was uglier than a cry: "Haha… The weather's really nice today…"

Saitama scratched his cheek, sighing: "So boring…"

Just then, a faint groan came from deep within the ruins.

"Ugh… Someone… help me up…" Drax poked half his body out of the rubble, covered in dust, "I'm not dead yet…"

Rocket rolled his eyes: "Damn, this big idiot is really tough."

Star-Lord's eyes lit up: "Hey! Drax! Come over and untie us!"

Drax struggled out, shaking his dizzy head: "Peter? How did you get tied up?"

"It's a long story…" Star-Lord squirmed, "First, help us—"

"No." Saitama suddenly spoke, startling Drax, "Kiana told me to watch you guys."

Drax then noticed the bald man squatting nearby. He squinted: "Are you new? You look very weak."

Rocket covered his eyes in horror: "It's over…"

Saitama's eyes suddenly lit up: "Oh? You want to fight?"

Drax stretched his shoulders: "Just in time, I need a warm-up." He took a fighting stance, "Come on, little bald man!"

"Great!" Saitama jumped up excitedly, "Finally someone wants to fight me!"

Star-Lord closed his eyes in despair: "Drax, you idiot…"

Drax roared and charged at Saitama. His fist, accompanied by the sound of rushing air, went straight for Saitama's face—

"Bang!"

Saitama lightly extended a single finger, stopping Drax's fist. The air seemed to freeze for a second.

"Huh?" Saitama's shoulders slumped in disappointment.

The next second, Drax flew backward like a cannonball, crashing through three more crumbling walls before stopping.

Rocket's fur all stood on end: "Damn, damn, damn!"

Groot immediately curled into a ball in fright: "I am Groot!" (Translation: Don't look at me, don't look at me!)

Star-Lord swallowed: "Um… Mr. Saitama… how about we play a game? Like… rock-paper-scissors?"

Saitama squatted back down, continuing to draw circles: "Boring…"

In the distance, Drax's voice faintly drifted over: "I… I'm still alive…"

Just as Star-Lord and his group were holding their breath, an explosion came from behind. Everyone turned sharply, only to see The Collector's exhibition hall had already turned into ruins, its walls torn apart like paper, revealing the stunned Collector inside and his strange collections.

"Bang!"

A duck wearing a suit and a bow tie—Howard the Duck—sat on a stone, somehow pulling out a wine glass with liquid still in it. At his feet, Cosmo the space dog sat on the ground, tongue hanging out.

"Oh, excuse me, Mr. White-haired, you continue, I just haven't been out in so long, just having a drink."

Chen Tian smiled at Howard the Duck, stepping on the rubble as he slowly approached The Collector who was sitting on the ground.

"I knocked just now." Chen Tian shrugged, "Unfortunately, no one answered, so I had to come in uninvited." His gaze swept over the scattered collections, finally resting on The Collector's pale face: "Now… can you give me the Cosmic Orb?
